If not you can foster to adopt. Fostering the animal until they can be adopted we fostered for 2 months until our baby was ready to go, she had surgery and was waiting to heal before she could be spayed
I believe it's the same day as long as the animal has been cleared to go home (shots, spayed/neutered)
