I've tried to get in since 5 am today, called and was referred to an outreach officer whom I woke up on his day off. He was kind but couldn't assist due to the holiday. I call PH back & the lady on the phone was nothing but rude and asked me if was I done talking yet, I was getting nowhere so I hung up and called back an hour later hoping her mood had changed but nope, she insulted me and refuses me a number for an on duty outreach officer....She needs training in Human Services from a college. As a former HUS student under Dr. Kerr at SP College this is pitiful if that's the best you can do; and her attitude frankly sucks. I'll try elsewhere after 3 failed attempts in 8 hours and with her as THE point of contact got me nowhere after hours of calling. Happy Memorial Day, get further training. I'll find another local resource.

The staff was amazing and so appreciative in accepting our donations. They really are a blessing to their clients who have so little. God bless you all

Spent a Sunday afternoon volunteering with or church and was amazed at how well run and clean and just amazing Pinellas Hope is. The Archdiocese of St Pete’s support here is the living witness of the Spiritual and Corporal works of Mercy.

Call officer rich Or sheriff harding
Yes, absolutely. They have a clothing closet that anybody that lives there can go there twice a week and get whatever they need. Underwears, socks, clothing, shoes, purses, backpacks etc. Just go to the office, which is in the front, and let them know that you would like to donate some clothes. They will do the rest, and make sure that they get to the people who desperately need them, its as simple as that. God bless you for helping out your fellow man. 😇
That's awesome, Bless ur heart :)
Oh yes I remember ms Sheila Lopez was theif
Cottages are free..apartments in the back are based in income..and theres a 7 minth waiting list..u must luve in a tent first before they move u to an apartment in the back..you first have to qualify for apartments in the back
Hi Pamela, thanks for letting me know what happened. Good job! 🤣. They have a covered deck outside upfront with lots of tables and chairs. It's their make shift cafeteria where all the homeless eat. So, in answer to your question, YES. They always can use them. Good luck and God bless you mightily. Your a wonderful person
I'm sorry I can't help you in this field I'm just a tenant here but there are other organizations that could probably help you fun d housing that would probably be more suitable you try going to the Catholic Charities Church and see if the bishop would be willing to help you with this project that's the best I can do to help you like I said there are other organizations out there they're probably be more suitable good luck
Resident
Besides shelter, they offer a place to get your GED classes, they offer mental health. The sad thing is that intake is not until Wednesday. So I would recommend this, if you are in St Pete and you have access to a phone call The nonemergency number of the St Pete police and tell them your situation and they should be able to get you in contact with the homeless liaison officer (officer Rich) and he should be able to have some ideas where you can go. Please be safe out there.
You can go right in the front door, staff and/or volunteers will help after that. 🙏🙏
Yes, absolutely they will. But understand there is zero tolerance for any drug or alcohol use. Constant arguments/fighting with your boyfriend or girlfriend may get you discharged as well. Please understand the program is set up for people who are striving to improve their lives. By finding gainful employment & saving money for housing.
There is a sort of a Veteran caseworker here that helps in Pinellas that might be able to help with guidance counselor resource center, ect. Call or email about the best way possible that you could have
Yes. Please do.
It's a safe place as long as you don't mind a lot of religious prodding
Honestly not sure sorry
Liz, Safe Harbor will only allow people who have been in jail. Believe me, when I was homeless 2 years ago I begged them to let me in. But because I'd never been to jail I couldn't have a safe place to stay.
Mandy
Intake days are tuesday.. All pinellas hope and ask for officer richs phone number..or any outreach officer..call the outreach officer and tell them your situation..they will be able to help u and guide you in the right direction and let u know the requirements for for getting into the shelter..best of luck to YOU..call pinellas hope
Tent, some people for medical etc get the cabin type of place. Possibly job and saving money related. As long as your on an ambitious path it is a great program to help during desperate times of need.
Sorry I don't. Try calling Pinellas Hope or the Sheriff office
Tuesday's are intake day. Best to get in contact with a community outreach from your area. Call non emergency police and they will give you a name and number to contact. But, on Tuesdays at 8am show up at the gate. There are no real qualifications. All situations can be discussed and usually they work with you. There is no waiting list for Pinellas Hope 1, it is living in a tent. You can find the phone number to the front desk online. They don't give much more information than I've already told you. Good luck!
No you don't have to be
As long as u are abiding by the rules,u can stay up to 6 months or more..they will also help u get a Florida license
You can go on Tuesday's at 7:00 a.m. must have ,ID. You will be in a line. Intake takes 4-5 hour's call Officer Rich 441-5103

No family
She has to contact a community outreach officer usually in the police department of your city
You don't under stand they help anyone
As long as u pay to get the service dog paper certificate an u have current up to date vet records... You should be fine
Yes. Mostly men's clothes. They also need towels to be cut up into rags blankets and sheets.
Noone under 18 allowed. You have to call st.pete police departments homeless outreach number and get on list by 12 on Tuesday's to go in for registration on Wednesdays at 7am. You can NOT JUST WALK IN. YOU HAVE TO REGISTER. otherwise there's usually room for any adults who are registered by noon on Tuesdays.
Try Pinellas hope and if she has any income she can qualify for a appointment (it's like a super long house with 8 individual small 1 bedroom, living room, dining area, kitchen, and bathroom .it's in Clearwater
This is the absolute truth
I used the GPS on my phone, but is not too far off Missouri Ave. and Court. I missed the street the first time I was looking. You have to turn and then turn again quickly. There is a gate, but I just parked and walked up to the office.
Do not go here unless not paying rent for 90 days helps you. They don't care about anyone like they used to. If you do want to go, you have to call your police station in your city and ask for an outreach officer. Also, you must have lived in Pinellas County the last 6 months.
Sorry was just dropping some one off that needes a ride
7275803552 These #'s are for Pinellas hope and Deputy Harlon hope this helps. 7275566397
Are you talking about the tents or the apartments?
No you would have to park the camper and live in a tent.
Yes
You have to move into the tents first. Then, prove your progress, fill out an application, get on a waiting list, and then sign a lease to pay a third of your income. I probably won't make it past the tents.
Please call them
I'm not sure if u can't come here for a night.try calling the shelter
Yes but Tuesday am. Try hep clearwater
Yes...6 or so showers for men. 4 for women. Laundry facilities available 24-7.

There is a curfew. 10p.m. Sun through Thursday . Midnight Friday and Saturday. There is a work sign out sheet .
Well pinellas hope is not a ritzy place but it can give you some stability and if you have any problems with your health ,you could get a cottage here ,come here on Tuesday and be here at least by 7 am in the morning and fill out some papers ,the only thing is dont have drugs or alcohol in your system cause if you have either yiu will be denied and you will have ti wait at least 30 days ti try again the address is 5726 126th Avenue north off of 49 th street in Clearwater, good luck to you miss
Bus is a 3-5 minute ride then one mile down 124th? If you are on the Homeless Outreach list they Del provide transportation from SH to PH. Check with them.
You can also do it online, Go to this website and then select your city https://www.hud.gov/states/florida/renting/hawebsites
They do help with trying to get you into school but Every thing there is a long process so be ready to wait. Not sure about grants but they do have applications for help with housing. Not gonna lie though its rough there
Yes they di help in getting you housing or assistance through section 8 you have to initiate the proceedings for them to do it in other words you have to ask them about it
You can save your checks.😉 case worker will work with you Check in early Tuesday. But call and talk to them. Let. Me know if I can help.
No if they have room you all can share a tent
According to availability some residents may be given a bike. Usually a person becomes eligible to receive a bike after they have found a job and again, only if there is one available. Non-residents are not given bikes.
Do they take families
There are, but you have to do the legwork to utilize the resources.
On the phone or in person
There is a bus stop a mile down from pinellas hope..126th av is a mile long, from 49th st to front gate is 3/4 of a mile..long walk
Yes they can help you where are you guys located?
Only if the pet has a service dog. Its different from a emotional.
Your job you will have to make arrangements by bus or something. They can probably help to get you to an interview. Yes you must speak with officer Rich or one the other homeless intervention people. Look through the questions and answers you will find their number there or call 211
1030 during the week 12 weekend.but they wouldn't know if you there or not
Tuesday is intake day.You need to pass a drug test ,background check,no violent crimes, and pass a breathalyzer..intake starts at 8am.but first come firsr serve..good luck to YOU
Yes they can take it but not sure if they can pick up
Who, call the office, !
It begins at 8am ensure you speak with the homeless outreach individuals to help you get in
Call and see, not sure?
They won't pay for it..u have to go to the methadone clinic in high point in the morning to get your dose..but Pinellas hope will not cover the cost of the doses
Yes, they just need to know about it. You have to pass a drug test to get in. But, let them know about your meds.
No but they hold on to the meds and have med call several times a day
I think so
Hi Charles, yes, this is a shelter. They will help you get back on your feet again. This is a Catholic charities organization, so they don't charge you for anything. Good luck, & God Bless ♥️
Go to Mt. Zion Church @1625 Union Street, Clearwater Florida ask for Miss Betty: She will get you a book Bag!!
You can go to a salvation army thrift store and do that to and you also can go to a goodwill thrift store also and there are quit a few churches that will help you also just have to find a few that do
Try Pinellas Hope on Tuesday intake get there early. Try HEP on Monday morning. St. Vincent DePaul.
Yes they have open beds available.but intake is on Tuesday only. And yes you can have a dirty urine.i had cocaine in my system when I came but thay will make you see a substance abuse counselor 4 6 weeks
The front office is open 24 hours a day but anytime during the day time would be better
Thank you Cathleen. It's so hard not knowing but he told a friend to let me know he was there. I want to come to see him.
They have tents and they have trailers that are up front to but in those yiu have to have special needs if I'm correct but my advice to you is to try to find another shelter to stay at I've been here for 4 yrs now and it's getting worse each year cause it's not about clients no more it's about the money they are screwy in the mind now sorry to spoil your mind but I'm letting you know the damn truth of the matter
No children or pets
Get there early on Tuesday is intake like 7am. Bring your ID and anything you have for that. You sleep there go to work save your money and find apartment.
Come to Pinellas hope they have new take in every Tuesday called first
Billy is correct you also need to get in touch with an Outreach officer so you'll need to call the front desk and get the number
Yes. But if u have kids under 18 no. It's a great place I was there from July to November. Now I have my own place. Good luck
Check-in is on Tuesday and you have to get in touch with a Outreach officer first I suggest call the front desk
Wal-Mart has a 3 day overnight parking.
Where can a person find a place to sleep in their truck without being harassed and or told to move around here because everywhere i go get told we cant park there
Tents then cottages.
Yes handicapped accessible
You can go to PINELLAS Hope. They have intake on Tuesdays at 8am. Yiu will be allowed to stay together. You may have to go through an outreach officer to be brought in. They will require a drug test, if you are not clean they may give you the opportunity to clean up while you are accepted. But after that they may do random testing. You can go to Safe harbor, but will not be allowed to stay together. You don't have to give them urines but they have strict curfews and rules. Hope this helps. To get the number for an outreach officer just call PINELLAS Hope.
Amen Elizabeth!! Get somewhere safe fast!!
Yes. Intakes her on Tuesdays call Pinellas hope front desk and they'll give you the number for an Outreach officer
I heard you can call to schedule a pick up for the following Tuesday and they come and get you and your stuff.
Call and talk to the front desk and get the outreach officer name and phone number..its easier to get in with a referral from outreach officer then just to show up..
They do allow dogs you would have to call them to find out rules regarding pets
No.intakes are on Tuesday.call the front desk to get in touch with an outreach officer
No
Pinellas hope is a sober living facility. No minors.
For pinellas hope you cannot get in without Officer Rich Outreach Officer. He works with Pinellas hope. They usually help you with getting your important docs such as birt records, etc.
Get phone number to Pinellas hope they accept on Tuesday so called to see who you need to speak to and go from there
They say 3 months, but it you follow all the rules, work hard, and do what your supposed to there really isn't a set time one would have to leave. I would not recommend staying there In the heat of the summer. Heat stroke is a major concern.
No
Go to resource officer w/local police department. They can direct you to places THAT except children under 18. Pinellas Hope does not.
Yes they help based on individual needs
From what I can remember yes they do. They do intake on Thursday early morning. However you can call the office anytime during the week
Am afraid you might come and cause trouble as far as x boyfriend is involved. And if you ate not homeless please don't take away this opportunity from the one homeless that will need that place more than yourself. Thanks
Yes but be truthful about it and do not show up again with alcohol on your breath and make sure you be able to pass a drug test
I don't understand, can you explain it a little better?
Call 211 or the Pinellas Hope contact number and they will give you directions and instructions.Intakes are on Tuesday only
They accept walkins on Tuesday or Thursday
Yes We except blankets, gloves, comforters
No it doesn't cost anything to stay here and you have up to 3 months if you follow the rules and do what you're supposed to and look for work or apply for your disability or whatever it is you're doing you get a chance to stay longer but it's only 3 months if you don't do what you're supposed to
I really don't think any charges are really considered as long as you are handling what you're supposed to be handling I believe that as long as when you come in on the intake day they will do a drug and alcohol test to make sure that that is not in your system because that is not allowed absolutely not there really isn't anything to keep you from being able to stay here to get on your feet except for the fact of making sure you do what you're supposed to
Yea
Well if you can stand to live in a tent then you'll be fine
I lived there about 4 years ago. 8t was pretty lame they didn't really help at all. They just get government funding for people staying there and kick you out after 3 months or charge you rent to sleep in the donated tents. Keep the library hot as hell and the heat runs you out the tent at 7 am. Rains allot too
