My daughter loved going to camp here!! Not only do they provide a safe environment, but they made sure the kids did various activities to keep them busy. Some of those included making tie die shirts, making teddy bears, having safety lessons, swimming, Kona ice to name a few. Everyday my daughter was excited to go to camp and made my workdays easier knowing she was having a great time!

I would really like it if the YMCA could get with the program already and have lightning protection for pool. Time and time again I have come to get my fix and I have to cut it short because they saw some lightning, making them have to close the pool. Like come on people.

Nonsense!! My Son and his friend went to just go work out for a bit. My Son's friend had a guest pass, but they said they needed a parent. Fine, I went there just for them to tell me b/c they are under the age of 18 I need to stay with them. They are 14 and we are right around the corner. I do believe this facility really needs to revisit its policies. The Y is SUPPOSED to be a safe place our kids can go and play.

They have classes. You can go to their website. Best thing for shorter term classes is to call them and see what's coming up.
There are some classes that attract mostly seniors but, as far as I know everything that the YMCA offers is available to Silver Sneakers members. The biggest benefit that I see to Silver Sneakers is that your insurance may cover the cost of your membership. Your level of participation is completely up to YOU.
Anyone at the front desk can give you information about the Silver Sneakers program and help you register. It is more than one class.
Yes
You can take kickboxing classes theres a gym but if you wanna kickbox you take classes but there is some punching things like that
It depends whether your membership is a St. Pete only membership or an Association membership. The Association memberships allow you to use any YMCA in the country. Yes to visitors...for 3 days.
Yes, I've used it as recently as 2 weeks ago.
I'm a senior so my insurance has "Silver Sneakers"which makes my membership free
They don't have overnight accommodations at this location, that I'm aware of.
Hot tubs are open but you have to make reservations everything else open
Try running 7 miles on a treadmill with a mask and you've probably got an answer to your question.
It's best to go in or call for more information. This is a great summer program.
A family pass for the branch is only 60$ a month!
What time is the silver sneakers class ?
Yes and the membership is good for as long as you set it for. 3months, 6 months, 1year
They have a nice indoor pool. 12-15 lanes either lap swimming or there are several water aerobic classes, learn to swim classes for kids and adults too.
Silver Sneakers its a part of your insurance...it pays for your membership.
The staff is very helpful and willing to accommodate just about any situation. Just let them know which program your family now has and let them know you would like to become a member. They have family discounts.
It's free depending on the membership.
Yes and the price varies according to membership. 40 to 80 I think.
I don't think it depends on membership type. I'm a member of Clearwater YMCA and I regularly use the Bardmoor (St Pete YMCA) location. They call every few months to confirm i'm still a member because the computer systems aren't tied together. Same card gives me access. If you look on St Pete YMCA website, you'll see that you get access to all Tampa Bay YMCA locations including Hillsborough, Pasco, Pinellas, Citrus, and Hernando county. You also get nationwide access at other locations. GO YMCA!
The website will give the kid zone hrs and there is a time limit.Children can come to kid zone twice a day.once in the a.m. before the afternoon break and visit again in the afternoon/evening.The councilors are wonderful.
Yes they welcome Silver Sneakers.
One of my kids went there for swimming lessons at the age of 4, last year. I recommrnd paying a little extra and get one on one lessons with an instructor. Ask for Lisa.
