We only check emissions. Reverse or any other exterior lights we will not check unless your vehicle is commercial plated.
NJ only checks emissions for inspection. However, it is a good idea to get the lights fixed and possibly help her avoid an accident in a parking lot.
Go to the inspection station first. They will come up with a list of failures you need to address.
I would go to the inspection first. If the car fails because of the reverse light you'll no less than 30 days to fix the problem and bring it for re-inspection. That's what I would do.
Honestly would take it to the inspection station first. I don't believe that they even check the reverse lights any more. And if it does fail for that its an easy reinspection. Definitely still follow up with the repair because it is a safety issue.
It don't cost money to go to motor vehicle go there first let them tell you what needs to be fix first cause that might not matter
The first answer is correct only emissions are checked, lights and everything else is only checked on commercial tagged vehicles.
It is all only emissions. If that fail under a computer then your done but you shoyldbpass
The other two reviews are correct. However, make sure headlights and break lights work. Tires should have tread and breaks work. Good luck.
