They made me sign some documents of when I was there and when I was leaving.
Go to the parking attendant and show them your terminal ticket they might accept that as proof

I hope that the attendant didn't charge you the maximum amount. Hopefully you used a bankcard for proof. Other than that, I really love using the Van Nuys Fly away Bus Terminal...
