As Yvonne said. As a clinic voulnteer fo a year I have only seen one come in declared. It was a client's, they will not do this unless it is medically needed for a quality life.
No! Declawing is cruel because it cuts off the entire end joint of their paws. Scratching posts do keep them off furniture. You can also put nail tips on cats. Most vets don't do the procedure anymore

Actually you can get your cats declawed but you have to make sure and keep them inside because they can't protect themselves.
