I did the whole trail, to the right is all the clear water where you can swim and enjoy the view. on the left are all the animals for lovers of the deepest nature. turtles, fish, birds, lots of alligators. see more on my reels at @Farmerestrellafl . recommended for a relaxing day

Great experience and really loved our guide! Ask for Kat, she was so personable and knowledgeable of what we were doing. She went above and beyond for taking care of my wife and I. We will be coming back and doing the longer tour for sure
Rick Colon
Crowded and nothing to really do if you don't kayak
Ricky Morris
Absolute blast. I'm sure thus place sucks of its packed. The creek/river was not wide.

I just called in and they said that dogs are allowed on Kayaks! Just remember that they are cash only and you can't bring glass or styrofoam! Have fun!
The place everyone takes pictures at is to the right after you exit the canoe launch canal. You have to paddle up stream. It's called the emerald cut. It goes on for about 1 mile up stream. That water is very clear with a shallow Sandy bottom. Most of the rest of the run is darker
Its $10 to launch each kayak but if you want to kayak the full 8 miles down to Wekiva island, then you pay another $10 to get a ride back up to Kings Landing. Otherwise you kayak a few miles and turn around and kayak back for just $10
Yes. It is a body of water in Florida, always assume there could be gators, snakes, raccoons, etc. Stay in your kayak and if you need to get out, only if there are other people around.
payments are made the same day of the reservation in the place.😊
Actually John. Yes you can bring small children to swim.
No
Yes you can, till you reach a bridge. But then you are already within the camp ground anyway.
Yes some porta johns and two huge ones with changing room space. Total of 5 , then 2 more in parking lot outside
I don't think you can use motors in the springs. Especially with so many people everywhere
Weekends 1/2 hour before the open, weekdays 5-10 minutes will suffice. If bringing your own kayak/canoe, the circle drive will allow drop off of vessel & gear, so you don't have your hands full walking from parking area.
Yes, for a charge of $10 per kayak you could launch at Kings landing but you have to park out side the park after you launch
Nope thats only at the state park up the road because of their custom kiddie areas have little to no river flow in them so thats why they closed kingslandings has flow thus why they dont close due to algae up at the state park
Wekiva island. If you have a large group they may be willing to arrange another time. Give Renee a call (she runs the place) and ask her! 🙂
Yes, I've done this before but be careful Wekiva Island parking is very limited.
Probably depends on the day and how busy they expect to be. They are very easy going
Yes, launching your own kayak is $10. Bring cash, as they do not take credit cards. They do have an ATM but it's super slow and a hefty fee.
I've been there on the most busy days and they have always had enough canoes so I doubt it
Yes they have both. They are really nice people call and talk to them.
8 miles downstream the whole way. Takes about 4.5 hours to do. Have to be on the water by 11am in order to catch the ride back for pick up at the island. Enjoy!
I wouldn't. Run still has A LOT of submerged logs from past hurricanes. I can see how easily it would be to puncture any inflatable craft.
Yes. Water is clear. My family and I spend every summer there. So layed back and alcohol friendly. Great place to take the kids
I think the bookings are for 4 hours. Also when you drive there, there will be a line of cars waiting to get into rock springs in the right lane, put on your hazard lights pull up to the traffic officer and let him know you are going to kings landing, not rock springs bypass all the traffic.
Its mostly just a canoe and kayak launch. And they provide a ferry service for a fee. There is also a fee for launching without pick up. Like most recreation areas, alcohol is not permitted and they advertise that they check coolers. Its best to pack reusable water bottles and beverage containers because litter is a real problem in these areas. Pack in and pack out. Happy yakking
$10 per adult, $5 per child under 12
It depends if you own your kayak or not. We do and it cost us $10 per adult and $5 per kid 12 and under. We went April 2022
Kings Landing itself doesn't have a restaurant but there are places somewhat nearby. We were going to go to Wekiva? Island to go to the restaurant there but found out it was $2 per person just to park and we had 9 people total so we were like forget it. Also call Kings Landing does look fabulous but call ahead if you want to ensure amazing. After rain the tannins come out in the river and it's mostly brown. We went last wk and it was all brown until the very end. But we did have fun. I wouldn't call it completely relaxing cause there is a current to fight both ways. If you stop- it takes your kayak places... it isn't a beginner paddle place... around the corners it will turn u sideways. You have to also try to avoid hitting into people and avoid having them hit into you cause it is narrow in some places and esp difficult when narrow around corners and you have alot of first timers on the river. It is relaxing up at the top tho!
Yes! You make your reservation online and they take most cards!
If you paddle Upstream, to the right after leaving the landing, the water is crystal clear and in most places very shallow. We were told it was higher than normal because it had just rained a lot recently. If you go Downstream from King's Landing, it's more of a marsh and is where we saw the gator at. Although they said the water was higher than normal, I don't think I saw any spots where it would have gone over my head. I'm 5ft 5in.
There isnt really a beach there. You launch your canoe then choose a trail. Places to stop and swim, but no beach. And kayaks are by reservation only now.
Yes as long as someone Is 18
Dog friendly, very much so
If you have reservation you should be good to just check in, but to find parking maybe go early. We parked off the side of the road of this place.
Yes but you have to reserve as "bring your own vessel" online. They will turn you away without a reservation.
No dificult D shallow and only one hour going up. Good look.
No, due to Covid
No parking fee, get there early for good parking , 10 dollars to access.
It takes as long as you want depending on what time you get there! They are not doing the full trip currently with Covid but as long as your back by 5pm you're good!
We brought a keg of beer with Solo cups and snacks. 👍🍻🍺
Yes
Yes, you can bring your own. You will have to pay the launch fee
For sure by 11am its packed even on weekdays sometimes
Parking is at a premium along the dead end road.
Iv seen them alot out there. Most of it is avoidable as long as you pay attention and know what your doing
No
Yes they have tours leaving everyday.
No
From kings landing it's a 8.5 mile run time depends on your pase. But yes you should paddle board, kayak or canoe.
Kayak 0 canoe is a different story. Depending on how big the children are I would say no more than 2.
Yes, it's $10/person to launch.
No admission and I believe it's 20$ per canoe.
Yeah really other than it being a far distance I can't think of any reason why you couldn't do it. Occasionally there are some trees down that might require you to get creative but if a canoe orr kayak can get by, surely a paddle board can.
Yes, you can. Of course take your waste with you and don't leave it in the woods.
They have the see through kayaks too if I remember correctly.
Sorry for the delay regarding pets at Kings Landing. Pets are allowed as long as they are on a leash. Thank you for your patience in reference to the above question.
Kings landing isna privately owned property and merely a canoe/kayak rental or launch. there isnt camping on the property, but as stated above, there is canping along the river at designated spots. Kings is a great place to headbout on an adventure, see Renae and you will be in good hands, she is highly knowledgable of the wekiva river basin. Aaron Philips of season 6 Naked & Afraid does guided tours down the river. Contact him at lifesurvival.net, you cant ask for a better guide.
Diff sizes Call them or look on their web pg U can also bring ur own
As I understand it there are 3 or 4 but you have to reserve them. I think Indian mond is available by land or water. It's really nice and it's in Wekiva park
If you're using your own kayak, you sign a waiver....it's up to you. But, I have to say, that seems like a bad idea.
Canoe & Swim: (paddle out and back in ) Canoes: $20 All day. Seats 3 Adults Kayaks:(1 person $30)(2 person $40) All day Includes: Canoe & PaddlesFlotation DevicesReturn canoe back to dock at Kingslanding at end of the day. BTW BRING CASH $ they don't accept cards
