They run specials, when they are getting overwhelmed with animals you just have to keep check,they had baby special so if they were so old it was only $20 to get fixed or spayed I believe they have web site with info
We adopted a stray kitten that was hanging around our house-we weren't sure what to do so we took the kitten to GHS and they were very organized and helpful. We paid about $38 for first round of shots and flee/tick ointment. I'm not sure how it works with adopting pets that are already at the humane society, but if the shots are already taken care of, you would be ahead. In any event, the price for services at the humane society are lower than at a pet store.
