These royal rooms are just magical. Everything is right out of a Disney story. ❤
Ben Winslow
Great location, the amenities were conveniently located and the views were beautiful!
Charlotte Laget
Everything was perfect, the hotel is beautiful, the rooms are fine but a bit dark, the swimming pool is fine. The shuttle system works very well.

Beautiful grounds. We stayed in the royal suits and to be honest, they felt like they needed a bit of a refresh. There were lots of spots on the walls/wallpaper that were old and discolored or damaged. And the shower curtain rings were all rusted (I hang my towel over the shower curtain rod, so this was something I noted right away). However, the rest of the resort amenities made it 5 stars in my opinion. The pool by our building was incredible (we didn't go to the main pool area). The food at Boatwrights was very good and the gift shop was one of the best stores we were in during our whole stay! And the boat ride to Disney springs is so convenient and relaxing. A beautiful way to spend a day you aren't headed into the parks. Or pop over for lunch or dinner! One last piece of advice. The food at the quick service is ok, but stay far away from the breakfast bagel. The egg on it is from another planet - terrible! Other than that - enjoy your stay!

Yes, it's a very convenient and relaxing ride.
Qick service is open till 11p, bar serves food until 11:30p
I don't spend much time in the room so I never spend the extra money.
Yes, you can ask for one if it isn't there already
Our room was near the West stop. It was relatively uncrowded, and since it was the first of three stops to load before leaving the property, we always got seats. We often gave up our seats for kids or older riders, but it was always nice to board an empty shuttle.
Yes there's a coffee pot and a small fridge there is no microwave but there is one in the dining hall
I believe I recall seeing a sign that said it only allowed Service Animals. If this describes your pet, then I can say that there is plenty of grass areas and walk ways for your furry little one.
No. Only other port Orleans Resort and Disney springs
Yes. They are small, but perfect for storing leftovers & a few drinks!
If your staying for just the day you could park at Disney Springs for free & take the boat over.
Depends on the park. It is in the Disney springs area. Therefore it is fairly close to Hollywood studios and EPCOT. Animal Kingdom is not much further. Magic kingdom is a bit of a hike from all but the three Magic Kingdom hotels. The property is huge so distance to the parks is not really much of a deciding factor.
Not that I've ever seen. However, they do have a nice running path between Riverside and Port Orleans (1.5 miles round trip). They also host a 1.5 mile beignet fun run on Sunday mornings.
There is a dog daycare on disney grounds not far from the resort.
Yes they do you need to let them know that you are annual pass holders
Yes, bt better to arrange as early as possible. In summer peak season we got only 1 hour late checkout and thn to keep luggage wth hotel and use rest of resort services until we had a scheduled airport shuttle, 2hours later.
Why would you want to fish while at Disney? Are you serious or from La lol
I would call the reservation line. They still had some on Tuesday.
Seriously.. They have 1 microwave available at the far end of the "Riverside Mill Food Court". Depending on the time of day, it can be a very popular place.
Free parking at parks and Springs. But you may have hotel rates to pay if driving to other ones.
Yes
No, scooters are not available for rent at Port Orleans. If you need a scooter for use at the resort, consider a third party company like Buena Vista Scooters or Scooter Bug. Scooters can be rented at the theme parks but they cannot leave. Wheelchairs are available at the hotel.
Curt, As mentioned above, there is a sit down restaurant, Boatwrights (5pm-9pm), reservations are recommended!!! Then there is the Riverside Mill Food Court!!! Bakery opens at 6³⁰ am, hot food starts at 7⁰⁰ am and we close at 11⁰⁰ pm every day!!! Please come & join us, we welcome you with open arms, Covid arms that is, but I'm Tom & I work as a cashier in the food court and I HIGHLY recommend it, Prime Rib Sandwiche or the Pot Roast Dinner from the carving station!!! Both are my favorites and both will melt in your mouth!!!
It does not cost extra. The ferry is included in your stay at the Disney resorts.
It is closest to EPCOT, maybe five minutes away from parking lot entry. From EPCOT to Disney World, using the monorail system: 30 minutes. Animal Kingdom and the Disney Studios parks are about 30 minutes each via car.
Designated areas by the parking lot only from what I saw. Never an issue when we've stayed there.
No. You can only get to disney springs by boat from port orleans
No, complimentary breakfast is not offered at any of the Walt Disney World Resorts.
Yes, this is a dog friendly resort. You’ll need to include your dog on the reservation. A small fee applies.
You can checkin online and then you will get a text when your room is ready
I agree make sure u get a ground floor room. But u also want to be near main building. The dining hall and member experiences would need to be close by.
He will know where to go.
Disney will usually work with you in the event of a hurricane. Travel protection is offered on packages and is highly recommended.
Some rooms have them, some do not. But microwaves can be requested from housekeeping at no cost.
Park guests can take advantage of free, regular bus transportation to and from the parks. It's a very good system.
The date of your Fast Pass booking availability is related to the first day of your stay at a Disney resort, of which this is one. If you book any Disney World resort you will be able to book FPs for your entire stay 60 days prior to that first day. Other posters are correct that the Disney Experience app and website will help you plan, which is part of the fun!
Air port shuttles are no longer offered by Disney. You will have to book third party or use Uber or Lyft.
Yes these rooms are designated at ‘5th Sleepers.’ Two queen beds and a small fold down bed ideal for a child up to age 10.
Fridge yes, microwave no
Yes, make sure you book it though
Joffrey's Disney Mickey's 90th Anniversary Blend
I believe all the Disney hotel pools are heated. I have been in a bunch of them in the winter. The only bad part is getting out
We stayed for a week and there were no hidden fees associated with hotel stay that i noticed. All the transportation to and from the parks/hotels are included in the price for the hotel so no charges there either. Now as for dinning, we bought the deluxe dining and some things are not covered even on the deluxe plan/or would cause use extra credits, which we had, so that was not an issue. If you do go to the Signature dinning restaurants a 15% ( or a bit more, cant remember) tip is automatically applied if you have a party bigger than 5. The gratuity can be left as cash, paid by credit or charged to your room. Have fun!
like the other responders there is buses to all the other Parks there's also water transportation to downtown Disney Disney springs
Go to Disney website for email contacts
Yes, but there is a $5 charge per box received.

Yes. You can carry alcohol around everywhere at the resort. No glass containers. If you mean can you bring beer to the resort, then yes as well. You can actually order from Garden Grocer or maybe Amazon Prime and have it shipped to arrive the day you check in.
This isn't a question
Yes. Mousekeeping left 2 coffee sets per day.

Eggs/bacon/sausage/waffles/fruit/omelettes/sausgrav
No glass around the pools, but in general, you can have alcohol at pools. The main pool has a bar attached, Muddy Rivers I think is the name. You can walk around resort with alcohol as well. I think they would prefer you have alcohol in Dixie cup type glasses
Yes, the pool I swam in last night was heated. Find the grill vent in the bottom of the pool pumping out warm water for proof ;)
There are two bus stops in riverside, so nowhere is too far from a bus stop
Yes buses to all parks 1 hour before park opens 2 hours after park closes every 20 minutes
They have 1 (ONE) microwave available 24 hours at the far end of the "Riverside Mill Food Court". Depending on the time of day, it can be a very popular place.
Pack n plays available upon request
The Disney resorts allow uber / lyft drivers to pick you up at the main buildings. Avg uber price one way from a resort to universal studio parks for us was $15-$17
Check in is at 3, you can check in online also. But you can check in early there is a possibility that a room ready.
Yes there is a refrigerator in the room it's housed in the dresser.
Yes. There is also a small fridge. Buy some milk or creamer, and viola! "Free" coffee
The gift shop and/or food court should offer stuff like this for you.
Yep, hair dryers and irons/board
Yes, there are towels by the pool for guestsd to use.
Agree with others. We requested adjoining rooms, but got rooms next to each other instead. No biggie. It's based on availability. There are some unofficial WDW websites that give you hints that might improve your chances with room requests. Google WDW room requests and do some research. Hope this helps
Laundromat is located next to the smaller pools that are located near the rooms. The laundromat uses ATM card. And every room has an iron and ironing board as well as a hair dryer.
Yes. Pet rooms are on certain floors. This is a new policy. The additional charge is $50. Per pet, per night. Must have paperwork to show vaccinations.
