This bus service offers a way out of the LAX airport terminal to a destination about 30 minutes away. So that family can pick you up at a less congested area at the bus terminal versus the airport terminal where there's way too much traffic. It's a very nice service I've used it often.

This place is like a well oiled machine. Cut and dry purchases and payment system. The buses always clean and their parking rates are the cheapest I've seen in Los Angeles. Going to the airport and on vacation, just leave your car there at $5.00 a day, what a blessing. Thank You Fly Away!!!

This is the only way to go if you have to get to LAX airport on your own. The shuttles are frequent, comfortable, rarely full, and run a direct point to point service at a $10 each way price tag that is absolutely unbeatable. No sketchy passengers, Drivers are efficient at stowing and retrieving your luggage. Great service, highly recommend.

Wasn't sold on the idea of a transport system from Van Nuys to LAX when I've been driving that distance for many years. My wife suggested it when we decided to visit family on the East Coast and didn't want to deal with the drive to LAX at 8AM nor the hassle/cost of parking. Was more than pleasantly surprised the efficiency and the professionalism of the staff. I (and my family) have utilized this service several times in the ensuing months and been consistently impressed by the entire process (buying tickets through getting to LAX). I normally fly Southwest so I have the added benefit of being the first stop for both drop-off and pickup which makes it extra nice. Drivers are always courteous and amiable and get us to our destination with no fuss or muss. Buses are always clean and spacious. Parking structure is also a plus - always clean, plenty of parking and a reasonable fee. Will use again for future trips.

Stefan Gural , your 411 is so wrong. The Van Nuys fly away bus. Does run 24 hours...365 days a year . Smh
Bottom Line: The parking charges there are extremely reasonable so you'll be fine. If you are talking about a long term parking situation, I would ask an attendant inside(they are there from early AM to late night) . If you parked and then took the Flyaway to your flight, you simply would show them the Flyaway bus ticket you purchased(either online from your phone or paper) and they will just go ahead and calculate your parking charges based on that date. Im guessing that's what you mean. Although I think there will be a parking attendant when you exit but you can just walk inside at the ticketing window (or just ask any employee). But they are very helpful and friendly, so you won't have a problem. They might even have it recorded based on your name, car info in their records so it won't be a problem. Usually I'm dropped off but I did park there myself in the lot and take the Flyaway and was gone over a week-my mom came to retrieve my car before I came back with no problem in fact
Not less then 2 hours before
I took it las night and is $9.75... with no traffic from vanuys is just 30 min... pretty good service
Yes, you most certainly can, but if you can go online to www.flylax.com & click the menu bars & then Fare/Buy Tickets you can find other options on where you can also buy tickets. Plus they are good for up to 30 days, but they are also non-refindable.
Yes with your ATM card so you can have the records in your hands and not waiting for the credit company to send you statements. 😁
You will need a crate of some kind same way flying also give them a call for peace of mind .
Early morning schedule is usually every 15 minutes but rest of the day is 30 minute increments. Usually best to show up at least 10 minutes before start of the hour or half hour.
I agree, about 45 mins.
Actual times listed on flyaway web page. But essencially, every 20 min.
Yes you can buy tickets at Van Nuys, but no cash only credit cards.
This information is on the Flyaway website. Animals: Trained service animals are allowed to accompany qualified customers with disabilities on the bus. A service animal should sit in the floor space in front of the customer’s seat. To comply with safety regulations, the animal cannot protrude in the aisle of the bus. Non-service animals are required to be in a suitable carrier. The carrier must fit completely under the seat in front of the customer and remain there at all times.
Taking Uber is the best and faster than taking the FlyAway bus - a 45 minutes savings on average. Using your family member may not be worth it since it will be a round trip from your family member. If the time is not an issue, taking a Flyways is the best. Note: My recent FlyAway bus experience shows I had to spend 35 to 45 minutes at the FlyAway lobby and the bus area - wait for the gate towards the bus area open; then spent another 20 minutes to see all luggages to be loaded; 3) wait for all passengers boarding on the bus etc.
The daily rate is $1 per hour, and up to $5 maximum per day.
One way fare is $9.75. For hours, visit the FlyAway Van Nuys page. Parking is available at the FlyAway® Terminal in the long-term parking lot and parking structure by entering on Woodley Avenue. The daily rate is $4 per 24 hours and $1 per 2 hours thereafter, with a 30-day limit.
Pay at the station best to just get round trip. Open seating on the bus, if you don't get round trip, you still get on the bus at lax and pay when you get back to the station, credit debit.
The fly away trips go to major airports in California. Good luck & have a safe journey.
Parking is incteading to $5.00 per day after 01JAN19
Yes
$ 4.00 per day
No u have to wait till u get to the flyaway station u can purchase the ticket there
They run 24 hours every 15 mins aft a certain time or can be every 30 mins Dee schd
$9.75 each way. Well worth the cost. Traffic can be crazy.
Yes, it runs 24/7, every 15-30 minutes!!
Not from the Van Nuys terminal, no. Actually, BUR isn't far and you'd probably be better off calling an Uber or Lyft.
Hour and 10 minutes
$1 for each of the first four hours, or $4 per full day: 1 hr, $1; 2 hr, $2; 3 hr, $3; 4 hr, $4; 5 hr, $4; and so on, never more than $4/day.
Yes, they usually have 2 people who help load/unloaf the luggage when you depart for the airport and when you return from the airport. They load your luggage based on the terminal that you're flying so they can get to it quick and easy when they drop you off at the airport. It might be a good idea to being a few dollars in cash for a tip
It's so easy to purchase these bus tickets at the Flyaway terminal that I see no point in trying to do so online.
Everytime I've used the fly away I have paid at their kiosk where the buses leave from. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
For the most part, every 30 minutes except between 4:30am to 9:15am when its every 15 minutes
The only way now Will be traveling to the LA station and go to LAX from there.
They made me sign some documents of when I was there and when I was leaving.
Yes to LAX and from LAX to van Nuys. Bus is comfortable n roomy. Trip is about 1hr depending on traffic
Every 15 minutes to a half hour depending on the time of day.
Depends on the time of the day, usually there's a bus going to LAX every 30 minutes, sometimes even 15 minutes
Flyaway bus stops outside each terminal. There is an overhead sign for the curb areA. I don't know about Lancaster.
No,I'm sorry ,but you can check in google
For your vehicle is better if you go to fing out yourself, all I can say is cheap and secure.
There are signs outside of the baggage area for the flyaway .
Usted sabe de agrado, pues eso del tip . Lleve las que twnga que llevar y que tenga. Buen viaje yo de mi parte dejo mi auto y si el viaje es de pocos dias pues siento que me es muy favorable asta por el trafico. Buen viaje
Not anymore. Night time is different and also Van Nuys or Union Station. Check the website...
It's valid until redeemed. Not date specific.
It took about 45 minutes
No, the Flyaway is a separate company and are not linked with Metro.
No you cannot. You would have to take a taxi, uber or lift from Van Nuys train station to the Flyaway station Is not too far. Maybe 3 miles
Look for Flyaway shuttle going Van Nuys, they come around every half hour or so. They'll require payment at Van Nuys station after arriving, there are kiosks to do that, they won't let you out without payment
I'm not familiar with the area so I am not sure
Maybe they have a number for you to call. That might be faster
Last year it wasn't, but there is always a chance
As of 11/2/2019: YES YOU CAN use your TAP or EZ Transit Pass at the Van Nuys FlyAway. You will complete tour transaction at the ticket counter. You can verify this at https://thesource.metro.net/2017/11/02/lax-flyaway-bus-now-accepts-tap-cards-and-ez-transit-passes/
I'm not sure you might have to call them and get that information
There's a overhead sign before you go into know your limit..
Yes! 34 hour service to LAX, just go online and check the travel times of the buses as the times change. They run more often a pick hours ..every 30 minutes....and every hour on off peak hours! Careful! You DON'T want to just be standing out there for over an hour!😬
Sorry. No way for me to know. Nothing posted there.
If it is is considered as a service animal covered under disabilities act contact customer service for clarification
5 USD per day.
When you arrive at the airport you have to go to Ground Transportation and walk outside to a place that has "Green section - Flyaway" You have to wait for the bus that says Hollywood. They must charge $ 9.75 for the trip. You can make a reservation online and it does not expire for 24 hours in case you arrive later
I've seen pets on the bus before but I would call to check with the bus company.
You can take the metro train and it goes to Burbank but the FlyAway only goes to LAX
Lap. Per California Highway Patrol it is okay to have an infant sitting in your lap when you are transported in a bus. I don't think the FlyAway buses are equipped for car seats but you can call them directly and ask
The busses run 24 hours a day 7 days a week. They run either every hour or half hour depending on the time of day.
Its 4 dollars for one day. Make some math to know how much is for 9 days
The bus takes 40mins to 1 hour depends on traffic. Check Google maps for traffic. If you flight is domestic you need to be at the airport an hour before flight if international two hours. There is a bus every 30 mins from flyaway. So if I were you I will be there at 6:50 to take the 7:00 bus.
You may also purchase a ticket at the kiosk when you arrive at the flyaway from LAX.
Yes. Sometimes the bus gets full from the first terminals and keeps going without stopping in the last terminals. 5-6 pm is rush hour. So if you could walk to lesser number terminal you might have a higher chance catching the bus. I believe at that time there is a bus every 15 mins.
At $ 5 per day
Check directly with flyaway Long term parking is first come first served at$5.oo a day our last Trip had to drive around and look A little but found parking available
I've never bought online. If you are going to LAX, the ticket can be bought on site before boarding. If you are flying into LAX, you can board the bus without ticket. Then, you will have to buy ticket at the station, at one of the kiosks, or from attendant, upon arrival, in order to be able to exit the station.
Yes but not in the back of the bus. Its bumpy
There is a free parking lot for dropping and picking up passengers located at the entrance of the Van Nuys Flyaway building. Long term parking is either in the structure or an adjacent lot. You can park here for up to 30 days for about $4 a day. You will need a credit card to pay and exit. I can't remember if they have attendants at the exit point.
No reservation needed. Just drive up. Check their website for fees and route times
B afternoons If you leave every 30 minutes and arrive at the airport, your flight has been very long, and there are also more terminals in different points of Los Angeles and more places, excellent service 😍😍😍
I think is $7 ,but not sure I always have someone dropping me off
If you paid cash you're probably going to have to photograph the parking fee and just put that and dates in report. Not a good idea to pay parking with c/c because it always charges more then you need. Id say go to front desk but you'll have to prove to them you were parked there unless they have camera footage readily available. Im sure they could help you though.
$ 9.75 one way trip from Van Nuys to LAX...(remember) credit card's only. Faster way. Buy ticket online.
If you're not far away in the valley consider Uber there and back home when you return. Great stress reduction to not have to worry about the lot being full, it does happen.
4 to 6 a day 30 day limit. Structure is 6 and covered parking. Out side lot is 4
Every 30 minutes on hour and half hour. Pretty simple. It's either 2:00 or 2:30. Late night and early morning (11-5) it's on the hour. But best to download their full schedule for coming and going.
Please check their Web site.
Yes, you can park there for two weeks
No only to Los Angeles International airport
The bus runs every 15 to 20 minutes, so you need to be at the Flyway in enough time for the trip to LAX and to checkpoint for security and boarding.
Yes they will. You are asked the airline you are going to and they will stop in the terminal
You have to be there at 6am to be early at the airport.
They say to keep it with you. I always put mine in my wallet and forget I even have it, but am pleasantly surprised when I get back from a long trip and it is right there. If you lose it they will charge you, so make sure you have it
2pm
You can use it at any time, although it does expire 30 days after purchase.
Depending on traffic and time of day, it can take 1/2 hour to 1 1/2 hour.
You don't. You have to purchase ticket at bus terminal with credit card only
Esther ... José dé Jesús is correct ... $ 4 dollars a day ....
Every 15 mins 5am-8am then every 30 until around 1am. Then once hourly until 5am.
You could pay cash inside on a machine or pay on way out with credit card.
45 minutes
Yes.
I have no idea. I only dropp off and pick up
Yes. If you get round trip tickets, you're basically getting two one way tickets. Just don't misplace the unused ticket. You don't save money by getting a round trip ticket, so you might consider just getting a one way ticket leaving, then purchasing another one when you return to the flyway. (From LAX, you don't show a ticket to get on the bus. You show or buy a ticket when you return to the flyaway.)
No it is not it's only good for the day you are leaving
Yes, you car leave your car for up to a month, i believe
$4 per day.
Be at the airport at seven then you take the fly away at about six ..although for me I would catch the bus one and a half hours because I like to be there way before my time
It runs 24 hours, but the buses run less frequently during off-peak hours. You can check the website for hours.
At that time I would allow at least 1.5 hours for the ride to LAX.
Their info says: "Non-service animals are required to be in a suitable carrier. The carrier must fit completely under the seat in front of the customer and remain there at all times".
$4 a day - during peak travelling periods & holidays sometimes they run out of any parking. Plus, they do not take cash! Only major credit cards/debit cards with creditcard logo. If you plan to tip driver, which I advise, he/she takes cash only. Hope this helps you.
Its ranges from $4 up to $8
Yes
$4 per day
Did not park in paid lot. Was picking up bus passenger
You should have 3 to 4 hours to get to LAX Airport Van Nuys airport
9.75 one way
Terry is correct...Yes... flyaway is a service that uses a Big Bus that could take you to the airport or pick you up from the airport....they are located in different areas of the city of Los Angeles.... now from there you will need transportation to take you to the location you need to go...
Yes... flyway probably works 24/7.... especially on holidays since their business is to take people to the airport.... that's all they do...
The parking lot for flyway in Van Nuys is large, it will be very hard to park in the wrong area....if you are going to stay out of the city for many days then you might be better off taken one of those companies that pick you up.....
No cash period.. they will tell you that if u don't have a credit card or debit card to ask someone on the bus to pay for yours and u pay them money Lol..u can also have someone pay for it and email u the ticket u can print it out or use your phone
There is long time parking at Flyaway.
Im sure its okay but id double check with flyaway
Yes there is a schedule ..one way ticket for adults is 9.75 and yes you will have to pay either with a debit or cc no cash taken
I try to allow myself one hour, Van Nuys to LAX, but the trip rarely takes that long.
Runs on the hour like 12, 1, 2, 3 AM. Then half hour till 6am. Then every 15 min
Yes and Uber
Depends on the time of day. Every 15 minutes starting at 4AM until about 6PM and then its every 30 minutes. Check the website for m9re detailed fare times.
Don't know. But as you board the bus, you'll need to tell at least one staffer which airline you're flying, and you shld be able to learn tje terminal for Spirit that way.
Busses leave Van Nuys Flyaway for LAX every half hour (e.g., 10, 10:30, 11, 11:30, and so on, throughout the day, except during the wee hours.
Was pretty clear and free of construction on Friday night, but there's usually traffic around the 10 freeway to the airport
Eliz, this Flyaway shuttle does not serve Burbank. Assuming that your starting point is BUR, take Metrolink to Los Angeles Union Station and from there take a Flyaway bus to LAX. If you need more info, please ask here.
Sorry, Mary, but Van Nuys Flyaway doesn't in any sense serve thise two places. If you want to travel to or from LAX / Van Nuys, you have to catch the Flyaway bus at LAX for Van Nuys OR the Flyaway bus at the Van Nuys Flyaway bus terminal for LAX. What specifically do you need to learn?
U can always ask for directions with the traffic officers when you are out of the international terminal. They will suely direct u to thr Flyaway Green Sign
FlyAway runs 24hrs a day. However the frequency changes @ midnight to once an hour until 4am then every half hour.
Yes, you're in luck, altho you may end up waiting a bit longer for that welcome bus during the wee hours of the night. ;)
The Metrolink does. It drops you 200m from the door.

You have to search "Flyaway ticket purchase" and it will bring you right to it. It's hard to find from the main site.
FlyAway is very practical, I like it a lot.
$9.50 each way. Purchase your tickets at the Flyaway depot (only place where they are available). Departures to LAX are every 30 min., on the hour and half hour, e.g., 9, 9:30, 10, 10:30, etc.
You catch the bus at LAX and pay when get off the bus at flyaway terminal 9 dlls, with credit card only.
From 5 am
The schedule can be found online on theit website. Safe to say every half hour. Make sure to line up immediately along the front wall along the blue line or you may not get a seat and will have to wait till the next bus.
Only with credit cards
It is usually very punctual, there must be complications in traffic
24 hours a day
Yes, it runs 24/7. At non-peak times it runs on hour intervals, at peak times it runs every 30 mins.
I would honestly be there by 3:15 to leave by 3:30. Should never take an hour to get there at that hour.
Pay full price or beg the bosses for a break. That's the way most lost tickets work.
Yes, in order to get to LAX you have to take the 405
Hahaha yeahhhhh well, i was in LAX airport a few weeks ago, so i had to figured out how it could be, just go out any Door in the first level floor, there is Green signals saying flyaway buses, just step there and wait for a flyaway bus with a vanuys advice in the screen, it Will stop there and pickup you, you pay your ticket with a Credit card when arrived to vanuys terminal and thats it! Hope it helps... And sorry for my english is not good enough 😥
It all depends on the day and time of ur travel
If debit or credit card and cash and a bus leaves every half hour
Yes Google can help you
Four dollars per 24 hour period. So 8...
