Kings Landing itself doesn't have a restaurant but there are places somewhat nearby. We were going to go to Wekiva? Island to go to the restaurant there but found out it was $2 per person just to park and we had 9 people total so we were like forget it. Also call Kings Landing does look fabulous but call ahead if you want to ensure amazing. After rain the tannins come out in the river and it's mostly brown. We went last wk and it was all brown until the very end. But we did have fun. I wouldn't call it completely relaxing cause there is a current to fight both ways. If you stop- it takes your kayak places... it isn't a beginner paddle place... around the corners it will turn u sideways. You have to also try to avoid hitting into people and avoid having them hit into you cause it is narrow in some places and esp difficult when narrow around corners and you have alot of first timers on the river. It is relaxing up at the top tho!
Well said Allen! Def go early or a weekday! Also you will need s reservation. Also if you want to go to the crystal clear water, when you exit their channel, go RIGHT for the emerald cut. It's about a mile to 1.5 miles, as mentioned, it's not a beginner course, HOWEVER, you can do it! Rest as needed. There are plenty of places to pull off for a quick rest. Once at the top, you will end at a wooden bridge that is the end of Kelly park rock springs tubing run. If you turn LEFT out of the channel, you will on course for an 8.5 miles scenic trip down the river to meet with wekiva springs and wekiva island. This side of the river is very slow and easy going with plenty of animals to be spotted. This includes fish, Gators, birds of all sort, turlts, otters, and who knows what else you may spy. Oh that reminds me, if you go early and there's a line of cars spanking around the curve. Place your hazards on and proceed careful around them. These are for kelly park.
