The water has turtles . Fish and the occasional manatee . This is very safe waters . The river is dark but there's nothing there but branches .

No ususally not, lets be honest however, ginnys spings are attatched to the sante fe river which does have alligators in it ....gators do not like cold water so they usually do not go into springs but we do live in FL and we do live in gator infested waters so yes there are gators but no not usually in the springs area but diver have seen them in the river so if tubing down river stay on floats and tubes and out of river to be on the safe side but i must add my family and i have been in springs and river run many times and never seen a gator but stay in groups and stay on tubes and you will be fine 😊
