If you cant find what you're looking for with Animal Humane, try another local rescue. There has been a huge increase in the number of husky/malamutes coming out of Roswell Animal Control. Local rescues need adopters to save these dogs from being euthanized. You can save a life and get the breed you're looking for. And fostering is always an option with rescues too! There are quite a few in NM. A Barking Chance, Watermelon Ranch, FORA, and more. All with facebook pages.
