My dog Lola has a hernia and it's getting bigger and is hurting her. It affects her pooping which isn't often. She's about 7 1/2 yes old, Pomeranian and normal size for her breed. I have no income but she is my life saver. Please help. Thank you

Get in touch with P.A.W.S. on 1718 N.E. 82nd. They cant help in an E.R. situation but once u go down & get accepted they see u 3xs in a yr. Call 211 they should b able to direct u to an animal hospital that i think is out on Lovejoy

If it's an emergency, your best bet is Dove Lewis Animal Hospital in NW Portland. They will work with you to set up payments, and may have emergency funds available. You can also call them for advice. PAW Team is open 10-3 Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday for qualifications and supplies. You don't need your pet with you to qualify, just proof of income. Once you qualify, you can make an appointment to be seen, or they have walk-in clinics every couple of months. Best wishes to you & Lola.

Paws is awesome, but are not a emergency clinic. They will try and get your pet in if someone cancels. They might refer you to The clinic on Lovejoy and they are an awesome staff. But without money which was my issue when my pug got sick ,I am sorry there isn't a lot of choices. Your best option would be to get a hold of Paws and start the process as soon as possible and they will be able to direct U to some agency to help U if they can't.
