A great place to watch a launch. Just saw the Space X launch. There are bleachers and port o potties.
Joshua Broomfield
Love the spot, you may even see some dolphins whilst watching a launch!
Mitchell Eilts
Great viewing location right outside the KSC entrance. Just know that for launches they do not let people park or observe until a specified time before the launch for security purposes so plan accordingly.

The location is awesome. The "help" (USSF Police, local police) are misinformed, rude, and cause more problems than they fix. A different answer from each, and none are correct. (PS guys, this is a public venue.) (Port Security was awesome and knowledgeable.)

Yep, there are gators. Just don't wear flip flops or sandles. Rocks and glass may be a hazard. Most of us out there are a bunch of nerds and we take pictures and film. We don't bite. Gators and snakes do. Worst you will see in the crowd is the locals who step out and have a full on tail gate party. Beer please?
No reservation is necessary but you should try to get there early since the Artemis launch will attract a lot of viewers.
We were there for the Solar Orbiter launch on Feb 10, an 11pm launch. Well managed location with people managing parking. Got there 45 minutes early, thought it would be packed but crowd was light. There are bleachers, but if I could drive, I would bring comfortable chairs to setup near water. Dolphins were swimming very near shore. Did not see alligators, but I'm sure they saw me. Was an awesome night launch, could see booster drop off. Don't let a camera ruin the moment. If you have to, make sure you have critical focus and setup camers so there is no focusing, aperture, shutter speed to mess with. Setup on tripod so all you have to do is press a button. Don't miss a second of the event because of a camera! (don't be like me)
Site will not be closed due to debris concerns, but may be reserved for SpaceX or NASA use. I recommend Jetty Park, nearby, for a nearly identical view; parking usually costs $15 for non Brevard county residents.
It's a 2-hour window. If there are no issues it will go on time. If there are issues they have the rest of the window to correct them and try to get the launch off.
Yeah I mean this is America isn't it?
Anywhere along the coast. A1A is great for beach views
You can use a bike but traffic and Highway speeds would put you on alert. Not sure if you could park at Grills and bike from there... should take a quick trip to plan for launch day.
It was busy and they limit parking to between 150 and 160 cars. Once it's full they have to turn people away. You do get a direct view of Artemis 1 on the pad though.
We came 3 hours early and there was plenty of room. Bring your own chair.
This place is always open. It is located right in the middle of both launch places so you should be able to see it. There are seats available, but also there is plenty of space if you want to take your own beach chair or picnic blanquet with you. Its safe and secure, police is also present on every launch to guide the trafic.
I've been to quite a few launches here, both day and night. Dogs are welcome, on a leash. We've encountered quite a few friendly ones!
It should be, it us a public place that is usually open.
This exact location is not currently open to the public. We tried to go to this location on April 23rd and police had it blocked off.
Inside ksc property must be baged to enter
No. The cops came and rousted us all out of there.
Usually, yes. Bring hand santizer because it usually runs out.
Did you go there then? Was it open at night?
Anywhere along 528 by Cape Canaveral or A1A in Titusville.

You need to do some research. 528 Causeway may be a possibility, the Max Brewer Bridge in Titusville, Jetty Park if you have an annual pass. The beach. But you need to get to where you choose early. The last attempt a few days ago, the news reported that by 10:30 most spots where full. And that was on a weekday.
Also there may be traffic entering the base at that time I would arrive 45 min or so early but watch launch updates for launch delays timing etc.
Definite launch windows and times are not set until the launch is closer (normally a couple weeks). Other than that, any other times that are released are NET (no earlier than) appoximations and thus are subject to change. The launch itself is subject to change because of weather. My reccomendation would be to monitor the launch through SpaceX's twitter and through a rocket launch app. It can be hard to accurately know if the rocket is gonna launch that day or not.
The FL-401 Rocket Launch location is free also.
There's plenty of parking at that time. You'll enjoy it!
Yes, but if you keep going towards the CCAFS right before the gate you can park, and watch it. Just tell them you're there for the launch.
Best spot absolutely. Bring chair and mosquito repellent 😄
None of the other answers are correct. For starters, 401 is now heavily restricted, and only a small lot is available for parking; once that fills up, people will be turned away. Falcon Heavy launches are extremely popular, and many people are coming in from out of town to attend, especially as this is the first night launch (referring to the launch on 24 June 2019 at 11:30 pm). You would do well to get to whatever viewing location you choose as early as possible. Do note that there are no amenities at 401: bring water, bug spray, and a smartphone to keep up with launch updates via social media. As a backup, if 401 is full or unavailable, consider Jetty Park, Cherie Down Park, or one of the many spots on US 1 in Titusville that offer a coastal view. Good luck with your launch viewing journey!
Depending where you choose to watch. Most people at night launches like the one coming up prefer parking on the side of the road and getting as close to spacex launch site. So that would be tough. If it's a day launch then yes. Just go to the Cape
If you park on the side if the road further up it should be fine. 3 am usually isn't crowded, but with this specific launch I'm not sure.
Yes. That public viewing area is just an open strip of land on a river bank outside of the Air Force Station entrance. Bring chairs or a towel. Also, bring something to drink and a snack- you could be there for several hours.
Yes it is just need to get there early to find a spot on the grass before you go through the check point.
Usually it's closed but because it's a night launch the masses will be probably less and you can try and ask the guards onsite if they let you go there.
