They do take surrenders sometimes. Depends on how full the shelter is. Could I please suggest to you that you try to find her a home on the Facebook rehoming groups. I run in the LOST & FOUND PETS groups on fb and if you FOUND her a home then you would not have to be concerned about her getting put down. If you need some help just contact me.
