Super fast, super professional. Wife and I applied and recieve new FL Driver Licenses within 45 minutes of arrival. I wish I had taken my titles to transfer my plates at the same time. I recommend you look up the docs required, especially for new Florida Residents. Also, Hillsborough residents do not require appointment which is awesome since it takes forever to get an appointment at Hillsborough office. Overall, satisfied customer...good example of government working to serve the people with maximum efficiency...this is coming from a life long New Yorker!!

Came in just after 4pm, about an hour before close and they refused service because I'm not a pasco county resident. They don't make it clear, and due to the lack of clarity time and fuel were wasted to go there and get nothing done. My county's dmv is closed or appointment only so I don't have another option to get this done in a timely fashion. Either make all the dmvs in florida open or allow me to go to another county when I'm available to, but you shouldnt restrict government services.

Yes, we can renew your driver license. We do not require an appointment. Check your current license to see if you have a gold star on the top right hand corner. If you do have a gold star- you are REAL-ID compliant and we would require no documents unless something has changed like your address or name. Drug and alcohol is conducted online for a fee, you have to Google the course, DMV does not provide it. Vision, written, and road test are included in the license fee,(assuming you pass of course). $54.25 licensing only. Registration is 3 to 4 hundred.
You will need to complete the 4 Hour Drug and Alcohol test online prior to your visit. In the office, first you will get a picture, then a vision test and then the permit test on the computer. If you pass you can chose to receive a permit to practice with and return for the road test later, complete the road test at a later date and just pay for the test only, or take the road test and try for the license all at once. Road tests stop at 4pm Monday through Friday and Saturdays usually by 10:30 or sooner. If you plan on doing everything allow yourself enough time to do everything(idealy before 2pm).
