I’ve tried calling them several times and still no answer. Trying to call again today. Hoping for an answer.

This is a wonderful place where I have adopted animals from before. They have a great mission and truly care about their animals. The only issue is that they have to be very selective with the animals they accept because they are a no kill shelter. I really appreciate that they are a no kill shelter but I wish they didn’t have to be so selective! Also, I understand, but I wish they would let people visit the animals that aren’t looking seriously to adopt. I miss going to visit them!

Very nice and quick place to get in and out also very clean in there no smell like dogs and cats
Donna Phillips
The staff was so pleasant & helpful. The area was very clean.

If the Humane society turns you away, go to Greenville Animal Care. They talk all animals, including strays and will work to find a new home. They are working to become a no-kill shelter.
Animal control or local police station
Not right now. Keep an eye on the website for adoptable animals because you never know what might come along. They don't do free adoptions though.
So just dropped my dog off. THEY DO NOT take care credit sad days
We recently adopted another cheweenie. He's so cute!! And adores my husband.
I think so but u could always call
They won't keep an animal like that. They'll find the animal a new home
Whatever you do dont take it to the pound . I recently went there abd yes they take care of the dogs . But its not a place for any dog much less a dog that is mixed with pit. Try to find a home for it.
Any animal shelter there are a bunch in Greenville, only one in anderson.
Yes they do dont know how much they do need care for about a week after so they don't get infection or rip stitches
I'm sure they were just busy upfront !! The hours on Google are normally right !!! Sorry if this didn't help !!
I personally don't but if you call their number im sure they will assist you. Our prayers are with you and your furry one. 🙏🏾
You have to make an appointment either call or make the appointment on their website. Drop off time is 7-8 or 7:30-8:30 a.m. pick up is 4 or 4:30-5:30.p.m
I can give the number 864 242 3626 they will explain better hope that can help you
$195 for puppies and kittens and $65 or specials ran on adult animals :) or you can foster to make sure its the right fit first. I just got finished fostering and I adopted my puppy baby Saturday!! Good luck
It will cost either close to or right at $64. They are great with animals. My wife and I took our cat and had him fixed and they did a great job and were very nice
Try Greenville Humane Society
Don't know. Look at their website that changes daily.
They have them in cages so you can see them. You pick one and they take you and the animal in the bonding room for bout 15 minutes.
They have limited space, so you should go to Greenville Animal Care, the government funded shelter, who have to take in spays.
No
They accept both.
Agreeing with Fiona on all answers.
50$ to surrender Also I can't get near it, it's scared! I can't imagine how it feels!
I don't think they do, but the best thing to do is call them on the phone, and ask them to make sure..
Greenville animal care does its 200 to put them down 75 for communal cremation and 200 if you want ashes returned
From my understanding its the one by cherrydale that does cremations..
Appointment, unless you are bringing a feral cat in a trap for the community cat spay/neuter program. Feral cats can be brought in (in a trap) from 7:30 am to 10 am. Check the website for more info.
Probably best you call them and ask directly.
The Humane Society is a full service pet clinic.
The collars start at $4.00 & The pain meds are included with the procedure, you'll get 3 tablets of the pain meds. My personal opinion about the collar is it can cause more issues and harm your pet. Your pet will lick but, you'll be able to monitor and stop the licking.
You could do an owner surrender at the Greenville humane society but you have to make an appointment first. And they don't guarantee that they will accept them just because they make you an appointment. For example if there's any significant health problems, diseases or if they're very old.
You can put them up for adoption and it don't cost nothing but they do anything else they going to charge you
It's $65 for female, $10 kitten shots, $5/$10 on Rabies depends on the special.
Yes they do
Definitely just go to the location to make inquiry on any specials. It makes it far easier than trying to get someone on the phone.
It's more like a petstore those prices to find a home
You have to go there. They will no answer the phone. I have no idea why, but this has consistently been the case.
I haven't seen him but will be looking for him!
Yes I think it's like $75. You first have to set an appointment and basically "interview" before you they'll accept an animal.
I'm sorry but I don't know if there is a vet on site.
I have had my cat and my dog both spayed, neutered and shots given and they were WONDERFUL! The Greenville human society is like no other - they are awesome!
You pay for all their vacs and neuter or spade and relocation fee when adopting.
I believe so. They are in dire need for the animals and are very grateful for donations. I would say as long as the whole werent to large.
Yes they take in strays. Call them and leave a message
Call them and get an appointment. I am sure they will help.
Pretty certain it's the 2nd building in the back, not the first building closest to the road.
Whatever their price is all that you have to pay. They run specials on adult animals sometimes so the price is not always right.
Summer, they seem to have few puppies almost every other day but the first thing you must do is call and make an appointment to see any puppies they have. There is no guarantee that what you see available on their website will still be available for adoption when your appointment comes around. As we were told two weeks ago when we went to adopt a puppy, it's "first come, first served." They will not hold a puppy for you nor will they accept a deposit on one. Here is their website but again, call and make an appointment if you are truly interested. https://www.greenvillehumane.com/
They have a spay/neuter clinic. Drop off in morning, pick up in evening. I just brought in a male feral, $35. I brought in a female feral this week, $45.
Yes, they will, graciously, accept them.
I don't think they will take it, but contact them & ask for Katie Wisser. She is the intake coordinator & she fosters animals. She could probably use it.
Contact shelter & ask to speak to Katie Wisser. She's the adoption councler at the shelter & she also fosters animals.
Honey I'm really not sure. But to all that really want a pet they have some other dogs not puppies that really need a good home. I have 4 furbabies and they r getting older that's when I can rescue a poor lost soul
If you are surrendering your pet, I think it may cost $25.
Yes
They have to get classified as a support animal from the ESA before you can register them after that all you'll need is the paper work
You can fill out an application to volunteer on their website
Spartanburg Humane Society has low income vet pricing. Try them.
They do but it's only on one day of the month I believe, check their website to find out for sure.
Greenville Humane has stringent screening for intakes. If your dog had a history of violent/biting behavior, they won't take it. Your best bet may be a breed specific rescue where it may have a chance to be retrained. Otherwise, most places will euthanize it immediately if they find out it has an aggressive temperment.
Why not call and ask. That way if they can't take in your sick one maybe they can find someone else to help!
I'm looking for a full-blooded Chihuahua Christopher a male but will take a female my name is Judy I had one and went to heaven now I'm all alone I lost my best friend
The company that has the microchip registered should be able to help with that
The best place to find hounds for adoption is Pickens Humane Society. There across from Pickens Prison.
That may be a question you ask greenville humane.
Shannon is right call them and they will tell u
Don't know if you can access online, I am sure you can call to re-verify.
Are you crazy.¿.
I'm not really sure, but I think they might. Sorry
Their website has any kittens listed, but with spring coming, if they don't now they will soon!
Yes, it is humane. We have had to go through the experience twice. You will need to contact the Humane society for the answer as to cost if they offer the service.
Well that's contradicting
Take them away.
Depends on if any issues are present. Assuming everything is good to go then as soon as all information is entered into the system. If worms or anything are present then that's a different story.
https://www.greenvillehumane.com/make-a-donation/
Yes, they will see any pet, regardless of where you got them.
I believe so their website should have have link for services provided
They are a rip off
Yes try 411 information AT and T
Probably better to go in person
I would make sure that the number is right. If so and you still get no answer. Stop by and see if they are open
Yes if its fixed.
No u could do it on line I think but u have application
I am not sure if they are offering the canine flu vaccination, you will probably have to contact them directly. Local veterinarians office will have it.
I don't know but i would call them on Monday and ask
Concerned citizens for animals may take him.
It needs medical attention fast take it back they should have to pay for the treatment. They are supposed to get them checked out before adoption.
I believe they have their own little clinic there because when I inquired about my dog being in heat they said we can stay her even if she is in heat. Great people they handle a huge workload I promise you I've been in there several times. They work very hard and have to face a lot of adversity I think with the animals
Take it to the vet. They have one at tbe Humane society, otherwise take it to Greenville Animal Care, which also has affordable care. Or, return it to where you got it.
Yes
Concerned citizens for animals fosters animals. I have said many times airport rd does not accept animals. If you took her to poinsett hwy you should have made arrangements
No, that is Greenville County Animal Care. They have free Big Dog adoptions at Big O Dodge today.
You have to call and make an appointment. To take them in
You can go on their website and all the rules are listed as to ages for volunteering, but i think it starts at 14 we get all different breeds you just have to come and look around if you are looking for something specific 😊
Go to Humane Society's website there you will find the prices for services
Make sure you take the pet TO YOUR vet within 24-48 hours after you adopt.
I know they have volunteer.
Check at the Pleasantburg location for adoption or Concerned Citizens for Animal
Think you have to wait a few more weeks b4 shots tho usually 3 months old right?
Try Greenville county animal care. They have low income assistance and for people on assistance or disability. You do need to provide proof, and also call ahead and make am appointment.
Greenville Humane society website set price for Under 25 lb. & over 16 weeks $60.00. Vaccines must be up to date. They gave my male puppy his distemper vaccine when he was neutered.
No but Animal Care used too. There is a website called Pettango that has all animals with different a agencies based on distance from your location that had the animals you are looking for. Breed rescues included. That is one way to find purebreds at the local shelters like the humane society or Animal Care.
They wont help with resp infection but they have a spayed program based on your income.
You can have some basic care done at this facility.
Probably however my pup had an umbilical hernia and it was only $50 extra others $300 morethan that
Not here.look at the shelter off of poinsett hwy
Why don't you mind your own business. Animal Control cannot do anything if the animal has adequate food, water and shelter.
If you are searching for a specific breed there is a website called PetTango that lets you put in the breed, where you live and it will bring up all those dogs based on distance from your location where you can adopt them.
Look on their website or call them. No one on Google guides can tell you what dogs are currently available there.
Yes. As previously mentioned, the website tells their greatest need. You can also sign up for mailings and they will send out donation envelopes.
Yes. Call to schedule and they will give you pricing details.
Be sure that you don't mind a mixed breed as you have no idea what it will grow up to be. We learned that the hard way.
Lucky Puo Rescue has lots of puppies. Look at Laurens countu animal shelter. 2 adorablr pups dropped there yrsterday.
Maybe that will work with u
I know Greenville Animal Care gives a discount to families on government assistance such as EBT, Medicaid and Medicare, they ask me at the end Everytime I take my animals for something. You just have to show proof of assistance for the discount.
My suggestion is to call around different shelters !!
You can visit the Humane Society's website to see all animals that are waiting to be adopted. :)
Check the website or call the facility for specifics on available pets. Google Map questions do not go to the Humane Society, they are answered by the public.
If there on your property, an killing your livestock do what you have to do!I live in rual area I completely understand
You usually have to pay medical bills be sure to keep your dog on a leash.
To not Mickael Vick them and keep them in your yard.
Laws vary according to what county you live in. In my county a dog cannot be removed from a secure property. Notices will be left, animal contrtol officers are REQUIRED to leave a notice on your door, explaining why your dog was taken, where your dog is being held, and for you to claim it by a certain time (here is 1 week) or they will either out it up for adoption or destroy it. But like I said.....even barking or vicious dogs, when kept securely in your own yard and unable to get out, ...animal control cannot take them. That being said...hostile neighbors have been known to let dogs out of someones yard and then call animal control to pick up a so-called 'stray dog. THEN animal control will take the dog and the neighbor lies and says they don't know it's owner.....so the animal control officer can't leave you a note. I hope you find a way to get your dog back.
They CAN take in your cat, but you will need to make an appointment with them to surrender him.
Go to your vet for euthanasia. GHS is a no-kill shelter.
For strays, you should contact Greenville County Animal Care.
CALL them first. They will guide you through the process. It it not difficult at all. Be careful...in the phone book they have phone numbers for both Greenville shelters. This one is a NO-KILL shelter & the other is a KILL 'shelter'.
foster paws is a local cat focused rescue. you should try them if you are in an unforgiving situation. best of luck to you. there are not any real no kill shelters in greenville, because they dont have any good adoption programs. evwn thisnplace trades dogs they cant adopt out, for ones that are easier to adopt out.... WITH KILL SHELTERS. it isnt that difficult to get out there on the weekends and proactively get your animals homes. they just fail to run an effectove program. ie; if your animals are not where families shop and play on the weekends, how do you expect to get them a home? /genius
Yep...they need all that stuff. Even any old towels or blankets too. And dog food. They really need anything you can give them. On another note, while its sad your dog passed away.... maybe you could adopt or foster another dog. If you don't want to commit to adopt... fostering is a huge help to animal rescues. It saves more animals if they can be fostered. It is healthier for their sanity too. I think of your dog knew you did it he would be happy you opened yourself& your home to another animal in need.
Not certain either, but have heard same. Had a friend get dog from here that was sick&they were not helpful at all. Told her can return&pick another, but will not pay for vet charges. Thought that was a pretty crappy response. Ended up getting a rescue to help with vet bills that were over $1000 by the time it was over
They run specials, when they are getting overwhelmed with animals you just have to keep check, they had baby special so if they were so old it was only $20 to get fixed or spayed I believe they have web site with info
Call them. I'm sure they are, they got lots of animals that need homes, don't miss many opportunities to find them a home.
If you turn in your dog, there will be a $25 owner surrender fee. You can go through the admissions department and they will re-home the dog and give it medical care there at the shelter.
