I searched long and hard to find a good contractor to paint the interior of our house. I settled on Home Pro's as they were the most attentive to my 100 questions leading up to the project. Once the crew arrived, led by Oscar (who is an amazing painter/lead), they took their time prepping all surfaces and protecting all our furniture and wood floors. The painting turned out amazing and they left the house just as clean as they had found it. Great company with friendly and responsive staff. I will be using them for the rest of my painting projects moving forward.

This was a great experience! From the initial visit, all the way to the final walk-around, Edwin and his team did a great job. The repair work and painting were both awesome, and they did a great job keeping us informed. And they were fast!

Home Pros came to my home and gave me an estimate for two decks to be repaired, stained, and sealed. Also gave me an estimate for a popcorn ceiling removal in my kitchen. The estimates for both jobs were for a fair price so I had them do the work. Home Pros did an excellent job on both of my decks, and the great work continued with the popcorn ceiling removal. I am very happy with Home Pros and I will be having them do any future work that I need to have done to my home.

Today marks 3 months since this company came into my home and left me with a headache. After the owner tried to blame his estimator saying she wrote it up incorrectly, yet he still had photos to go off of, sorry not buying it!. The first ceiling repair attempt was somewhat acceptable it just lacked paint. The second attempt was an epic fail and the owner claimed it was going to be completed by his most certified painter. Well I believe my 9 year old son could have done a better job than that. When the owner stopped by to pay his workers we had a conversation and that's when he tried to convince me that the work was professional. I'll never forget he actually told me to just not look up. Wow, as if I didn't' just pay you over $1200 to experiment on my ceiling. His way of resolving the issue was to write me a check for the repairs which was a measly $395. They will offer you a discount for paying with cash but if you choose to dispute you will get what they decide to give you back which is BS. Lesson learned...PAY WITH PLASTIC!!

This response is very general and by no means meant to be a resource for you to make a decision on your particular project. Any house built prior to 1978 is assumed to have lead paint so lead safety practices have to be taken by contractors. This means additional cost for the contractor which will get passed on to the homeowner. Only way to get out of this is to have your home tested and have it come out negative. In the state of Kansas the state is the governing authority. In the state of Missouri the EPA is the governing authority. Our company is certified to work on pre-1978 homes both in Kansas and Missouri.
We offer a 2 year warranty on interior projects when we provide the paint.
For walls we typically apply 2 coats of paint whenever there is even a slight color change. If the walls are being painted the same exact color then typically 1 coat is all that's necessary.
Any home built prior to 1980 should have their popcorn ceilings tested prior to removing. I some instances popcorn texture has been know to have asbestos in it. Our company policy is that homeowner should provide us with test results prior to us starting the project.
Over many years of experience we have found that for the Kansas City area May thru the end of September are the ideal months. Prior to May we are still dealing with frost, rain, and even flowering trees. By October 1st we are dealing with cool night and warm days which leads to dew on the decks. It is best to apply stain when there's the least moisture.
Yes...we can paint cabinets that are already painted or cabinets that have existing stain on them. Besides kitchen cabinets we also paint bathroom vanities. The process is extensive and thorough in order to provide that "new cabinet" look with a new color.
Our service area covers Liberty as well as Kansas City, Blue Springs, Lee's Summit, and areas in-between.
Yes, we do work in Overland Park KS as well as the entire Johnson County area.
Our standard brand is Sherwin Williams. Even within their paint lines we use only the best rated paints that will meet our extensive warranty periods. You may pay a little more upfront, however the paint job will last longer. On some occasions we have used some of the Benjamin Moore lines.
At Home Pros we use paint formulated to be applied down to 35 degrees. This means that we can technically paint year round provided the temperature is within recommendation. Keep in mind that applying the paint only takes 1 to days maximum. The time prior to this is spent on wood rot repairs and prep.
I'm not sure you meant to ask this on my review 🤷 but if it helps, I did my own French drain system around my house. Very easy, just takes some work. Or call a landscaper or handyman.
Our standard exterior warranty is 5 years when we provide the paint.
Since we are full service home improvement company with overhead and have employees do the work we do maintain a $800 minimum value on any project we accept.
