Friendly people and nice supplies. Can go up to 1 x a month and get up to 3 items, not including flea control and other small things. No verification or special permission needed. For vet care, the list is very long and takes 6 weeks just for an appointment.

Amazing people!! So grateful to have asomewhere to take our animals & have them professionally cared for and all they ask in return is just a $5 copay!! They not only clipped my cat's nails, gave her her shots, her flea medication & microchipped her. Phenomenal!!! They are a true blessing to those of us that are on low income. Their new location also makes it so much easier to get to them compared to where they were originally on the other side of the river.

They are there Tues, Wed & Thurs 10am-3pm
Hello, Tom! It would be best to reach out to Feral Cat Coalition. They are set up to spay and neuter feral cats that may not be able to be domesticated. http://www.feralcats.com/ However, you can also reach out to the Oregon Humane Society or Multnomah County Animal Shelter about the cats or kittens. They will ensure the kittens get vaccines, spay/neuter services, and go to new homes.
Yes, but you have to go there and apply for help Tues through Thursday opens at 10. Downstairs
If you are low income you can go to the humane society on Colombia blvd. and get a voucher towards the cost of the surgery. Companion pets has a discount day every week and if you schedule for that day, you will get a discount on the surgery and if you have a voucher from the humane society, it will cover it.
Try dove lewis
(I used to intern in their office) PAW Team is there primarily for homeless and/or poverty stricken people. They also require pets to be spayed or neutered. Since you are a minor, qualification would be based on your family's income. Dove Lewis is an Emergency Animal Hospital and unfortunately, their fees are high. I don't know if this is still the case, but Banfield Pet Clinics used to have a free exam for new customers. BUT ANY TREATMENT IS NOT FREE. So that might be an option if kitty hasn't gone to Banfield before and you are only interested in finding out what's going on with kitty. Sorry this is so lengthy, but I really hope everything turns out for both of you. π
Hi there! Yes, for vet care you will need an appointment. Clients can leave a message on our appointment line, and we reach out when we have appointments available. The first step is to become a qualified client at PAW Team. You DON'T need an appointment for that. We are open Tues-Thurs from 10-3. We do 10 interviews per day right now. You can learn more information on how to qualify by calling 503-206-6033.
Yes
Until you can get the help you need, I would get a no bite muzzle. I had to buy one years ago and it was great for what it is. This type of muzzle is made of durable coated wire and good sturdy leather. It allows your dog to bark, eat, drink and pant but does not allow him to bite keeping him and the public safe. Always reward go behavior with a mix of love and healthy for him treats. Pawteam has a great mix of high quality dog food that I use as a reward for my service dog. I currently buy puppy chow as she is only 9 months old. Try also talking to a veterinarian for ideas as well. Good luck with your boy. I pray your life turns around for the better for both of you.
This Sunday. They're only taking so many people. Myte of changed due to weather
The PAW team has moved to: 1718 NE 82nd Ave. Portland,Β ORΒ 97220
Call the phone number on the website it will give you prompts to the operator. They are extremely helpful. They do not answer the phone but they will return your phone call just leave a detailed message. They have called me back within a week of my phone call. Remember everyone there is a volunteer. So things do take a while, but it is free. So keep in mind these people are doing it out of kindness. You have to be a little patient. They have wonderful vets and a wonderful staff. I've been so happy with them. Good luck.
You need to fill out an application and make an appointment with them after that and then go vaccinate them they might be able to work you in sooner if you call
Most likely they will refer you elsewhere, as they don't offer emergency services.
You need to call them and find out also they have told me to check with the local humain society in Washington
As far as I know, only when they have a vet or clinic that volunteers. They keep a list of people whose animals need dental work and when they have something they go off the list. My dogs been on the list for over a year. If your pet is in really bad shape I would say it's worth getting a hold of them.
Not sure. Animal health care for low income families. Need to file proof of income to get care.
You have to go in there to revert. The earlier the better....
You need to go to PAW Team on a Tuesday to qualify for services and then they will set you up with an appointment for spay and neuter.
PAW Team asks for a $5 co-pay per animal per medical appointment, however no one is turned away due to lack of funds. We also have access to run some labwork panels at a discount, and are eligible for county licensing at a discount. All of these things are available for clients after the qualify for services here.
You should call first to verify. The last I heard they weren't doing chronic care clinics.
Yes they do, if you qualify. You have to go in and see if you qualify. (Go in Tuesday-Thursday 10-3. Id recommend going early as they are first come first serve, and they only see so many qualifications a day.) If you do qualify, then you can call and make an appointmet to get your pet examined. They do ask for a little money for examinations but they will not turn you away if you cannot pay. Stuff such as labs may cost a bit more but it is vastly reduced. If you have any more questions i would go in and inquire or check them out online. They are always very helpful and willing to answer questions for you. You can call, however, PAW team does not answer phone calls and works on a voicemail return call basis so it can take a bit for them to get back to you as they are generally very busy.
Your doctor would do it.
Get in touch with P.A.W.S. on 1718 N.E. 82nd. They cant help in an E.R. situation but once u go down & get accepted they see u 3xs in a yr. Call 211 they should b able to direct u to an animal hospital that i think is out on Lovejoy
Some coverage and free help available for those who qualify. I myself have availed of such.
Hi Jessica, PAW Team only provides services to cats and dogs. I would recommend contacting the Oregon Humane Society. They might have some additional resources for you. I hope that helps!
You have to call to make an appointment to have any veterinary services done including nail trims.
Today right now
Call the Portland Animal Welfare Services (PAWS). THEY ARE OPEN TUESDAY, WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY 10-4PM. They will have you show proof of income and the they qualify you, and the Oregon Humane society calls you to bring the cat in. In the meantime, keep her locked up like in the bathroom or something. They do a great job caring for your pet. Happy New Year!!! Hope this is helpful.πππ€
