what about gator activity and swimming?

We didn't see not one Gator. We only saw a young deer it was too sweet. the water is pretty clear and there's enough traffic on the wster to keep them away. I felt the safest at this location vs. To Wekiva or any other area

You'll likely see small gators on the banks when traveling the north fork. Swimming is possible on the south fork, however the depth changes often. The kayak/canoe path is narrow in areas, so that is something to think about as well.
