We had to wait a long time at the front desk before being helped. The paperwork for adoption was very easy and the staff was pleasant.

"No holds. First come first served"...except when they do hold an animal and don't tell anyone and when you call the city the animal is still available and when you look at the website, the animal is still available, then you drive out to east bumble, and you can't get it. They were holding a dog for a rescue even though I was there ready to adopt the same dog.

Great staff very friendly. We adopted 3 rabbits from here and it was a fast process. The workers seem to care for the animals and have genuine love for them and their customers.

I made an appointment for today 03/11/22 at 1:45pm, drove all the way there only to be told that the only small dog is not available. It clearly says he’s available on the picture beginning 03/11/22. This is so frustrating! Quit wasting people’s time.

Yes , they have horrible customer service
I agree with the comment . fortunately we're not there to adopt the receptionist. Lol
Sometimes they don't get to all the calls, because they are so busy. I find it easier to just go there myself
My experience was not bad, they fix my dog and after a infection they took care of it paying for a private clinic
Sad to hear about your experience. Its always terrible to go here. Very sad situation unless you are rescuing a dog. Thats the only good thing about this place.
I just visited the mobile spay and neuter clinic they are great their staff is different than the shelters but did visit the animals at the shelter they were clean and they they are remodeling
If you take in a litter that is still breastfeeding, they'll almost certainly put them to sleep, unless someone fosters them, which isn't likely the case. So when you find kittens from a stray, if they look healthy, LEAVE THEM WITH THEIR MOTHER!
There's no excuse for rudeness or not being helpful. I would say however, I've had great help there by many hard-working officials. They've had to do more with less as county cutbacks reduced their resources. As far as the phone system, it is not used friendly. I prefer the website.
Sorry about that. God bless you
Sorry about that... But Animals needs help
You need to go in person... They are awful about phone calls.
Yes
Don't let them take the cats. It's a death sentence.
Birds no sorry they do not have birds .sorry

They've been known to kill off a lot of their animals especially cats
Yes n there's A.S.P.C I think thats how u spell it.. They do it FREE.. They also help if ur pet needs surgery n u can't pay all of it.. Their a lifesaver
A shelter will have vaccine pricing that you can't get anywhere else, however, it will also be a place visited by more people than they can logisticaly handle. So U have to keep in mind. If you want quick-service a local vet would probably be a better option. But more expensive.
ASPCA is stationed outside of the office talk to them. They'll do anything for a dog to not go to the pound. This shelter has a ton of great dogs it's just too bad the process to get a dog is ridiculous there. Took me 2 hours to try and get a dog I finally found was available cuz most of the dogs there are not. Then because they don't fix them yet I had to come back the next day for her to be fixed and wait another two and a half hours to pick her up. Tons of people walk away in the line because they call out the number you pick and tons of the people have already left. Those are all potential animals that will be put down due to their bad management. It's very unfortunate
I would email them directly or the administrator in charge. You can find the email link on website. animalcare.lacounty.gov
Sometimes! I saw 3 puppies last time I was there, but they mostly have adult dogs.
Wish I could, have 3 rescued dogs as it is!
Hi there! So from what I know Baldwin Park doesn't take appointments for spay and neuter if it's for your personal pet. They usually only spay/neuter the animals that are already in their care. However there is the ASPCA mobile spay/neuter clinic there at the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center which do spay and neuter for general public but it's first come first serve. Typically they start accepting people from the line at 7am I think? There Is a flyer with more info about it inside the Baldwin Park Care Center front lobby. Hope that helped!
Yes $15.00
Please rescue her if u can!!
Yes. Times vary and limited amount of pets during clinic, cheapest price anywhere. Usually packed with folks waiting.
Shelter is mostly dogs & cats. Check with humane society or other small criter rescues.
Some cities have additional extra requirements, such as proof of microchip. Best to check with your city council.
Baldwin Park Shelter is a Kill Shelter so if he's not adopted, he'll be killed. Can you take him to a No Kill shelter like Pasadena Humane Society and SPCA at 361 S Raymonde Ave, Pasadena, CA 91105
They should have some one available specifically to answer the phone or answer questions in person. It took me over an hour to get an answer... It's very frustrating.
It is best to go down to the shelter to identify your dog. You’ll also need to bring proof that the dog is yours - pictures, videos, vaccine records, or microchip information. Sometimes dog’s look similar in pictures, so going to the shelter to make sure it really is yours is important.
You would have to call them or take her in so they can check her for a chip. If she has a chip they will have to contact the owner, if there is no chip you have to pay some fees for adoption, licensing and shots at the least.
Best to keep small animals indoors when it is dark. If they go outside for a potty break while it’s dark, make sure you go with them to supervise and that they are leashed incase you need to pull them back inside. We live in and have invaded the territories of wolves, while diminishing their habitat and areas to look for food. They are just doing what comes naturally to survive.
Baldwin Park and all of the L.A. County shelters have partners all over the western U.S. including Washington. Unfortunately there are far more animals that come into the shelter than can be relocated. That is mostly due to irresistible owners who do not spay/neuter their pets.
That's is SO WIERD because I've been there 3 times in last two weeks and saw 2 different people taking in baby kittens. Probably because they're so full they figured that it was a street cat so it would learn to survive like all the other Street Cats do. What you could have done if you didn't want to put it back was ticket to a local pet store and give it away to any customer that was walking in. I've done that several times there are account lovers that we'll see a kitten and take it home
yes they accept rabbits
my cat plenty aware of coyotes and escape routes I hase them and have had several incounters my srlf gave save a few of my cats from the mouths a whistel one time and the whole pac another time Very Perrsistant very determaend not to leave area..but So am I . STILL LOOKING HOPEING FOR My Sweet Shadow.
City animal control
IM NOT SURE,BUT THINK SO
There is a minimal fee for microchip. Well worth it.
Yes
They have on site services but call or visit website for days and time
I think its 200$ for pet abandonment. And they have to have their shots. No fee for a stray but has to be sick
No if your pet is injured you would have to surrender them to the shelter and they do not do veterinary services on site. If you have a pet with medical needs the best bet is to find a rescue who can take them in or bring directly to a vet.
Yes
Good question...i didn't ask
You would have to give them a call first
I just went last week and yes you do need an appointment.
You only make appointments for adoption. All fees are paid online
I know they do if you adopt the dog from them, but I'm not sure if they also run a clinic. Sorry
No only the shelter animal, not for public
They will take cats. But only about 40% get homes
Idk exactly
Most vets don't for free in the lobby.
No
No the shelter a kill shelter . This an almost every shelter in California kill animals. The term no kill is used to deceive the public. Some shelters are far worse than others. When a shelter folks up any make in it already are killed to make room for the ones people keep dropping off it does Not matter if an an animal is a year old or 10 yrs health it will die if there out of space.sooner if it is injured or has medical issues. A rescue is usual non profit organization that helps animals who would normally be killed in a shelter due to age my medica issues abuse or behavior issues. Some are breed specific, some rescues seniors, most will help any breed dog if they have a foster home and donations to help cover some expensive. Rescues do not kill unless medically necessary to stop pain & suffering of an animal . The comment below is incorrect Shelters kill strays , pets surrenders by owners at high rates. The adverage shelter in California kills 9 out of 10 cats or dogs in them
she straight away from my daughter on the 30th of November and I looked for her until 3 in the morning and I called on the 1st and I told them cuz they're near me and they kept sending me to inland valley since she straight in West Covina they had her the whole time someone from find Shadow send me a picture of my blue on Instagram and they and it was her and they had put her up for adoption when I called they said they had already adopted her and I told them I was there I was looking where you guys told me you didn't have her when they had her the whole time so when I have the number and I spoke to the lieutenant he just kind of mocked me and laughed and he said I can't prove that it was my dog I told him that I have pictures that's my dog I'm sure that if you talk to the people who adopted would understand the situation since they're the ones who misguided me where to go and they had her the whole time but now I have proof of that and who do I talk to I've been dealing with this for
You need to contact the shelter so they can register your pet for surgery.
From my understanding every dog that is received MUST get vaccinated. A microchip does not list current vaccinations....But i don't work there so don't be barking at me lol 😂
I called Baldwin Park humane and rescue in May to put my 12 year old dog down. They sent officer Fierro to pick our dog up. Our dog couldn't walk and was in pain he needed another officer Gutierrez to come help him as our dog was about 100 lbs. And hard to lift up. They were so gentle and careful my dog didn't cry When moved and taken. Call them they are at 4275 Elton d. Baldwin Park. Off Ramona st.They do charge a $50.00 fee. But I'm so happy in how concerned and caring they were. So sorry you are having to go through this emotional sad time 😢💔
Call animal control and file a complaint if you can't work it out with your neighbor.
Call
Fees are probable low maybe they have senior discount
Take it to the Baldwin Park shelter, they do the procedures there. They have information on some free services also.
Should check on a daily basis, as some dogs are adopted fast. Or call them and save on time/ gas.
I apologize for the experience you had with Officer Figueroa. What did you have a question about, maybe I can help. I'm the rescue coordinator for the Baldwin Park Care Center, I work Monday through Friday. Hope I can help, Rachael Acereto
$135 for wveryrhing including spaying. Of coursw some dogs are spayed and neutured already so you won't have to pay again to get it done.
Contact WalkmeHome Rescue. They will help you. What kind od dog is she? We are looking for another pet. It is a kill shelter.
Call them.
Yes you can if they have everything up to date. Like their shots and all of that. And if they're of age to go home and nothing is wrong, physically. You'll just fill out of the required forms and information.
Go there and get them, call them, can get license, rabbis shots.
Call Baldwin Park Animal Shelter. Dog Pound, noise control by the Police.
Depends, if the dog is actually dying probably nothing
I only speak english
Sixteen. Years old. Fill out an application At Baldwin Park shelter and schedule for a one day orientation .
Not sure but give them a call and they can tell u all the days.
Well good luck finding him and i agree with Greg if his chiipped then yes they would call u or take a visit to the dog pound and see if they pick him up
Yes register . Make dure the smimals shot records are current. If not you can ask about shots there. You could also adopt anotherone so your dogs got a friend!
Check the website!
They spay and neuter all 3 of my pets for free it's good to have an appointment
Fees can differ.sometimes theirs a special.meaning . you can pay as low as $20. $50. Or highest 120. Just give the pet a good home , living conditions and you will have a friend for its lifetime.
Yes. They accept the puppies (big or small) that people can not care more
Licensed?
you need to call and ask
What kind of question you ask they treat the animals humanly of course injured or sick pets that have no hope are put down humanly the shelter hopes that all their animals find a home.
In Los Angeles county it is usually $60 per year minus vaccination. Check their website if they have a different fee schedule at the facility.
Yes.
This is a HIGH KILL SHELTER. Do NOT take any animal here that you cannot keep. Look up a NO KILL shelter and take them there. Plus everything I've read so far indicates they have a very rude staff that make it hard for people to adopt.
The animal shelter has a website to find or view your lost pet (before someone adopts him/her) in several locations. I found my lost chihuahua but it was one day late and someone adopted him right away.
Go to the nearest vet.. I went to one near a church on temple.. Its accross a gas station but before big lots,, i forgot the street..there is a long wait,, but its just what i think..hope ur chewawa feels better... Google and search for one.... Hope that helps
I would call them and ask what your options are. Maybe even call the other Peta and humane societys to see if they recommend a program to you.
Best bet is find animal hospital near you if emergency. Otherwise you may go to animal shelter ask for help.
because that place is a mess, for example; I'm there to pay my dog license and someone shows up for some turtles, "hi, I'm here to see if you have any turtles available", "yes, they may be taken, let me check, no, they haven't been picked up, you can have all four if you like" that's the way it is
10 dollar there is a organization at front to help before you put him to sleep and help u pay some money to clinic for 2nd opinion
Sorry, I don't know. I hate to say this but when you call it's a hit or miss if you get a person AND if they will be courteous. But ALL of L.A. county shelters have the same intake standard. Or check their web site. But if I were you I would drop them off and say you found them..
You probably need to take it there and check if they will accept.
You can surrender your dog there at the shelter for a nominal fee. Don't know what the fee cost.
Find a shelter that don't put down they have one in Upland off Arrow Highway that's what I suggest because you take it to the bottom part and most likely they'll just laying down but give him a chance
No. Sassy and Daisey
Yes they have and area to interact with the animal you are interested
They lost our dogs records. And said we must pay again.? But thay could see he was nuterd. Sorry place. Very sad for the animals.
How long ago were you given the credit? Did you get a recipt?
Yes it's true, and if u adopt a dog or cat u can get a $475 coupon book from Pets Mart/Petco, which includes coupons to free food and accessories. All you need is to show proof from the shelter that u adopted an animal and theY WILL grant you the book
yes, and keep in mind Baldwin Park animal shelter is a kill shelter. You might want to consider taking the dog to a no-kill facility like the Pasadena SPCA Humane Society.
Yes
Baldwin Park is a very high kill shelter ... You might want to take her to a no-kill shelter like Pasadena SPCA and Humane Society 361 S Raymonde Ave, Pasadena 91105
Make the call
One comes every week (Friday) to the El Monte Valley Mall, but you need to make an appointment in advance ...
I know they have rabbits there, but not if they fix them. You need to go online and check or call them.
An ID and that's it
They would be brought in to the shelter that services the city they would found in. So yes, if they didn’t get far; but no if they ran through cities. It would be best to check several shelters in your area. Physically going into the shelter and looking through the kennels to see if the dogs are there. I hope they were wearing collars with your information on them - that way someone would be able to contact you if they were found. Or if they had a microchip - I would also call the company, male sure all your info is up to date, and let them know so they can “flag” your pet as missing.
No. The animal shelter won't take care of your dog while you're away. Do a Google search for ... canine or dog boarding. Maybe you can ask one of your friends or even your teacher to take care of him while you're gone?
this chikito I'll keep it
If you live close go in it would be faster than calling since they are usually very busy.
Look for spay and neuter vouchers in your city or county.
You have to call animal control for situations like this
No. U need to call first so u can know the day for vaccines
any time if they have it.
If I have been feeding a stray cat for several months can a disabled veteran get this cat shots for free
Yes they do accept stray cats very friendly staff
