I love this place🥰🥰🥰 I found two beautiful dogs. Tony was amazing helping us and so patient. Tony gave us a walk and he knows all about the dogs they have in the place. Also when you adopt a dog the price you pay is not that much for all the things they do to give you ready your new family members🐶🐶 I just want to say thank you to the Pasco Animal Services team because you can see all the great work they do taking care of the animals.👌
Carla Rindge
So happy to find this place. It's more affordable than regular vet for pet vaccines. They also have senior and regular wellness checks to keep an eye on overall health.
Tami Pigeon
Excellent service. Place was clean, staffwere professional and compassionate. A staff member named Rob had excellant communication, compassionate and understanding. He made our hearts at ease. Thank you again for your kind service.
Christopher McCarron
They did very well taking care of my boy for a 10 day quarantine. Just remember you can't pick your dog up on the last day of the quarantine you have to go the day after it ends it's. Wasted an hour driving there but still they treated my boy good so they deserve 5 stars.
Thanks! Your review is awaiting moderation.
Yes they, like the vet, humanely euthanize your pet if thats the only option for them. They are very professional and care a great deal for the pet and the grieving owner
Doris is correct. I've gotten two cats there for $5 each and 2 dogs during their adoption specials for $25 each. Take a deep breath there.
I'm fully aware that the comments pertaining to this particular post were submitted/talked about, almost a year ago..all I'd like to say is, I've read & reread the ? Lori Lindsey asked as well as, the responses & at NO point whatsoever had she EVER mentioned ANYTHING remotely close to her planning to 'drop the cats off in the middle of the night', + she clearly stated she saved the ALREADY pregnant cat, think about it...*ding*, it wasn't her cat 2 'fix'! So I'm confused as to why y'all went at her as if she had? I mean, did I miss something maybe..nope! Lori asked a great ??, 1 that many wouldnt even think of asking, much less worry about. She was obviously concerned about the cats' well being & for you all to automatically assume the worse for NO REASON at all, is absolutely shameful! This is a COMMUNITY FORUM, ie.,. it allows us the chance to ask other's for advice and/or information on something we're just not too sure about, not to be judged nor talked down to! Wow..RIDICULOUS!!
Yes it does, you have to leave them a check for $75 dollars that they hold onto until you bring the trap back. They accept T.N.R. (trap ,nueter, release) cats sunday mornings and then you pick up the cat on monday. . A pregnant feral will have the litter aborted. Im not sure how it works if you surrendered it instead of tnr program, im sure outcome is same. That may seem very cruel, i thought so at first. After working with a feral colony now for a year and burying kittens and watching them suffering life as a feral because I "felt bad" for bringing a pregnant cat in.To this day im still collecting that cats grand and great grandkitties! I never was able to catch the ones that survived before they started a new generation of ferals. *Sorry off my soapbox now Just to spread the word Pasco is having a parvo outbreak.so dont let any strays around your furbabies or let them come in contact with stray cat 💩 . If any questions please call the girls at animal services their very recourceful
Call code enforcement. It helps to ha e photographic evidence
You get a catch cage and do it your self, if you are a good human. We have done it here in our neighborhood, very rewarding! Catch, neuter, and release program! Check it out, and always catch the kittens if you can, and bring them in for homing.
Yes
Absolutely they have cats and kittens! They will be open on Tuesday but please call to check out the new temporary hours!
Yes the shots are included in every adoption but after one shot you have to pay for it at the vet
They offer a TNR (trap, nueter or spay, return) program and it is $10 a cat. Bring the cat in a live trap and they will fix them and next day you pick up and release feral cat back into population. I would call first, because the only time they accepted and kept any strays I brought in were kittens that cannot fend for self. I am almost certain they do not accept feral cats strictly because they are feral and a nuisance. I have been bringing in feral cats almost every weekend over last 4 months and this has been only assistance for our parks large feral colony as far as they were concerned. If they a a danger (biting, scratching and hurting people or animals) they will step in and help as well but that means an almost certain death for cat. In any case just give them a call they are very friendly and helpful.
Once you get the dogs shots and putting the rabies shots you can get the license through the person you got the shots at
Dogs are $75, they run frequent specials if you follow their Facebook page.
I'm not sure about PCAS but Carters Canine rescues could use those donations. We're on hwy 41 7 miles north of PCAS. At 10141 land o lakes Blvd. We have 15 rescues and always need donations.
They might have been busy with animals. Maybe try emailing? Https://www.pascocountyfl.net/408/animal-services
We do have staff that are spanish speaking. We look forward to working with you.
I'm not sure what you are asking about. Here is their number (727)834-3216
I would call first
No, free pets unless they are running a special. Sometimes they do, check website.
They can give a warning
Im not sure, but i dont see why they wouldnt. You can call and ask.
Absolutely!!!! Call animal control immediately, take video or pics for documentation. I would call sheriff also!!!
I believe they will take them. Give them a call
Any vet should be able to scan him for a chip to get the info.
Best to check with them, animals don't stay here long though.
Please see this page for tips on locating the owner of a lost dog: pascocountyfl.net/4625/Lost-and-Found-Pets. If you've found a stray dog that is sick or injured, please give us a call at 813-929-1212 (regular hours) or 727-847-8102 (after hours emergencies only).
No, this would go through a private trapper or Wildlife and Fisheries.
Yes we absolutely need volunteer dog walkers, especially during the week. Sign up on the website and they'll set you up with a trainer to get you started. I'm Danny and I love to train new volunteers and we could definitely use the help.
No ma'am...not that I know of...

I don't know about the SPCA I didn't go there maybe I made a mistake I went to paw Wash
Please give us a call at 813-929-1212 or visit https://www.pascocountyfl.net/3453/How-to-Get-a-Pet-License.
Please reach out to one of our rescue partners: https://www.pascocountyfl.net/3424/Rescue-Partners
It sounds like this would count as abandonment. Please give us a call at 813-929-1212 and our staff can assist. Thanks!
We don't have a traditional foster program, but please check with our rescue partners: https://www.pascocountyfl.net/3424/Rescue-Partners. They can only pull from our shelter with committed fosters.
Did you call them and ask.. Better to have a verbal on this request.. Im not sure they cam do that.. As for. Experience one has to do ones self and take them in for TNR.. Unless you are going to take them inside.. Furever home.. Other suggest start hand feed tasty treats on you screen porch if you have shut door and go from there.. To do Tnr you have to have traps for each cat.. N I take my ferals to PAWS.. Fyi
Don't have any of that information please call them on Wednesday
You will have to call or call the animal shelter in land o lakes
a
Hi Dennis, Pasco County does not have a leash law for cats, so they are allowed to roam free. We don’t pick up stray cats unless they are sick or injured, declawed, too young or old to fend for themselves, or have bitten or scratched someone. Even if they are young kittens, we urge you to leave them where they are so their mother can care for them. We do have a TNVR (Trap, Neuter, Vaccinate and Return) program for feral cats, but we are currently focusing our efforts on some large ongoing projects. I can’t guarantee we would be able to help you, but we do have information here: https://www.pascocountyfl.net/2716/TNVR Here’s our page on our Leave Them Be initiative: https://www.pascocountyfl.net/3512/Leave-Them-Be-Community-Cat-Program. At the bottom of the page is a link to a list of humane deterrents for cats. I hope this helps! Please let us know if you have any other questions.
You can call and ask
Yes you can bring a cat. Go to the website and you can make an appointment there. They are wonderful and very inexpensive.
I don't work there, but if you mean for vaccinations, tags, microchips, or other basic pet veterinary services, then yes they do accept cats.
Yes
Please give us a call and we may be able to help you with resources to keep your dogs. If you absolutely can't keep them, we ask that you try to rehome them on your own or contact one of the local nonprofit shelters or rescue groups. Right now we are devoting our resources toward stray, sick and injured pets.
We do have a dropoff box for donations outside Building B (Administration Building), and this is available 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
What do you mean take?
I believe so, I saw some people bring 50lb bags of dog food in, call them first
Hi Deborah, we do have a trap, neuter, vaccinate and return (TNVR) program. The cost is $10 per cat, and we provide traps for $75. Pasco County does not have a leash law for cats, so the shelter does not accept healthy stray cats. However, if the scratch broke the skin, please report it asap by calling us at 813-929-1212. You can also ask about our TNVR program when you call.
I believe you can...
Yes you can. Just call make a appt
Yes, but you won't have to wait long.
Yes they do. I saw a box of kittens getting checked in
Call them first to make sure they have room. They should be able to take them though or know someone who can.
I'm sure there are. You will need all your documentation for proof. I would call and ask. Good luck
Go to Pasco county animal rescue and request a low cost spay and neuter form they will send it to you and a list of vets that will take it fill out and if approved it's 10.00 per animal and they will take multiple animals
https://www.pascocountyfl.net/2717/Low-Income-Spay-Neuter
I would assume so but I would call to be sure.
You need to call and ask. I know the blankets are great but not sure about the pillows
You have to pay for it to be chipped if it is not chipped yet.
I would call and ask what they would recommend because we need to save our Panthers. Good luck
I know a vet's office can but it's usually done in the first 3 days of life unless it's a medical procedure/condition.
I would call to check.
You need to take the animal back.
If you pass the screening and pay the fees, you can keep her or later bring her back if it doesn't work out or you can find another home for her.
Maybe calling them would help answer that question.
Call them, I have a nice black male cat, he is fixed, he is litter box trained .we fix all cats that are dropped off They are fixed by paws.
They do not take owner surrender, only strays. Owner surrender is only to put dog down. Find a rescue or call around shelters to see who can. Try SPCA in largo
Call animal control
Please call them, explaining your situation. Other suggestion is to call vet who did spay and explain what happened
You can complete your community service at the shelter. For more information visit https://www.pascocountyfl.net/2836/Community-Service or call us at 813-929-1212.
I guess you can start there they will guide you. However, I believe that falls under animal control. An ACO will be dispatched to investigate
Yes Pasco County Animal Services is fantastic to work with and will allow you to bring your dog. Speak to the front desk and they can arrange space for the meet/greet.
Its a place to adopt or give up not a vet ..your better off looking up vets
$60 dollars if you want them to dispose of the body. We just had to put our 17 year old cat down. We had him since he was 2 months old
Call animal control and ask them.
Call animal control
Yes, although you will only be able to work Saturday until you build enough Volunteer hours to work Sunday.
If you have her confined in a large dog crate, call animal control in the morning. They should be able to come pick her up. Your best bet is to call Land O Lakes in the AM. Other options would be an emergency vet for tonight explain you just found her to see if they will take her. Good Luck and Thanks for helping her.
Try to call them or go to the website and see if they have any you want good luck with finding your now part of your family members🐾👣☺️😃🙃😄
They mite ?
Pasco is a no kill shelter and does not put Pits down just because they are stray. I walk dogs there and most of the population are pit mix.
It's not that they don't care, it's easier to tell you the truth. It's a kill shelter.

What? So they consider themselves a no kill shelter and instead of killing cats there, they have another shelter do it?
Call the actual shelter on dog patch Lane in Land O Lakes. Ask for animal control. Closed Sun and Mon.
No. I took two cats there and they would not let me go back with them. I don't know if this would apply to dogs.
Omg....funny question......lol. I don't believe so. Don't stress you want ur pup to wear bells so be it...not like its a shock collar which is inhumane...but they allow those. Do what you feel is necessary and do it it in love for your fur babies....
If not you can foster to adopt. Fostering the animal until they can be adopted we fostered for 2 months until our baby was ready to go, she had surgery and was waiting to heal before she could be spayed
You can call but they may ask you too bring it in.. Or try contacting the spca in New port richey or humane society of Pasco off Hayes rd..
Look up Happy Tailz Cat Rescue×
Please bring it to the animal shelter for ano cost turn in.
Call the pound out and explain what going on
Just call them & set up an appointment
Yes
It can cost up to 25.00. if this is your first time surrendering they may not charge but u need to call. They r not open on Mondays. U will need to hold the dog till Tuesday if u can or try to find a home yourself. If u want to avoid the cost go out to hilsbough s web site and they partner with Petco to help u find a new owner. It is a contract u and the new owner signs
From what I was told they have a 96% rate for rehoming they do not euthanize unless they have no choice
16 years old. My daughter wanted to volunteer also but is only 13years old.
Pasco does trap, spay, release, for $10. Each. Drop off on Sunday. Read rules on their site. Contacting vets.. fee is about $55.00. Not sure if this shelter willdo that.
There are services that will come to your home and a friend of mine said it was fairly reasonable. Almost like hospice for pets
If they were brought in today they will not be up on the adoption site yet. That takes several days. They will check to see if your pet has a chip. They've closed on Sunday and Monday so nothing will be done until at the earliest Tuesday. That would be the day to go there and check. Make sure u ask about the new hours of operation so that u know when they will be closing as they have changed.
Personally, that's a tough one!!! If you take family, friends, and/or neighbors to say that the dog is yours, it really doesn't have much weight to prove anything. Anybody can say YES! 1)Do you have family, friends, and/or neighbors that have photos (past and present) to verify ownership on your behalf? 2) if there's a money situation then Can anyone purchase the dog for you? We have had and have a dog at this time. That dog IS a family member! If my dog was in the shelter/kennel and I knew it was there but didn't have much proof ownership, I would would ask my support circle (family, friends, neighbors, co-workers, church congregation, etc.) to assist me in this situation. Please make every effort to get your dog back. Talk to head of the Animal Services about putting a hold on the dog so no one could adopt it. Make this effort worth your 2019!!!!! I really wish you the best in this endeavor!
They post all of their pets on Petango and finding rover. I believe they keep them for 72 hours before they are available to adopt
You can list them on a website for rehoming for free...www.rescueme.org
No. This is NOT a NO kill shelter. Please do your research before you answer these questions!!! I run a rescue and rescue dogs from this shelter.
Check this place as well petluv in Brooksville.
https://www.chinchillarescue.org/links-rescue.html
I would believe so. But would call to find out. They might need to know if he is aggressive or very nice.
Not sure u need to call about that one.
U can bring her to the shelter if u cznt find a home for her. I think they may charge a nominal fee to surrender her. I can tell u as a puppy she will get adopted quickly. They may take her anyway as she is a puppy. Callvand ask them. They will be open tomorrow.
U need to call the shelter for that information. Give them the dogs name and if u know it the intake date. They should be able to help u.
What kind of dog do you have - i can post on facebook - 9419613733 text me pic see if we can find it a home
You would to call. Have the Id number of the dog.
@Laurie Ann Gebhart what kind of dog do you want? If youre on facebook check out jimmys angels rescue. There are some dogs available there as well.
Yes all residents of Pasco only pay 50.00 .I had it do a few month's ago to my dog.
Keep it. Lost its mother now u want 2 abandon.
Here is the their #: (727)834-3216, Land O Lakes. Please call and get prices
Countless Cats, Tampa Bay Cat Alliance....
I believe animal services will provide you with a trap cage and then require a call to come pick up and remove. I could be wrong. But I did that exact thing years ago with a raccoon.
They don't run the $5 adoptions on Fridays any more. They have a new director and he changed things up a little bit. still, their fees are quite reasonable considering what it costs to spay or neuter an animal plus all their shots, the de-fleaing, and the deworming. It's a lot cheaper than paying for it at the vet's office.
No
No but they will provide a trap to catch them for a $75 deposit which will be returned when you bring it back.
Planned Pethood if your in Pasco they are a non profit as well
Get all the information about the dog like you did when you first got the tag and then go
I just had my dog put down a few months ago. He was a biter so they made me wait 10 days so it coast me 50 Dollars. So if your dog is sick I think it's about 25. But the best thing to do is call them to make sure.
Sure why not. I am sure they want people to see and notice all the animals that need to be adopted.
I dont understand what the real question is here? Clarification?
I'm pretty you could probably get your hours at the Animal Shelter. There's gotta be lot's of work there. But Try to call the local food/Community Services that many churches have. They always use a helping hand too. So if you need to accomplish the 50 hours, you must be ready to work at least 8 hrs. for 6 days; and still you have 2 hrs. more. Call the office that assigned the hours to you and ask if they have a list of agencies, churches, etc. This is your opportunity to step up and do these hours. Be responsible!!! You'll be OK!!!!
Yes but I know they're overloaded with cats right now.
I did called and no answer, my neighbor called as well and they told her that she has to wait 24 hours????? I don't understand
Call them
Call the Pasco County Animal Control about the issue. You could find the information on the County webpage.
Please people why get animals that we can't take care of them don't buy them plain and simple why make an animal suffer because of your ignorance
Is this a real question? If so you really need to either call or go down there.
Around $75
This shelter is a no kill shelter. If he has a chip they can find owner quickly.
If the cat is friendly and sociable they will put it up for adoption. Pasco is a strive for life shelter, which means they try and get 90% adoption. There are issues like aggressive and bitting that are the 10% that maybe put down. No county run shelter is a "NO-KILL" shelter in the state of Florida. The humane society is.
Fla Game and Fish Commison
Yea go down there
Probably not, sure you don't want to keep her? Low prices
Yes
Well, one of their dogs has already bitten me, I'm disabled and have difficulty getting under my trailer (the damage is mostly been done to my ac ducts. I think I'll call & have them come out, should I call the Lo'L or is there one closer to Old Pasco Rd. & Hwy 54?
I don't believe so. A vet would be needed to cremate, or you can perform the burial yourself. Hope all goes well.
Drop them off at a shelter
Call the animal control officer for complaints.. you can call the sheriffs dept as well.
CALL SPAY PASCO AND THEY WILL ADVISE WHETE TO GO, ESPECIALLY IF YOU TELL THEM YOU CAUGHT THEM AND THEY ARE FERILE CATS🍀THE CHARGES SHOULD ONLY BE 10.00/ CAT
Yeah as long as it's not your dog and your sick of it and just wanting to get rid of it
No idea. We have the same issue. I just gave up and pick up the poop. You may want to call animal services directly.
Depends on if neighbor is deed restricted and the restrictions allow for recourse against their animals causing nuisance. If not contract pest control company and have them put flea barrier along neighbor's line
Best thing to do us call them.
$ 195 for puppies under 4 months and $95 for others above 4 months.
Pasco County Animal Control does get puppies but they do go quickly. I was there two weeks ago and was very fortunate to get a puppy that had been there about 2 hours. However they do have A LOT of other 1-2 year old dogs that are available.
They don't sever animal ears for tagging. Almost none is taken, since you cant put a tag through 40% of an ear.
Call animal services
No, hafta catch then drop. Sometimes they'll come by, not very helpful
I'm fostering 4 kittens..they won't be ready for at least a month..it's a slow time for kittens..usually around April is another breeding season
They charge a refundable capture cage fee
Take them to PAWS in 19 in Hudson..put the animal in a trap and tell them they are running around your neighborhood..they will fix them cheap..they will tag a small hole in the ear and return them back to you in the trap
Call animal control services for your local area
Call the dog catcher
Yes you can also check out rescues on line maybe able to help
Yes they take owner surrenders
Animal shelter
Yep..call animal control
I would take it back and make sure they know everything so they can place it in the right home
They have services to remove unwanted wildlife.
The most I have seen is 70-80 that is usually for a kittens, pup pies or small dogs. They almost always have a discount going for medium to larger dogs. December is half of dogs and cats.
Yes but you will have to buy the proper county tag
Call them
Animal shelter
Usually young and or small is fool price around 70. Older larger alost always have a special. Dec Is half price
Sorry, just missed it Dec 9th. This month is half price
You would need to call the shelter
I belive it is after 90 days
Yes, it is a wonderful shelter. Not sure what you mean by all animals... We saw only dogs and cats being cared for in a loving respectful way.
