We were stuck here during hurricane Ian The staff and the workers at Old Key West resort deserve all the accolades and greetings that I can possibly give them they were very professional very helpful and did all of this under what could definitely be called the worst of circumstances they certainly earned a five-star rating in my book

I've been going here since 1994 and have loved every single stay there. While there may be newer and more updated disney resorts. Old Key West will always have a special place in my heart. They've updated the electronics, furniture, bathrooms, and appliances and the bus service to the parks is great and it's close to all the parks and disney springs. Its a very laid back and tropical feel. Some things can feel dated to those of us that are adults now and went as kids but you just can't beat the experience of the original disney vacation club resort. I've stayed at the boardwalk and Saratoga springs ad well but neither came close to the wonderful experience of old key west. The food is great, they have kids activities and movie nights and bonfires at night which you should make sure not to miss. The general store is great for little essentials and some souvenirs you can't find anywhere else. While I considered the new building at the contemporary and the animal kingdom resort, I ultimately wanted my daughter to see the magic I got to experience at old key west when I was her age. Its just a magical place ✨️

Shampoo, conditioner, body wash and pool towels = yes. They have laundry machines free for guests, but you either buy soap or bring some soap from home.

Car rental at Disney car care centre at entrance to magic kingdom, they do collections and drop off to hotels it run by Alamo . Have used a few times good service.
No, there's no where to fish as most of the water is part of LBV Golf Course.

No. Disney resorts do not allow pets (service animals only). All pets should plan on checking into the kennel on property or another nearby.
Four pools. Three in the outlying areas and the main pool at the hospitality house. All pools are heated. Lifeguards are present at the main pool only for most of the daylight hours.

Yes, if you go to your tickets and tours on base they can get you the tickets. Up to 6 tickets per service member. But the military person or dependent has to activate the tickets at the parks when you show up with your military ID. The discount does average out to be about 40% off the cost of the ticket.
I just stayed in building 13, directly across the street, and it was not renovated.

No lap pool, but you could swim back and forth in one of the quiet pools. I did yesterday morning for exercise.
Yes there is parking outside the villa's. The two bed villas are 1 storey but may be on a higher floor with no elevators.
