I have seen Dr. Attaluri for several years…I like him but the office staff is the worst. The last 2 times I have called, I did not hear back for about 48 hours. Today is Friday, August 26, 2022…I called about a concern last Monday, August 22nd…I HAVE NOT YET RECEIVED A CALL REGARDING MY SITUATION. I am going to look for a different Specialist as this is unacceptable.

Called to schedule a colonoscopy at 9am in the morning and had to leave a message on the scheduling voicemail. They called me back around 4 pm and was able to schedule within 2 weeks. I was scheduled with Dr. Attaluri. I haven't seen him before and the first time was in the OR. He was courteous and answered my multi questions before I was put to sleep. My wife spoke to him while I was still out and she stated he was courteous. I had no complications which was one of my biggest fear. Overall I had a great experience and will use again. Side Note: when my dr referred me to GI Specialist I instant googled and saw the low rating and was worried. Please don't be discourage by some of the older reviews. Another Note: I never went to the office to experience the cleaness of the office or phone ringing like other reviews stated.

I did not have a pleasant experience with Dr. Attaluri. Instead of asking about notes from another Dr., he came in the room immediately scolding me. I finally got an opportunity to explain that I was only getting help from nutritionist to get help with my diet, that I had not been doing any type of flushing to alter my gut bacteria. He abruptly told me my symptoms are IBS, and not an inflammatory bowel disease. He quickly told me he could refer me to another Dr. for second opinion. Honestly, I felt the way he addressed me was very harsh. It is not pleasant getting sick everyday! If the diagnosis is IBS, great, but I still need to have a GI Dr. that I can have a positive interaction with. He was just not pleasant, telling me that I don't have auto immune disease. I am working with a Rheumatologist who has prescribed Methotrexate for auto immune disease. The specific disease has not been diagnosed yet, which is why I wanted to speak to him regarding my worsening GI symptoms. I think my concerns are perfectly reasonable, and there is no need to suggest medication for my stress....that was just rude!
