My 20 year old son lost his i d not sure if he had a gold star on it how much is it to get a new one and what does he need to show to get it

If his license/id was issued in the last few years in office he likely has a gold star. You can call to verify. If you don't want to call and you would rather be prepared just in case, bring his birth certificate OR passport, his social security card(AT LEAST the whole number) and 2 proofs of address(at least have one but preferably 2). He likely won't need anything if nothing has changed. I would recommend bringing the documents if you have them on hand to avoid having to make a separate trip. A replacement license or id is $31.25
