I agree make sure u get a ground floor room. But u also want to be near main building. The dining hall and member experiences would need to be close by.
Disney World is a lot of fun but also a lot of walking. However, there are electric carts to rent at each resort. We stayed at the Port Orleans Riverside. There are many ground floor rooms. So make sure you reserve one of those.
Honestly, call Disney, they'll be more knowledgeable about all of this with regards of special accomodations that they might be able to do for you.
