First time to Disney World. We chose this location because it is walking distance to EPCOT & Hollywood Studios and it had a nice pool. Hotel was nice but you can tell it's old. The rooms have been redone and the rooms felt nice; however the halls, elevators, & the general feel is still that of an older hotel. The hotel is sprawling so it was quite a walk to our room from the lobby/entrances. We were good with it, but this could be difficult for some. The couch layed out into a bed and there was enough room for family of 4. We enjoyed sitting out on the deck during the rain storms but there were only 2 chairs. It was nice being able to walk to a few parks and we walked over to the Boardwalk area a few times. The boardwalk was cute but not as much shopping & food options as we expected. There were regular buses transporting guests to/from other parks. Staff was friendly and helpful. The pool area was nice & the ship slide was fun. Beaches & Cream soda shop was cute and tasty. The sandy beach areas around the lake added a nice feel. The one Marketplace inside the hotel was crowded in the mornings as there weren't many nearby options for breakfast/coffee. The Yacht Club was in a nice area grouped with a few other hotels. The area/grounds were nice and kept clean. It was great for our first visit. We went and looked at a few other Disney properties while there and we'd try a different place next time to shake it up. Nothing here wowed us enough that this is "our place".

Horrible front desk staff who did not take a severe mold attack caused by Disney’s mould-riddled Splash Mountain seriously… it’s almost 3 am and I still cannot sleep due to breathing issues and extreme skin irritation—this SHOULD be a concern… if this were any true 5 star hotel, they’d actually care. I told personnel (aka “cast members”) at MK as well, and no one cares. I am sorry, but, “there isn’t a leader on at this hour” is NOT an okay response to someone having a severe allergy attack due to being mould injured. I’ve spent around $50k at Disney in the past 5 months… people always ask why I don’t do DVC… it’s because this way if they ever screw me over I can just walk away… which is what I’m doing.

Really nice Disney Delux resort. Becoming a slight value compared to other Disney stay options. A lot is rolled into staying at a Delux resort.

This is one of my favorite resorts to do a staycation at. Easy access to Epcot and only a boat ride away from Hollywood studios. We had a great room close to everything. It was a little hard getting floats for the lazy river but be patient and you will get one.

No. But being part of the Disney resort they have many different vacation packages that can make it close to being one. I recommend calling them for more information or checking out the Disney World website.
Disney's Yacht Club is also the sister property of Disney's Beach Club which does have DVC villas as well. So you can use DVC points there too.
I believe all Disney resorts include shampoo
Yes definitely Disney owns ABC and it's on in all the rooms channel 7
Work with a travel agent that specializes in Disney.
It's easier to use the mobile service
400 and up depending on room size
Yes you are they will text you when your room is ready. The bell men will put all yourugage in a safe room with all you stuff. . We were there 5 weeks ago. The rooms get done very fast. Enjoy
It is an option buy there is a Walmart few miles away. I would suggest getting the brand you like from there.
Not as a character but they do have grumpy merchandise
It’s the Pearl Factory
If you are just attending, there is no parking fee, if you are staying overnight, there is a fee
Yes they do have dry cleaning services. In the room (closet) you will find a bag and the checklist of what you want done
Probably only service dogs
For packages, 30 days prior to arrival. For room only reservations, 5-days prior to arrival.
I had a small package delivered from Amazon. Com, no charge from the hotel.
From what i have been told is the first floor rooms are dog friendly
The magic of Magical Express is that after you check your luggage in at the resort, the next time you see it will be at the luggage carousel at your destination airport. If you need to get into your luggage after visiting the park but before departing the resort, then you can check it in at that time.
Around 30 to 45 minutes is what it usually takes to get there.
There are beach towels at all of the pools on property as well as towel return bins. The towels in the rooms are bath towels. It is ok if you take an pool towel with you outside of the pool area. Just leave it with the other dirty towels in the bathroom
Use Disney's magical express. Comes free with your resort stay. They also take your luggage for you, if you wish.
Sure can .. a quick walk along the lakefront, and you'll be at the International Gateway entrance in no time!
Yachtsman Steakhouse menu is available on Disney's website. Captain's Grille is currently closed and being refurbished. It will be renamed The Ale and Compass Restaurant.
