Yes you can but you have to have your cars registration renewed before hand. Also have your car insurance documents as well. Otherwise you won't be able to.. Also it is not advisable to be late for getting your car inspected, renewing your car registration, or making sure you have your license current, as well as your car insurance. They give out very high fines for doing any of those things . Also I was shocked to learn that you can't carry in your wallet your old license and your current one. If your caught your old license will be seized and you will get a very high fine..
