My question is that my daughter has a 1996 Dodge Neon. But her reverse lights won't light up. Before we bring the car there, I was gonna take it to my Mechanic and have him work on it before she brings it in for inspection. What should I do?

We only check emissions. Reverse or any other exterior lights we will not check unless your vehicle is commercial plated.

Honestly would take it to the inspection station first. I don't believe that they even check the reverse lights any more. And if it does fail for that its an easy reinspection. Definitely still follow up with the repair because it is a safety issue.
