Taking Uber is the best and faster than taking the FlyAway bus - a 45 minutes savings on average. Using your family member may not be worth it since it will be a round trip from your family member. If the time is not an issue, taking a Flyways is the best. Note: My recent FlyAway bus experience shows I had to spend 35 to 45 minutes at the FlyAway lobby and the bus area - wait for the gate towards the bus area open; then spent another 20 minutes to see all luggages to be loaded; 3) wait for all passengers boarding on the bus etc.

My understanding with the Flyaway is that nothing has changed. They still drop-off at your terminal. I would use the Flyaway vs. a family member... easier, less stress for your family member and you can relax while the driver gets u there. Safe travels😊
You will be better off taking FlyAway. They are familiar with all the changes. Drop off did not change, only pick ups. However, due to construction, LAX is a mess. By all means, take the bus.
