Honestly, one of the best hotels I’ve stayed in around the globe. Check-in was a little long and service was slow when we arrived but apart from that everything was incredible. We had the family suite for just the two of us but this was perfect. The room was cleaned everyday and the cleaning staff were super helpful in getting us towels or other bits. Towels are provided by the pool which is a huge help. The bar staff were great, prices for beer wasn’t anything we didn’t expect. The on-site catering facilities where great. We only ate here once but the food and service was fab. We ordered a lot of food in and collected in reception (massive plus to saving money). The pool was lovely, always space and being within a 2 minutes/second walk to volcano bay was the best experience. The hotel is also on the Universal Garden walk route so we didn’t have to get transport to the parks at all. It’s a 20 minute walk to city walk, and from her you go into either park so this was super ideal. The wall is also lovely so we enjoyed this freedom.

The hotel is beautiful. I just spent a week with my 2 kids in a family suite. There was plenty of room, the beds were comfortable and anything we requested was brought over immediately. The views by the pool are lovely. The dining area is beautiful with views of the pool and the volcano. The food was very good and very reasonably priced. There was so much to do at the hotel, like glow bowling, arcade, shopping, dining at several restaurants, there are several bars and other outdoor activities. The location is actually connected to Volcano Bay and very close to City Walk and Universal as well as Islands of Adventure. Overall we had an amazing vacation and I cannot wait to go back to The Cabana Bay Beach Club.

Very nice place to stay and a great staff. Check in was smooth and the shuttle to city walk was amazing. Everything is conveniently located at the hotel. Only complaint is the long Starbucks line but the staffed did they're best and kept a smile on their face. The fridge is very small and doesn't keep items cool. One of the bus driver who sang Happy birthday to my wife was phenomenal. She could definitely sing professionally. Just all around great

I had a lovely stay here. The room was nice, clean, and I also liked that you could text front desk for your needs and they handled everything asap. The lazy river and hot tub was also amazing! The diner (cafeteria) is a little on the pricey side but the food was good. I never waited more than 3-5 minutes for the shuttle to take us to Universal Studios/City Walk/Islands of Adventure (all in one place). It’s a very family friendly hotel. Would recommend staying here!

There are packages you can buy that include parking so I would check with reservations if it's available
No there is not family suites have the couch with a sliding door between couch and beds
Yes, there are two pools. One has a slide and the other one has a lazy river. Who needs a water park when you have this place!
If heated and very nice ...
Everyone thats stays at one of Unerversials properties get early access
The hotel can arrange transportation for you at 39.99 per person round trip
That was smart
We paid 1500$ for 4 days park to park and 4 nights at the cabana bay resort. That was for 3 of us.
To stay there two weeks for my family and I was $3,000
Hello Amparo, by simple logic, Universal Hotels do not offer transfer to their competition, which is Disney, adding that the hotel is 25 minutes from Disney. I recommend Hotels in the Lake Buena Vista area, from chains such as Quality Inn or Double Tree, They offer breakfast included and free transfers to Disney and are in an area full of supermarkets and souvenir shops, plus, the price up to 70% less than staying at Disney Any questions, I can help you without obligation.
Good question. They're good about getting trash and used towels if you put them in a bag outside your door and they will send new ones anytime
Yes, but too small for a typical laptop.
The standard suites have a mini fridge but no microwave. Suites have a mini kitchenette
This may help: https://www.universalorlando.com/web/en/us/things-to-do/dining/galaxy-bowl-restaurant
Do they have complementary breakfast?
We were able to check in early since our room was ready. Not guaranteed.
If you are staying in the park hotels they will deliver items to your room, they will also send the to the front of the park, so you do not have to carry them around all day. No charge, just takes time.
Yes but you need to enter your details and room number before you can use it .But if you're visiting you will need to use the lobby WiFi connection
3pm is the time. But, if you come earlier and your room isn't ready. They will hold your belongings so you can begin your adventure. Enjoy
Yes
There is a shop with such items in the lobby area
They offer ticket sales onsite, but discounts are applied only to FL residents or Annual Pass Holders.
They have heated pools. Do not know how many or which ones but pools with heating can be turned on or off so you could swim in a pool with the feature off and it still technically be a heated pool.
If you have. They are different complexes of 3 floors with elevator
I only remember free shuttle to their own properties, nothing else
If you booked a "vacation package" through Universal then an airport shuttle is included. If not then its around $30 per person roundtrip. Uber is an option and much cheaper.
Yes, they have both cots for older children and adults, as well as cribs (for younger ones) , when requested.
No free shuttle . We stay in Cabana Bay Hotel in Universal Studio. They booking airport transportation.
Yes have the packages sent to universal studios cabana bay Beach resort in care of your name and room number and if you are in the parks the reception office can accept them and have them delivered to your room or held at the concierge office
I didn't use transfer
Believe it or not, being one of the most visited cities in the world. Orlando doesn't have any casinos. Bummer! Closest one is near Tampa like 90 miles away at the Seminole Hard Rock Cafe
Call the resort. There is a free bus that goes to and from the airport. You have to register. My son and I used it with no problem.
Both for parking daily and a resort fee
You can book Superstar shuttle service that picks you up from the airport and will take you to the resort and back to the airport. Cabana Bay does have shuttles to and from the parks everyday till 1am or 2am
Not free...If order combo plate, burgers come with fries. Portions are contingent upon server but there nice about giving a lil extra if ask..Don't forget to ask for the passholder discount..IF you get a chance frequent the other resorts & try there restarant..We walked over and explored..Enjoy your trip!🤗
Reasonably priced $12-$15. Starbucks also inside hotel. Shuttle take you to City Walk where there are more restaurants. My kids and I did both and we had an awesome time 😍
They will check you in, but will not give you a room # until it's after 4pm.. they can also store your luggage free while you enjoy the amenities
The pool by the lobby closes at 8 and the pool pool opposite building 6 closures at 11 p.m.
The rooms don't have anyway of making meals. What worked the best for me and my family was door dash. We were able to find much more affordable meals for us and just met them in the lobby.
All open
Yes to universal every 10 to 15 min.
They are still under Covid restrictions so no house keeping so that everyone stays safe if you need anything after check in you can call the front desk or text the number they give you and they will deliver it no they dont store luggage you keep it on your room
Eh...I wouldn't say completely secure but they use techniques such as windows facing the parking lot, shrubs and vegetation barriers near the roadways. The park itself has its own roadways so that helps with security as well. You can tell they do give thought and consideration into risk and threat management. All in all, I would rate their security as 7/10 which is pretty good in my book as someone in the infruscture security industry
Both times we were there the bigger pool with the water slide was only open on the weekends. The pool with the lazy river was open all 7 days.
No about 45 minutes away to coco beach
Beautyrest recharge by Simmons hospitality
No but too take advantage of fl residents for park tickets yes
No but there is a mini mart inside the hotel
Anything is possible for the right amount of money! However, there are several local grocery stores in the area that are easily accessible form the property.
Yes they are but the movement of the lazy river dispenses the heat so it is significantly cooler than the standing water (pool).
No, express pass is a purchase item, sorry! But you do get early entrance when staying at any of the on site properties. :) Anta Pinkney says you do at the two that are super expensive, I don't know about those! But yes, you probably do at those two? Maybe even Hard Rock?? Not with Cabana Bay.
yes very fast
I would email the hotel, but consider it minimal.
Hi, not sure if there is a place where you can leave your luggage, you would have to email the hotel direct, as we had a car we left our luggage in the boot, if you have a car you can use the hotel parking all day on the day of checkout...
11am
Self service $3 for washer and $3 for dryer. In our section of the hotel the laundry was on the 6th floor and I believe the 3rd floor. There is soap and dryer sheets to purchase via vending machines but cheaper to bring your own pod and a few sheets from home.
As far as i know the room i stayed in has two beds and a pull out bed i believe queen size ........ As far as I know, the room I stayed in has two beds and a folding bed, I think the queen size ........
No
Walk over to the Sapphire or Royal Pacific to take the boat to City Walk, and pretty much everything there is great to eat at!
11pm. however it can be shut down during the day if Lightning is 5 miles or less away
Just same as anywhere else but food.was awesome
They have restaurants at Cabana Bay. You can also take a free Universal bus back and forth to the parks, which gives you access to all of CityWalk, which has more restaurants than you know what to do with. That place is awesome! And it's only like a five minute bus ride
You can get breakfast in the lobby but if you want breakffast in universal you take a bus and vodoo doughnuts and bubba gumps or hard rock cafe
They have plenty of designated areas around the building entrances.
We went the 3rd and 4th we stayed on the 1st floor with 2 beds and a pull out sofa bed
If you check in before your room is ready, they will keep your bags for you (but you won't really be able to access them, so have a day bag ready). They have showers / changing rooms for you to use as well. They are very accommodating.
We actually checked in early. Our plane arrived at 8am and we got to the hotel at 10. They let us check in then!
You need to call the hotel. This is Google maps!!
Yes they do. It is on the ground floor although there are only 4 or 5 of each so can get busy. There is a vending machine selling powder and dryer sheets at $1 a pack. The machines are about $3 ( all in quarters) each depending on the service you choose. Enjoy your stay.
You should call the Hotel. Being as you are going for a special event, that might include special passes. (This is Google maps!) Not the hotel.
Usually the cost of the package depends on the size or weight and also the company they use to send it (United States postal service, FedEx, etc). It is a good idea to call the hotel to verify.
Not at all. The service is charged.
Did you notify the front desk of the problem?
Yes
If there is a meal plan but I do not recommend it there are not many options to eat at that hotel.
No complementary breakfast, but they do have a full breakfast kitchen and a Starbucks on site.
Parking costs about $ 14 a day. Breakfast can range between 5 and 20 dollars per person.
It's not free. I rent a car from almundo in alamo twice and it was all 10 points. The hotel has transport to universal parks. Is very good. It offers different meals and is not expensive.
I'm sure they will give it back if they found it.
I actually did my reservation on universal Orlando we site. But I do have a number that is on the back of their room key card 1-800-BE-A-STAR
Only a fridge comes with a standard room! The diner is so far away from most of the rooms it's a pretty good bet that your food will be cold
All transfers are free. I have combed rooms on Airbnb and I have not paid anyone for the transfer
Yes ! You can the bus stop is at the resort . As long as you stay at the resort it's free...
They did take our credit card at check in for a security deposit and charged it one cent if that's what you're asking. Even though we booked it with our flight and park pass.
You would need to call and ask
Yes, you can. Very friendly staff to help.
You would have to call and ask
Some hotels, will tax over any delivery item sended to a guest ! In this case you need to contact them by email.
Sorry I can help you
Call the hotel because today I saw the bus to the airport. And was free.
it's free
I am just here in the Cabana Bay and they charged me USD 5 for receiving a small package, seems they started doing so.
There is Avis in the lobby. Definitely check with them a few days prior. We were able to get one 2 days out.
There isn't a grocery store nearby
ID for adults; as long as he's with an legal adult, he's fine.
I forgot, normally I fiddle with them to figure out what they do and I'm satisfied. Then I forget about it until the next time I stay there, where I fiddle with them and figure it out again. I'm not bothered with not knowing what they do when I'm not there. I'm satisfied with learning anew what they do each time I go there, by fiddling with them and learning what they do. It doesn't take long just a few moments and I can do it by myself.
Inclusive yes they offer. Is it worth it ? Absolutely not. Your best bet is to drive to walmart and get a few snacks and microwave food. You will have a microwave in your room. Or leave site to eat at a restaurant . Walmart is .06 miles from resort and many restaurants close by.
The hotel has towels but I understand that they cannot be taken out of the pool area
I think the setup is the same, its just the view that changes. Two queen beds and a separate family room kitchenette area. They also have 2 bedroom suites with a kitchenette area
Yep, pool and towels are free. However you do have to pay for the tubes to use in the lazy river. There is several price points and you do get to keep the tube. You can choose to float in a life jacket or on your own as well. I don't know if the refrigerator depends on the room size. I was in a 2 bed room and there was a nice sized refrigerator in the kitchenette area.
And
As late as you want!! One time we checked in at 2:30am meanwhile our room was ready the day before at 4:00pm.
Really dont know. If you buy vía Amazon, you have an Amazon locker near by
Answers to all your questions are usually available on the website. Any of Cabana Bay's superstar staff will find you the answers to everything you want to know also.
You can confirm reservations at the hotel reception via phone. You should also have some sort of invoice/confirmation from the company you purchased the hotel stay from.
$14/night/vehicle +tax. Visit www.universalorlando.com foe further info.
Yes they will show you where to store it at reception
I was in January. I received three packages before my check in. I looked for them when I arrived and they didn't charge me anything. It was two packages from the Disney Store and a large one from Walmart. Excellent.
We had a family suite which had a coffee machine, not sure of the brand. Fill the reservoir and it drips water over coffee bags for one or two mugs.
I could not tell you can dial the hotel and receive more information
Yes, I received three packages, big ones. Two from the Disney Store and one from Walmart. They arrived at the hotel a few days before me and I looked for them when I arrived. I did not advise anything. They didn't charge me. Greetings.
They actually have 2 places in the park that will do that.
I believe so, because I found a small puppy with its owner, near the pool. But, it is better to call the hotel and confirm.
Hi. You would have to call customer service directly
If it is apart, the cost is $ 14 dollars per day, if I do not remember more
Senor, the park and the Hotel to Miami Beach are 3 hours away. It is not close.
Yes. In some rooms there is one and others that comes with a sofa bed and a partition, there is 2.
Simple check out...just leave.
You can buy tickets at the hotel. As far as discounts nothing special from the hotel itself. You do get early to Volcano Bay and Harry Potter in the Universal Studios park. If you're a Florida resident, which this is what I did last week. I bought, online, the BOGO tix. I got 1 day free with a purchase for 1 day (both parks).
Yes for the Universal park.
Yes, there is a service to leave the baggage if your room is not ready or if you can't go in it.
No pets.... unless its an official service dog..... people have to realize hotels have to deal with untrained pets peeing and crapping... there are hotels that allow pets but im glad Cabana Bay isnt one... I leave my dog and cat with a loved one that watches them.
Room pricing and availability is located on the website. Visiting the resort is free to enter the property and shop the stores and food services. Bowling as well.
We are here now and none of them have balconies
Yes they're are both open and yes they are heated. With that being said we went last year in December and we unfortunately had the coldest spell of weather EVER!!! The high was only around 43°. Usually the temp here in FL in the month of January is between 65-70. Nice enough to walk around the Universal Parks. Still a bit chilly for the pool but, there's always hot tub. 😊
Not sure which make but they would be a memory foam type matress.
It has free internet. Impressions near the Lobby
In the package we made there was no breakfast included. Most days we have coffee in the room we bought at the market. When we ate at the hotel it was around 10 dollars per person.
All day but watch out for special event times, such as the grad bash that happened recently. Traffic was so bad that it took us almost 40min to get to city walk. It was much faster to walk.
It's a single cup brewer, similar to a Keurig, but able to make two separate cups at once. Coffee pods and packets of sugar/creamer are provided.
To volcano bay is connected to it and there is a bus that will take u to the parks great hotel especially for kids
Thank you very much for your answers!
The lady at check in said there is a charge for parking but we got parking free because we are staying 10 days.
No
No but if you catch the tram to City Walk there are lots of wonderful places to eat and the tram is free and runs very quickly throughout the day and evening
Yes, they have many activities for a couple to do together. They have resturaunts featuring light food and fine dining plenty of bars. There are hot tubs and cabanas to rent. The resort is quiet by rooms and many areas to enjoy your time
Whatever
Yes...depths for All ages ...amazing place
No, there is a starbucks within the hotel. You can elect to have coffee from the diner area if you'd like.
It's $8 a person for 45 mins, from noon till 4 after that it goes to regular prices and I'm not sure how much that is.
I do not think so. It is partnered and maintained by Universial.
It happened to me too but I do not know how! Did you get a return?
Yes it does. Separate shower/locker room and bathroom area in gym near lobby
There is a shuttle service you can buy ahead of time. But it was 2-3 times more expensive than Mears taxi.
Complete approx. $ 10.- dollars plus tax will be $ 11.- dollars
Any age with parent present but not as much fun as pool area for kids.
Check in is officially at 4pm. The earlier you check in the higher on the list you are as rooms are cleaned and available for occupancy. That translates into getting into your room earlier. Even if your room isn't ready, you can still use all the hotel's amenities.
Yes, hold 30 days.
12 dollars a day
Yes, you can send purchases to the hotel. Free of charge.
You can buy tickets at the hotel, staying at Cabana Bay gives you early access
Do you know if it's payment or is it free with the hotel's single reservation?
They have plenty of stuff for birthday people to do. Just ask when you check in.
Yeah, shop on site with suncream and souvenirs.
A lot will depend on the size of your party, however Sanford Orlando is almost 1/2 way to Daytona from Universal/ Disney. The shuttle costs will likely be very steep, as they charge per person. You will likely be better off getting multiple ubers
You get only early admission into parks. It really is all you need. Start from back of the park first.. Lines are shorter..
Can anyone tell if staying at the cabana bay (and already having tickets for the 3 parks) is it possible to enter the parks 1 hour earlier? Including volcano?
This florida mall
On trip advisor it says they offer a great military discount
Yes, but it does cost money. I believe for one trip per person is $21. I know they have a round trip but I'm not sure on the price.
It is a separate charge. $12 per day per car.
