It was good but it used to be five star great. They were short the Key Cards used to enter the room. They give you a choice to install an app or buy a braclet. Ii say that they inconveniences should be adjusted by them. Dont force me to accomidate the fact that you cant supply whats needed. That and the fact that the park is in bad condition. So many trip hazards in concrete walks that it makes the lawyer me smile. Walt would never let this happen. What a shame.

Wonderful vacation in the cabins.

Could live in FW the rest of my life and I'd be happy

Great resort and rooms were spotless. I was pleasantly surprised. Great place to visit if you want to be away from the usual Disney crowds. Its a home away from home. It would benefit from a bit more lighting especially if returning back late can be a little creepy and dark. Otherwise great place for families.

You do not have to go to the parks to enjoy yourself at this resort. You can fish and camp. They have archery, and campfire sing a longs. They also have a beach where you can watch the Magic Kingdom fireworks. The place is nestled in the woods, so it is very rich with nature. The wildlife is the tamest wildlife I've ever come across. All in all it's a wonderful resort. Very quiet compared to other Disney resorts. Hope this helps.
Yes, they even have loops specifically for campers with Pets and a dog park
You can but they will also clean for you
There is a grocery store a short drive away outside the park if you have a car
You provide your own, they clean out the grill of charcoal the following morning.
BBQ grills at each cabin and fire pits where the movies are shown nightly.
You can rent 6 seat golf cars, but they don't have very many and they're hard to get.
Towels are supplied in the cabin. There are not towels at the pool. You bring one from the cabin. There are plenty and you can get extra from housekeeping (or as they say "mousekeeping"). The cabin has a typical bathtub with shower head.
It was available for purchase at the meadow trading post when we were there last week.
Through my disney experience online
The one in our cabin was one that would fit a defuser. But I think just to play it safe you may want to call to double check just in case they dont all have the same type of hairdryer.
Yes there is a coffee maker in the cabins. I believe it makes 8 cups from a full pot.
As far as I can tell, yes. There were dogs all over and there is a dog park as well. It may be specific cabins that have pet areas though.
Efficiency kitchenette with microwave/convection oven
We stayed in a handicap cabin in July. Layout is good for a large motorized wheelchair. The bed was against the wall on the side my husband needs to get in bed. The maintenance guy helped me move it over to make it work. Everything else worked out fine. BBQ grill is on the deck for the handicap cabins which is nice. Bus transportation is available at the entrance to the circle.
They have coffee and hair dryers. They're not the best, so if you're picky, bring your own.
Fully stocked kitchen supplies.
Yes they are fully equipped
No. But you can on the porch.
In June of 2006 Disney banned smoking in its hotels. This included smoking on balconies (I did not know that tid bit). So to answer the question, you are not allowed to smoke in any Disney hotels.
The cabins have their own restrooms and parking space right out front plus the shuttles are always coming so its not a long wait for anything
2 kids in bunks and 2 adults in queen bedroom with kids. 2 adults fit on the pullout couch in other room.
Yes so long as it meets the rules. Which say it needs head and tail lights and can't be a utility style cart. It must be a good cart style. https://disneyparksmomspanel.disney.go.com/question/gas-golf-carts-used-fort-wilderness-campground-350554/
Yes they come everyday. If you are in the cabin when they come you can choose to let them come in while your there, or just get fresh supplies towels/coffee/shampoo/remove trash/etc. or within reason ask then if they can come back at a later time. They have always been great to work with and we have done all those options based on what out needs were. And if at any time day or night you need towels or something just use the room phone's housekeeping button and they will usually be there in under 30 minutes with whatever you need.
The cabins have a queen bed, twin bunk beds, and a pull out couch. I don't think you'd need one or have space for one.
Drip coffee makers, not k-cups
According to the Disney World website and it is $59 plus tax. On another website I found that the price was $62.84 plus tax per day so I believe the price may fluctuate throughout the year though that may be an inaccurate statement. This will give you a good idea of where to start with prices.
Deer, squirrels, and frogs is all we saw at cabins back in June. Saw some other animals while out and about; Alligator, which was being removed by park services, horses at the stables, and of course the random birds.
All cabins have one bedroom with a queen bed and bunk beds. There is an additional sofa sleeper in the living room area
You have the Meadow Snack Bar at the main pool. They have drinks available but wouldn't say it is a true pool bar, more a snack bar.
People have. Just contact the cabins' conciege and they can lead you in the right direction
They have not reopened the whole resort yet. Tentative date is 9/23
Yes you can get around just fine as there is bus transportation with numerous bus stops
