We just brought home a cute new kitten!
Tenzin Yonten
We first brought a cat abandoned in our apartment complex to the Animal Humane. He received medical treatment for his wounds on the shoulder and got his medical checkup. Later, we decided to adopt him and he has been a healthy cat since then. I whole heartedly believe in the great work they do for animals! They have been kind and helpful to abandoned pets. It is a worthy place to donate and make a positive difference for the cats and dogs. Our cat approves of Animal Humane New Mexico!

Good experience

One of the best places to go to adopt a pet!! The staff are very friendly and care about what they do, the place is clean, and they have great habitats for the animals to live in. Just tell the staff what type of pet you're looking for, personality and all, and they will introduce you to your new companion. I highly recommend this place!!!

Or vca on Montgomery. Dr Blair is really understanding
The selection varies, it is a rescue shelter, they have a close partnership with the city. You can also look at their selection of animals up for adoption online at their website.
If the cat is infertile (fixed) and is not being a public menace, it may be fine that it roams the neighborhood, working as local pest control at the owner's expense. In my experience, cats that are comfortable outside generally prefer the stimulation provided by the uncaged life. If the animal stays healthy and is not a nuisance, then it's maybe best to consider it free labor. 😂
Hi do you have any baby's that need a home ?
Where is 87113 and what is a short time?
Call 311 and They'll Put You In Contact with Eastside or Westside Animal Control, It Is a Free Fix for Your Pet🐇..
i would like to adopt a puppy
Yes this is NOT a walk in clinic. By apt only and msg left only. They are not open I believe Friday-Sunday so cant leave a msg those days at all. If not an emergency call and leave msg.
I'm sure, they will work with ya. But if they don't I count on Vetco, they are awesome 👍👍👍
I would give them a call they will point you in the right direction I am sure
Orange means Medium energy. So an orange busy bee would be med-high energy. Green is highest energy level
you most likely can but I would call to make sure
No I did not because of scheduling issues
Please check on Facebook with Pet Finder. There's a visual list on Cats and Dogs, etc.Did you Cat have a chip? You might want to write down the number of the chip and contact the company. They might help you! Also place an Visual post on Facebook and put out flyers.
Any VCA animal clinic
I believe that'll be ok. I would give them a call b4 u make the trip just to make sure. Thank u for ur contribution;)
Does it have a cage? I might be interested in rescuing the cockatiel. Lmk
Call them. Best to call first. Also, new Animal Shelter on Second Street. Animal Shelter works hard to adopt out cats first. They also have good veterinarians. Save yourself trouble, just call. Good luck!
You can continue to call the owner. If still no response, bring it to Animal Humane so he can be adopted and get treated for his sickness
They have dog walkers .cat cuddles. Maintain ing gardens. Salespeople . and pricers at the thrift. They have schedulers and assistants at clinic
Animal Humane can help call for a little or no cost estamate for all vet questions
I'm not sure on this place is doing appts 4 shots. Also ck the open times of the Veterinarian Clinic of America locations, as they have listed vaccination days, as well as times. These R first come, first served.
For elderly animals or humans? Young animals are typically more money vs the fully grown one, like kittens or puppies. For adults no, all proceeds go to the organization.
Hi Richy, please call in, availability varies.
I don't think they have free animals unless you want to foster a puppy or kitten or older animal. I also think that the animals that are up for adoption aren't that expensive. Call ahead and ask
The animal humane society on Virginia, they will ask for a small donation, they don't get any money from the government, so double it. They don't put any animals down.
Yes, The shelter side should be able to take him, they may ask for a donation. They can check to see if he has been chipped, most vet's will check also
You have to be 18 or older, bring your drivers license or state Id. Go to thier web site to scedule an appointment.
I believe they will provide the cage, you trap the cat and bring to them, they spay/neuter, you pick up the cat and release.
They have a website that shows all of the pets the have available at the time of adoption look up
Yes they do.
Yes! If you see one you're interested in online, you might want to inquire and make an appointment to see them. But once there you can look at any available cats. You'll need to fill out paperwork and answer some questions but it is a fast process.
Please do it quickly, the city pound is overwhelmed and Animal Humane New Mexico is a wonderful shelter.
I am not sure if this one is. The one on Wyoming is for sure. If you can't find a place for him, message back and I will try to help find him a home.
I am not sure if they can help with something like that. You might be better off calling a vet to see if they info on that. Good luck and I hope puppy feels better.
You can do it for free but you need to get the specific cages that are like traps I was told you can get them at Lowe's for $20 and I'm not sure if you have to make an appointment but you should call either way just to make sure
We have two shelters. NE: 615 Virginia St SE, Albuquerque, NM 87108 Westside: 10141 Coors Blvd NW, Albuquerque, NM 87114
I have taken mine to my vet. East Mountain vet
The one on sunset gardens boulevard Southwest
Call and ask.im sure they'll need them when they wash the pets or improvise blankets with the shirts, beds.
Yes. There's a form online you fill out with the animal you're interested in. They call you to set up an appointment. It's the whole covid thing
I know at one time they were giving it out on Wednesday and Sunday mornings, from 10 am to 12 pm. Bring I'd.
I received one when I adopted an animal. However you will need a bigger bag within a few days. It's definitely better then nothing though.
Most likely, but you need to call. You can't just drop in.
Don't know. Call the blue building where they know about behavior classes and such. Sorry I couldn't help.
Hi Julie, thank you for reaching out to us. At Animal Humane, we offer pet vaccinations by appointment to qualifying clients. To see if you qualify, please visit https://animalhumanenm.org/clinic/how-do-i-qualify/ or call 505.217.0300 to leave a message to schedule an appointment. A team member will contact you within 72 business hours.
Animal human. They will also give you info where else you can go for free or at a very low price... low as $15
Yes
You'll have to call "Animal control" for that, Animal Humane is Only for adopting animal
Stephanie your wrong they do board animals just don't know how much..
I think it depends on the nature of the felony charge. You'll have to call them.
Depends on the animal. Older animals have a lower adoption few. Go for older. They may very well have a shorter life but are just as grateful for a home.
Depends on the reason. Some are free, some not. Best to take your pet to their Vet. Go to them directly. They are kind & caring. Please, take your pet there.
Go to Humane and hold kits to pick your favorite for your big old buddy. Purring is one life's most important sounds. Please go find your next family member!
Buses wont let him on , back on may 26 when i got him 7 different bus - drivers kicked us off , he was super small in my pouches purse .
I think because of liability the minimum age is 14 but you could always call them and ask.
They do take surrenders. Give them a call to find out their process.
They call for this information ..
Proof of income and ur pets info. Like city pet liscense or shot records. Its every thurs and Sunday's from 10a-12p. I get n they carry dog n cat food (and cat litter at times)
No to anyones knowledge, but the pet food bank might have teeth cleaning treats
Call animal humane and they can possibly get you a voucher and taks a cab to vet
Yes, they're beautiful people in there.
Yes. If you're poor with sick animal, they'll work with you. Also emergency vet in Los Luna's is terrific!
Thank you my puppy is 6lb 8oz do I need an appointment or is it first come first served
You should be able to bring in all animals but call them just to make sure
Yes u can take a cat. please see hours on website based on season .
I don't know, but call and ask them. I think they will. If not, try aspca.
They have kittens but they dont usually release them until they are old enough to be spayed or neutered, about 11 weeks old I believe.
I would call the Animal Humane Clinic on Monday & make an inquiry regarding any of their programs to help minimize the costs. I would also call Clark's Pet Emporium & Pet Vet Market & ask when they are hosting their next Shot Clinic. Have you looked into: the City of Albuquerque Free to Low Cost Spay & Neuter Program ?? You can find information on the City of ABQ's website or call 311 on Monday. Good luck & thank you for your service.
I'm not sure if they're hiring at the moment, but I'm guessing they probably always need volunteers...I'd call them and find out!
Can anyone let me know if the free dog , cat food place is open?
Unfortunately it sounds as if putting her to sleep is the best thing you can do for her. Considering her age and medical condition that would be the best course of action even if you were not on a tight disability budget.
Yes ma'am call the Animal Humane Society they are a no-kill place but they do help with special circumstances cases
I am a volunteer and it is very rare that we see birds. Does not hurt to ask you never know. Have not seen any coonhounds in a couple months. I know the city shelter usually has a couple of birds around or check with High Desert Bird Club of New Mexico. Good folks. Hope this helps.
Yes they will...
Call 311 The city was giving some out or call the city shelters
7 days a week
Are you surrendering him, or needing room & board? He may require additional vaccinations with documents along with GPS proof if you need boarding.
To the best of my knowledge it is. However there are some that need to be put down for humanity reasons. I believe you can understand that. Geoffrey
Go up and ask. There might be a background check to make sure you didn't adopt an animal then abuse or abandon it. They do have rules. Good luck. I once did up in Santa Fe. It was fun!
They give you a one time free pass gives you info on how to obtain and try to assist in other ways to.
The price is set pretty low. Call and ask when they are having an adoption fair. I've seen at times if you are a good candidate they may even give u the critter. Just ask.
That "sounds" like an ear infection, but you should really request an appointment to take him in..... My female, "used to" get ear infections a lot (another tale tale sign is if their ear, or ear wax stinks). It's basically the equivalent of a baby. A baby, can only cry, and try to "grab" the area that is causing them pain, or discomfort.... Therefore, I would suggest that you seek medical attention, because an ear infection can become very painful (for a human or animal). When this would happen to my female, I would normally get 2 prescriptions to treat the issue, one was an oral antibiotic, and the other was a liquid that you had to place inside of the dogs ear (the veterinarian/technicians will go over all medications with you) However, I would advise not to do the peroxide or anything else for that matter unless a vet approves it, because I was told the same thing by many people, and thank God I didn't listen and just took her in because my dog would be deaf right now if I had.
A metric ton.
Animal Humane has a low cost clinic on site. Call the main number and they will transfer you
Yes they do, its at 4646 Menaul Blvd
Yes for a fee they will after they talk with you.
If there's a dog that needs to be put in a place where he could be or she could be adopted the animal humane is the place there's all kinds of places to go all you got to do is Google dog adoption and you'll see four or five of them come up and I prefer Animal Humane because there's a veterinarian right there that goes through and chats all the dogs to make sure that they're healthy and then they check them to make sure that they're okay to be adopted and they let you know if there's a discipline problem or a medical problem that you're going to have to deal with animal humane is the bomb that's where I'm going to be going soon to replace one of my dogs that I'm having to put down 😎
They will take them in.
Is the dog at Animal Humane or at Animal Welfare (the municipal shelters)? Make sure you go to the right place. The information to claim is the same. If you have photos, take them, too.
Thank you all
It's is all based on income.
There is no emergency dropoff with Animal Humane.
They take donations during the week.
I would try contacting an employee or visit the shelter. If Animal Human will not fulfill your request, I would suggest looking into the city shelter.
You need to call and ask them if they do that for rabbits I've never seen rabbits there before just cats and dogs
Are you talking about ferrels? (Homeless cats?)
Its based off of income, very affordable. If you got shots and everything he needs at same time could be $75 or around there.
They have classes and special pit bull classes. Call they will tell you what classes are available
I'm sorry that somebody thinks that golden retrievers are a myth because we had one that was registered as chevis the golden Prince and he was an AKA registered Golden Retriever and if you are looking for Golden Retrievers you're going to have to go look for a breeder not too many people will let go of a golden retriever they're very good family dog
No took one dog in
They'll let you adopt older dogs and cats for free.
see if the manager will let you make payments to pay it off and if not call shelters they will look up places that can help with donations
Don't take him there. Not only do they charge an intake fee, they euthanize.
Yes
Some antibiotics but without blood work to see what the infection is it could make it worse
Sounds like kennel cough. It is contagious. See your vet. My dogs had to get treatment, immunizations, I believe.
They sometimes have an event where on a Saturday they offer $5 shots and microchipping for pets. Go to their Facebook page to find out when their next event might be.
You should call them. Sometimes they can take new dogs, but you need an appointment
They will usually call you back but if you have the documentation and some free time it would probably be better and easier to do it in person...
You can call ahead to set up a time to bring them in. You will have to call to see if there is a fee.
They do take pit bulls. Give them a call to set up an appointment. They are open weekends.
from what i understand cleanup poop, not ro much playing with 🐕 or 😸..
That would be a question to leave on their messaging machine or to go in and ask in person
I That would imagine they do they have a website and you can check what they have available there
If you are interested in Alizabeth then you should tell her.. . Oh a K-9 lol. As far as property goes it sounds great. On a personal level contacy human and they will let you spend some one on one time to see how the Animals 'take' to you. Goodluck and enjoy your new friend
There usally is a shot clinic offered by the NM ASPCA once a month somewhere in Albuquerque it's $5.. Includes shots and microchping!! Look around!!
Get him into the Vet STAT !
They do have a lot of different training classes.
As Yvonne said. As a clinic voulnteer fo a year I have only seen one come in declared. It was a client's, they will not do this unless it is medically needed for a quality life.
I don't think we are taking about the same dog Jax was a male dog and he didn't have no coccidia. We ask if he had health issues the day before. She said let the dogs meet each other then the kids can meet. . . Well guess what? She didn't let my kids have the chance it wasn't cause of any reason other then the fact that she didn't want us to have him
Sundays and Wednesdays you can buy cat litter for 50 cents a gallon at the same place they help with food for low income
Hi I am a Clinic voulnteer at the main center. Have not seen one come through our section. But please come down and check out all the wonderful dogs we do have.
Give them a call Thu do appointments and if they are clear sometimes they can do same day
They have a low cost clinic for those with income below a certain dollar amount. You have to call mo day through Thursday to get an appointment. It takes a minute to navigate the digital system, but, stick with it. It's worth it.
It is but I'm not sure if this is a service they provide.
If you found the puppy and do not want it to be euthanized. You will need to call the Animal Humane Society and set up an appointment to surrender the pup. There will be no fee as long as its not legally yours. For those who own there pets and wish to surrender them, there is a 45 dollar fee that follows, worth it! Great place to adopt and ensure pets that deserve a good home, get one.
They do offer vet services but I dont think they have emergency services. You should call for details and to schedule an appointment.
I have been there several times and never seen birds for adoption
