Liz, Safe Harbor will only allow people who have been in jail. Believe me, when I was homeless 2 years ago I begged them to let me in. But because I'd never been to jail I couldn't have a safe place to stay.
Please contact the Pinellas county Sheriff Dept main number.. ask for the homeless liason officer. Tent City takes new residents on Tuesdays, generally thru sheriff's office. We also have safe harbor that accepts all the time, I believe
Yes only by referral now- you can get one through Officer Rich or a homeless outreach person such as Karen Main from HEP (homeless empowerment program)
No you have to go on Tuesday morning to get in that is the best place to go to.
You have to go through the police or 211 now. Only referrals are allowed in. We have room though.
