If the cat is friendly and sociable they will put it up for adoption. Pasco is a strive for life shelter, which means they try and get 90% adoption. There are issues like aggressive and bitting that are the 10% that maybe put down. No county run shelter is a "NO-KILL" shelter in the state of Florida. The humane society is.
I had my cat put to rest after 20 yrs f $25, because I took her body to burie at my home. Although, if they take care of the animal s body it is more money I do not know how much. My cat was very old and in pain, she was not eating anymore. They, do not just kill an animal at this shelter, they care for them and try to rehome each animal they receive.
It depends on how the cat behaves and if they have any illnesses. it's kind of up in the air because it's not a no-kill shelter.
They shouldn't usually animals here get a chance to be adopted
