The spring itself is beautiful. The staff keep the grounds nice and clean. The water is refreshing and cool. It is a nice piece of nature that I pray we don’t destroy! The people are really the problem. I took my family for the first time recently and the grounds are overcrowded which makes getting to and enjoying the spring difficult! Unfortunately, the weekend is not the best time to go. Too much partying and drinking, young people are still rude and people don’t watch their children. Parents were getting drunk and leaving children unattended. The staff or the park are not to blame for the ignorance and poor behaviors of the adults present the day I was there. Those same adults allowed their children to block the steps to launch onto the spring. I will try to go on a Tuesday the next time. I rate the park a FIVE for the view and staff. The 3 represents the experience overall. I will return and do recommend this spot for a getaway. It is affordable and could be fun for the family!

Called ahead to see how tubing works, the lady on the phone was very sweet and said the tubes are due back at 5pm. Awesome!! We drove 2.5 hours to go tubing here at Ginnie Springs. Upon our arrival, We paid our admission to the park and asked a few more questions about tubing which ended in her saying the tubes are due back at 5pm. Once we went back to pay for our tube rental they said the tubes were due back at 4pm. We were confused. Once I stated 2 different people told us 5pm another lady walked up and said the tubes are due back at 430pm. So now I’m trying to figure out which time is accurate so we don’t get charged extra for the tubes as we only came out to go tubing and were not camping. We went tubing but the whole time we were worried about the time that we didn’t get to float down the whole river. We jumped out half way through at a camp site just to get the tubes back on time. There’s no shuttle for tubers, you are expected to walk the whole park WITH your tube back to your car. It’s just very unorganized we’re going to stick with rainbow river.

The Springs are very beautiful with great access points. That's definitely what got the 5 stars. Can be a bit crowded during the summer season. Hot showers depend on your timing. 🤓 The staff kept things clean and plenty of available amenities. Overall, a great place to spend a fun weekend camping with family and friends.

Very nice campgrounds, from full service to tent sites, river tubing, kayak and canoe rentals. Good swimming. Well maintained facilities. Very good service and staff.
I will return and would recommend to others. They need to have someone run a golf cart shuttle for tubing clients upstream. That would make it five stars.
Yes you can.
Go toward Beaver landing: you will found the tubing launch station. That is the starting line if you want to enjoy all the river.
If you are in a small group, bring many small tubes and ropes. Tie all the tubes together, including one for the cooler and have a blast. Don't litter.
If in a large group, have a large tube that can carry multiple people as a center piece, plus other small tubes for everyone else around plus the cooler. Again, Don't litter.
The river water is murky, so don't bother with underwater shots. Save those for the springs where The water is cold and very clear.
The exit point for tubing is between twin springs and deer springs. You can also exit at devil's eye, devil's ear/Ginnie springs, dogwood springs, the boat ramp after dogwood springs or twin springs.
Nighttime tubing is not recommended due to lack of lighting over the river. The springs are lit all night long so feel free to walk to the springs for midnight swims.
1.Yes you can snorkel as well as free dive and have a good time.
2. You can dive in the open areas with an open water certification you will need a buddy to dive with as well. I would not recommend going into the cavern without additional experience and training.
3. The area is a hot spot for diving you should have no issue finding a class or person that can provide training.
Tip. If you can go during a weekday or off time as there will be less people as it can get really busy. Also check out where the tannin water mixes with the fresh water where the springs meet the Santa Fe river it is really neat to see the and feel the difference in temp between the two bodies of water.
Have fun
You have the option to choose a place to camping that have a energy station and water dispenser in the place that you'll decide. That's one of the best things in ginnie springs.
You have to have cave certification to dive. There are plenty of divers there on weekend. I would only cave dive with someone I trusted. The park is well maintain.
They have grills in the camp sites. They also have a store and a decent deli. They serve breakfast and lunch. The dali isn't to bad either. Tube rentals and also kyak rentals.
Primitive spots are first come basis. It's a really large place that never really fills completely up.
Also..there is showers, restrooms in different areas too. A place to fill your inflatables up with air. Deli on site :)
Weekends are slammed. So are holidays. Party zone 🤙
No pets but I truly see why. You are on the Springs tubing all day or exploring all of the amazing Springs that are around. Most people camp, sleep in hammocks, or their fifth wheels and it is as natural as nature intended it to be kept. Most everyone walks to the store, restrooms, and basically everywhere so stepping in poo would not be the ideal situation. Plus there are so many people it may be overwhelming for an animal and also dangerous if the pet turned aggressive with all the kids that would want to pet them. I know this might not sound like good reasons to the owners but they do keep this place spotless and we had to leave our baby (pet) with other family members so we could go. I promise it is worth every minute of adventure even if you can't take them.
Hi I would like to know if I can go there on January and swin on the river? I live in Maryland and I'm happy to go around I would like to go there and have fun with my wife

Of course you'll be able to swim in the river an all of the springs there as well. If your camping I would book in advance one of the best places to go camping in Florida ( My Opinion) hope this helps safe travels
Just check the website each Wednesday. They are updating it then. With the heavy rains it has been flooded throughout the whole area. Until it dries or the rains subside I can only assume they will remain closed for a while.
Generally someone is there, if not, go in the campground. and pay inside the store in the morning for camping the night before.. 💙 or wait until the store opens the next day to go inside the park. 💜
Yes, there is an air station right next to were you rent the floats. But there are only 2 stations. It's best to have your own air pump that can hook up to your vehicle.
You dont have to pay to fill the tubes, but yes there is a line, I suggest to go early or fill it up with your inflable mattress pump if your are camping! Great place!!
Ginnie springs is a beautiful place and a great experience. All the people complaining are just Karen’s that went on 4th of July when people drink and smoke and shoot fireworks obviously that’s gonna be going on. Plus weed is medically legal.

We witnessed no poor behavior. People were responsible, respectful, gave space, and left others alone who were not in their party. It was our first ever tubing and first ever trip to Ginnie Springs. We were very happy with our day!
How can I go on June 27, and know if we will enter the river? Doesn't the arrival time matter? How many people are there per group?
yusbreiky rojas | Jul 1, 2020
Yohell Rubio | Jul 2, 2020
You can go any day, the entrance is at 7 a.m. but arrive at 6 a.m. to sign up; if you want to enter before it is worth $ 30 type 1 a.m. 2 am. 3:00 a.m. etc per day and per person, if you enter after 7 a.m. It is worth $ 20 a day for each person to carry floats and their camping tent, there are no flies but there are ants and a couple of mosquitoes. I hope my answer will help you.
RVs and tents are all allowed. They have full hook up and primitive sites for both. Beautiful and well managed place. A little rowdy during popular times but still family friendly
Its open 24/7 365 days a year the only time ginnie closes is if its flooded. The water is deep anyone under 4.5ft beware it will most likely be above your head unless there is a drought. Even then bring floaties for the kids and maybe a raft.
Is it accessible to the public or do you have to reserve?
Diana Figueroa | Aug 5, 2021
Jose Rodriguez | Aug 6, 2021
You do not need to book you can arrive any day the space is too big and there is space for everyone only when you arrive you have to register to know how many days you are going to be or only one
Does anyone know the prices for cabins or camping?
Omayra Algarin | Jul 1, 2021
yari Pedrozo | Jul 2, 2021
Camping per adult $ 25 and per child from 5 to 12 years $ 8. Cabins per night up to 4 adults, $ 220, additional adult $ 25, children from 5 to 12 $ 8 cabins with reservation only.
We speak Spanish and for children too, what to reserve? How much does the entrance cost for adults and children
There are no official horse trails or horse stalls. Pets are not allowed for safety reasons. Springs owners have beautiful horses grazing in the fields when not overcrowded.
Yes rikki.....its amazing...plz go...yes what albet said...gotta have reservatiomsgo to the websight..itss exactly like the pics on site
It was amazing
Hard to say. They don't offer the gear because of Covid. But only professional divers with licenses are allowed to dive anyway. You would need all your own stuff.
Very bad that place that there are several lakes they say there is only one beautiful lake the rest a dirty river and very expensive too 15 dollars per person the best of all is kelly of all the parks that I went
jennifer valderrama | Jul 1, 2021
A S | Jul 2, 2021
Where is kelly?
Can I arrive without reservation?
Maria Karbaj | Jul 1, 2021
Joseferney Salinas | Jul 2, 2021
If you can get there without a reservation, the site is spectacular, I recommend it
You should be able to. I have seen plenty of people with trailers for golf carts and rafts. There insolent of room as long as you find a big site a d there are plenty.
It is not necessary to make a reservation, they should only arrive as early as they can, because afterwards the lines of cars to enter are too long and an hour arrives that they no longer allow you to enter if it is very full.
You sure can. We went just last weekend, there was plenty of spaces available. I suggest a spot right at the tube exit. There is a small spring there that is beautiful.
The price is 20 per adult to just get into the park then we rented tubes for 6 people which ran us a little over 40 bucks. Its pricy but we had really good time. Definitely will go camping there one year
You can only book as you arrive because you have to sign a legal liability release. Your friends can arrive whenever they choose, but be sure your site is big enough and that you are around it so that no one takes a spot you're trying to save. There are literally thousands of people there on the weekends!
You have to check in before entry into the park or paid prior night camping theme park opens at 8 a.m. check out times a half an hour before Sunset the next day
If me and my brother drive up together can we purchase an extra car pass for our wife's once they get there?
Joshuah Proctor | Jul 1, 2020
Yesenia Reed | Jul 2, 2020
No you have to arrive together. 1 car after the other.
how do you prepay and register some else to be on my campsite
Bruce Guesman | Jul 1, 2020
Cheryl Lorenz - Marsh | Jul 2, 2020
Sometimes you can pre-register online but sometimes they request that you do it on site because of everything covered 19. So just keep trying to call in if not go online and see if you can pre-register for everything
I'm not sure of the official policy. But I don't see why not. Don't see how anyone would ever know...or if anyone saw, why they would care, cats are generally pretty harmless.
Camp sites are throughout the entire springs. Some are right next to the water, some are further away. If you google Ginnie Springs Campsite map. It shows you how they are all around and throughout the springs. For tubing, To walk the tube trail to get back to the beginning from the end is about 20-30 mins depending on traffic. It's great on the weekdays!! More chill and not as packed. Party all day and night during the weekends of summer. Depends on what kind of atmosphere you're going for. It's my favorite spring in FL. That I've seen so far.
Is there a specific age you have to be to dive and can you be unexperienced?
Nikk Hollis | Jul 2, 2019
Robert Henn | Jul 3, 2019
12 yr old and above and dive services can be arranged thru office
If you rent a cabin you'll have AC. Otherwise it's caming on your own with tent's. Campsites go have a grill but you'll need to bring charcoal. They also have showers and bathrooms. My advice with just camping there 2 weeks ago, it was super hot. Try planning a trip there a little later in the year when it's a little cooler
The spring water is very Clear and extremely cold! The river is much warmer this time of year. However the river is not clear like the spring's waters.
It says absolutely no pets but if you call them they may make an exception 4 a support dog but I don't think so because it is very loud and crowded and there's a lot of people there lot of little kids we're going to want to play with your dog
There are certain Springs on here that are more shallow than the other ones there are stairs and areas where you always can stand only place where it's going to be deep is if you go more towards the middle of the two bigger Springs you do not have to know how to swim to visit this place and enjoy the water
Depends... How well do you sleep at 80 degrees at home with a fan on. It's a subjective question. Not trying to be a jerk. If you're ok at home in the 80s with a fan you'll be fine camping. If not then no you won't enjoy it.
There are stairs that descend into devil's eye, Ginnie, and the dogwood boat ramp is also gradual entry. Also the tubing entry point at the top of the property had stairs, but I wouldn't let kids"play" at the bottom of them. Those stairs are perfect for getting into your tube.
https://ginniespringsoutdoors.com/rules-policies/ (this will give u all the info you need😊) You CAN swim there(@own risk-no lifeguard) which is awesome. With water so clear you can see the fish and occasionally,a manatee and HUGE channel cat. Very cool place without huge crowds.
It is $15 per person to go in. I went today. U can buy your own floaties or rent them ($6) and u can rent a mask and snorkel for like 8bucks I think. I bought a floatie for 11 bucks and it was awesome!
Some primitive sites are riverside. Electric area probably quieter. It can be rowdy but I love camping there and waking up at the springs. Its great before the day use people arrive and after. Bring float or tube and I recommend bringing a bike if you have one.
Alcohol is allowed please clean up after yourself and as long as you're not causing a ruckus late at night you're fine. If you camp farther away from the main springs it's like you have the whole place to yourself! Provided it's not a holiday weekend or summertime!
They have rents there also.
you can camp in the place you have to take your tent, you can rent a rod there you have to reserve it in advance, or a hotel is about 30 minutes from ginnie spring, you can visit their website www.ginniespring.com there against all the information.
You can reserve or rent an RV spot, I don't think you can park it on a non RV site except the ones at the very front with no hookups. And no pets. I don't think that you can park an RV anywhere without paying- it's too big.
Theres a 20 person minimum and a deposit of a thousand dollars if you want to reserve a basic tent site, so no. The deposit goes toward the total cost of 20 people camping, and if those 20 people don't show and pay their cost, you pay the remainder. Just show up early and pick a spot.
If you want the place which is near river and cars are not allowed to drive on the road then pick one near dogwood spring. Bath house and the main Springs are in walking distance plus you have a electricity and volleyball court nearby.
Camping
Adults (10% discount to seniors 62+)$22.43
Children (Ages 6-12)$6.54
Children (Ages 5 and Under)Free
Electricity and water hookup (per site per night)$10.28
We saw one in the water but it seemed scared and was just trying to get to the other side. I am absolutely terrified of snakes and i was in a float(Im 63 y/o) when i saw him slither into the water and my son was like ma just relax and i ended up feeling sorry for thr snake,he made as straight a beeline as he could to get away from the people. The place is so beautiful and relaxing, you tend to forget about them. Go and enjoy yourself.
Its mostly family oriented. Occasionally you'll find a disrespectful person or attitude, just like anywhere else but its not the norm.
You'll need a site that offers electricity. They have both electric & primitive sites.
Its optional or not enforced but I would recommend it as there as some areas with sharper rocks. However if you don't bring feet protection it isn't the end of the world and your feet will be fine as long as your careful
The springs themselves are very deep. Its recommend to bring floating aids for young swimmers to wear. Arm floats or floating vests would help. There is a lazy river to float down but it too is deep for the most part.
If you've signed a waiver there in the last year, it is on file, however you're still going to wait in line like everyone else and all you avoid is signing the screen again. Show up early to avoid lines.
There isn't 1. I had my 6,4,3, and 1 year olds there last weekend. But it is a party spring. Alot of college students and lots of open drinking and drug use
How has the water looked this month? Still as clear? And can I rent a kayak somewhere on the springs?
Rebecca | Jul 2, 2019
Carlos Baez | Jul 3, 2019
Yes is very clear and you can rent tubes or kayak right a the park, but need to be there very earlly. Its a big park and fun to visit
Can I bring a dirt bike
Apple apple | Jul 2, 2019
Cheri M | Jul 3, 2019
Yes. But there arent really any suitable or safe places to really ride it, other than down the main roads you are sharing with (many possibly drunk) pedestrians.
Depths vary by locations there are at least 4 spring areas some caves are at least 10-20 feet down and farther if you dive with a tank and yes some areas you can stand child or adult (my daughters been going since she was 6 or 7 ) some areas she can stand some she can not. Bring mask snorkel fins or floatation devices for ones who cant swim. Bring tubes or floats if u wanna do the river run it can take up to an hr to float down from top to bottom. The river is deep and 0 visability and possible gators so i wouldnt recommending swimming the river. Dont worry they dont like the springs to many people and water is to cold.
They do not have tents to rent. People do pay the camping fee and bring their own tent though. Lots and lots of places to camp there. Some with electricity, some without. (Electricity sites are more, and require reservation. No electricity does not require a reservation). You can go to their website to see the fee amounts.
$14.02 adults $3.72 kids 6-12 & 5 and under are free you can upgrade to camping if done by sundown and pay the difference $22.50 adults $6.50 kids 6-12 5 & under r free & $10.28 for water and electric hook ups 😎 4 springs stops and hr long river run u can do tubing and air station and cafe for food a general store for the forgotten and loads of fun!!
There are bath houses so that's taken care of.
There is water by the lamp posts to clean pots and pans.
You can go tubing in the river. The start is at Beaver's landing. Ends before twin springs.
The springs are lit at night so you can swim whenever you want.
There is a store available. It is the only place that has wifi.
There is a publix 30 minutes away from Ginnie Springs.
Firewood is available at the store.
Have fun.
We were on Site 57 we had a large camper and 2 tents. If it fits on the site you can have it. Electric and water sites must be reserved all other sites are first come first serve
How much is it daily and how much is per night camp per 1 adult
Jesse Powell | Jul 2, 2018
Kateleen Bentley | Jul 3, 2018
Daily for adult is wit 10% discount is from 8am until ½ hr before sunset is $14.02
The camping for adult is wit 10% discount is $22.43
Camping prices are per person per night
Must be 18 yrs or older to camp wothout parents and must have I.D cuz they I.Don Prices may be higher on major holidays/holiday weekend
Prices are subject to change without notice and do not include Florida sales tax
I don't think there's a definite amount. I've had groups with as much as seven other tents. It's probably going to come down to how much of your campsite you actually want to share.
Why don't you have lifeguards?
J R | Jul 2, 2018
Miko G | Jul 3, 2018
They’re a privately owned operation, they don’t need to have them.
You will have a blast and so will your friends and relatives it is a beautiful place to camp overnight enjoy the water the wildlife and fishing if you like
This also depends on when. On holiday weekends most sites are reserved. But when the park is more empty they are much more laid back about letting you swap.
