I loved this little jetport. Returning my rental car was a breeze due to that area’s proximity to the airport. Security didn’t take long at all, and I was able to get to my gate quickly. I even tried one of the massage chairs and enjoyed that.

There is one lactation room right by gate 6. It is spacious but the room has hardly any air circulation and was so hot. It’s a weird set up, you have to turn the light switch on to get the air to blow. The 25mins I was in there pumping I didn’t notice a big difference in cooler air at all. My baby was sweating and so was I.

Very convenient airport with easy access to rental cars. Lots of eating options inside. The best part was a life size Moose on display at the arrivals luggage belt area.

This is a small, clean airport with good amenities and a calm atmosphere. If you have time to kill, be sure to visit the art gallery that’s tucked away. It’s a bit hard to find but well worth the hunt!

Yes, you can do live as well.
Yes, ask for one when you book the flight or when you check in.
Yes by the escalators.
Derek's right. They stopped program months ago.
We fly Southwest, have never had a problem yet.
There are two. One just across the street from baggage claim, and another on the back side of the parking garage
Yes as long as it is solid and if u carry any liquid items it has to be 3oz or less
There is no smoking room that I am aware of..you have to go outside
When I landed I went onto my destination their in Lewiston. They did not ask me anything
I'm not sure, I would call the airport or visit their web site. Some flights might be different than others.
For right now, no, you are fine with a driver's license.
Portsmouth International airport
Speechless on that one, will leave the ladies to answer that one.
Call them or go online, we rate their service, Google has done a terrible job explaining that we only rate their service, sorry
Fresh water??? You meean live? I always pack in dry ice, wrap the cooler w/ tape & check it.
Portland Westbrook Maine, the primary approach to the Portland jet port is over Westbrook
We rate their service but my guess is you could have several nice trips here for the same money
However if you plan on traveling to the country of Georgia, you will need a passport. I'm sure you are referring to the state though. In fact most people have no idea that there's a country with the same name. And as long as you are traveling state to state in the U.S. you don't need a passport. They better not ever change that either. If Georgia (the state) really is changing that law, people need to speak out against that stupid load of you know what.
For short term parking it is $2 per hour. For long term/overnight parking it is $12 per day.
No. Currently the only direct flight on Southwest is to Baltimore, MD.
Yes
I do not know for 100% sure, but when I was there, I saw many people with pets talking to the ticketing agent for their respective airline then going through TSA with a pet.
Yes. Do worry about Covid it's over.
After May 3 2023 realID will be required (deadline extended). Passport always works. see: TSA.gov or DHS.gov
Yes
You'll want to check the hotel website or call them about this.
When I was there last week on Thursday there was a clinic there
Yes, you can fly from Portland to Miami non-stop from PWM
No but most airlines are still requiring masks when flying.
The plane should arrive without delays if the weather is good. I hope you have a fun safe flight.
Yes
American, cape air, delta, elite, frontier, jetblue, southwest, Sun country and United
Yes there's a side road right along the runway you can take photos of planes taking off. If you go inside you should be able to see the planes parked at the gates.
They have a lot of feedback on changing flights and stranding people. You also pay for everything, so what starts cheap adds up and your in a stripped down airplane. No comforts. Up to you if it is worth the gamble and austerity.
They have a covid testing station that offers Rapid testing and three day testing.
Depends on airline but they charge after a certain age
Yes but u must take it out and show them..
No you can't but you can call Mercy hospital and schedule a same day test and you get your results within 24 to 48 hrs.
That time of day give yourself atleast 2 hours to check in and go through T.a.s. security. I try to fly out early morning if I can, last time took me 15 minutes to get to my gate. I got there to early and waited 2 hours to board plane...lol
I suggest just getting the test my wife and I did and it was a pretty simple process.
You may try 1800 371 4771 Or 800 535 5225 I think one of these should help you.
Call the airlines that service this route. Are you flying with the puppy?
Please wear your mask 😷 at all times
The parking building and check in areas are extremely close. The parking building has an elevator that goes to all floors and there is a bridge on the third floor straight to security TSA point. If you checked in online and have no bags then that would likely be the easiest. If you are in need of a wheelchair service there are handicapped parking spots on the third floor right near the skybridge. Talk to the personal there and they should be able to help you out. Good luck.
Not yet.
From Portland,I'd say 4.1/2 to 5 hours tops. Take 295 north to 95 north.
You cannot get past security unless you have a ticket.
Freeze them
Perhaps look at flying out of Boston. There are buses you can take out of Portland to Logan airport for $29 and you may be able to get a cheaper flight that way
I'm not sure. I'm thinkin maybe???? Pretty sure it's probably a small plane. Google flights 2 ?? Going 2
Best to have I.D WITH YOU FOR EVERYONE
Hey Conor ur asking the google community we don't work for the airport, live at the airport and may not be anywhere near there. Call the hotel or airport
Yes, long-term parking
Yes as long as it's a Maine Id we have a grace period
Longterm parking is $12 a day. For that many days it would be cheaper to call an uber driver or taxi to drop you off and pick you up and not leave your car there. Happy travels!
Yes, but pay.
I am not certain.Sorry
Instead of turning left at the airport exit, take the second left for the cell phone lot. Signs mark the area.
Hour and a half before flight time.
1 hr is good enough if you already check-in.
North East Air does which is the private part of the jetport, I would contact them.
There's a couple of places to eat, but no quiet lounge
24 hours
All incoming luggage and pets will be within the incoming baggage area. Pets and Large items are brought in by hand. The door is in the far left hand side of the room next to the airlines offices.
But the shipyard Pub has really good beer in the Portland jetport. Now that's some first class!!
first class depends on the airline and the plane if you're asking if they have a first class lounge the answers no
If you have the time the best thing would be to call ahead of time and fix it or go to the airline desk when you check in. If you booked through your company travel agent you would be best emailing them to change it. It's not a big deal and should be easy to fix but it's probably best to fix it before going through security
If you are asking about parking, then yes. I would recommend the Parknjet at 1000 Westbrook Street Portland, Me. They are a valet service with a shuttle, and they are the same price as the garage at the airport.
depends if domestic or international if domestic under 18 no need for id international needs a passport
yes
Southwest is the only airline direct to BWI but any them can get you there with a connection
Yes
pink lot
https://portlandjetport.org/airlines Click the plus symbol to the right of each airline name to see where they fly to from Portland. American does in fact have a direct flight to Charlotte from Portland.
Parking garage. Long term parking $10-14 a day connected to the terminals. Park and Jet $14 a day with a shuttle to terminal if garage/ lot is full.
That depends on your airline and what ticket you purchased, it has nothing to do with the airport. Take a look at the confirmation email and if you don't see it listed there you can call your airline.
Checked I believe
You'll need to look at individual airlines for flight information; this forum is just for rating the airport itself.
After memorial day. Sometimes in the beginning of June
This forum is just for answering questions about the airport itself; if you're looking for a flight, you'll need to check with the airlines.
Embassy Suites
I stayed at the Doubletree. Close by.
Doubtful. Uber or maybe Mermaid Transportation.
Contact your airline for alternate arrangements
$12 each day
I believe Monday morning
I would get there at 4:00 - 4:30
Go on line
Contact the airline, we only rate their service, google does a terrible job of letting you know this when you click the question button, sorry.
Would it not be better if you contact the airline. Google does a terrible job letting the consumer know that this service just rates the service of the businesses we use. If you want to know about our experience it was the easiest and nicest I've been in on the east coast.
I would search public parking on the internet. It didn't look like a lot to us to choose from and many lots we saw had contracted tow companies. I wouldn't park on the street if it snows they will remove or cover your car up.
$25 for one bag
The jetport does close @1230am security takes 30min or less at most times and TSA is there 3am
$14 a day.
Depends on site is 14/d the satellite lot is 10/day which has a 24hr shuttle to and from https://portlandjetport.org/parking
By school ID I assume you mean a college ID and yes if it has a picture but they would need a second form of ID birth certificate credit card there's a whole long list of things on it it will work if not TSA has alternative methods to verify ID
Size does matter it has to either fit under seat or in the overhead bin it will also count as one of your 2 faa mandated maximum for carry on and yes the icepack needs to be frozen solid
Service dogs
Outside next to the parking garage
You can still use your state license, it was extended again
Ah of course 5 different agencys
Most likely
Are you thinking of Real ID driver's license requirements, rather than a passport? You'll need to check with individual state requirements; many have enacted extensions, so you might not have to rely on additional forms of identification (like a passport) when traveling.
Sure can, find a comfortable spot.
How to Buy Airline Tickets Without a Credit Card | USA Today
Yes in the outside parking....I believe that is the same etrance as the garage
There are currently no red eye flights in and out of Portland Maine
$12 a day
Each airline is different, go to the website and check for fees, we just rate service
No, but there are kiosks with phones with local rental car companies .
Yes, as long as it's within 24 hours of your flight.
If they are not granted by January 22, residents will need a passport to travel on domestic flights. All of this means is that it's still too early to tell whether your driver's license will be a valid form of identification on domestic flights, as the TSA is still reviewing most extension requests.Oct 18, 2017
Check with the airline or airport, we only rate services
There are no direct flights to Stamford but a connection is an option
Cabs are outside baggage pickup, found them to be friendly.
I landed in Portland ME 2 weeks ago, about 11:30PM. I needed a cab from airport to Hampton Inn airport. Cab showed up, WE loaded our luggage, and got in cab. CAB driver was pissed that it was just a short $15 fare. When we got to hotel, refused to take credit card saying his phone is broke. I gave him cash + $5 tip. Still unhappy😣.He popped the trunk, I unloaded the luggage and he took off withows closing the trunk, obviously a nasty cab driver. I think it was a Suburu with a hatchback. The driver was Not from America, spoke poor English. Portland should weed these guys out, not a way to welcome tourists to their city....
You would need to go on-line, we just rate the service.
Depends on if you're leaving the United States
You would have to call the airport or carrier as we just rate the service
No flights go to Presque Isle for passenger service, only "LoganAir", a FedEx feeder company. They only transport cargo. Sadly, you will have to drive up there or have someone fly you up there since there is no passenger service.
Google maps guides can't answer legal questions.
You would need to contact the individual airlines, we just rate the service provided,
You cannot fly there directly, nor you can fly there with a connection. You will need to fly to Charlotte, then drive about 40 minutes up to Mooresville. The cheapest flight there is on JetBlue, it has a stop in New York JFK, then you fly to Charlotte. It's $252 dollars. A nonstop flight will cost around $600 on American.
Unless you've made specific arrangements with the airline you're flying with, no, Portland Jetport does not habe long term luggage storage.
The airport building itself is open 24-7 amd is always staffed with security and Portland police. Everything in the airport (TSA, ticket counters, baggage claim, food vendors, information, etc) are not 24 hours. Ticket counters open at least 2 hours prior to the specific airline's first departure of the day. You would want to contact your airline or the jetport directly if you want an exact time. Baggage claim offices stay open for the different airlines until their last flight of the night has come in. TSA will be open at least 2 hours prior to the first departure of the day and will stay open until the last departure of the day has taken off. For exact times you'll want to contact the airport or TSA directly.
If you park your vehicle in the pick up area/cell phone lot, you must remain with it at all times or it may be ticketed or towed. Tickets issued are issued by the Portland Police department and are valid tickets. You can not leave your vehicle at the baggage claim curb for any length of time at all regardless if you are with it or not. That area is for quick pick up only. If you want to park your vehicle and walk away from it you'll want to park in the garage. It is only $2 per hour.
In post security there is a Burger King by Gate 9 Linda Beans (seafood Resturant) The great American bagel by gate 3
There are many hotels and motels in the area. Directly on the airport property there are 2. • Embassy Suites by Hilton- Portland Maine • Hilton Garden Inn - Portland Jetport In the mall area there are more than I can even think of to name. These are all within 10 minutes of the jetport. • Holiday Inn Express and Suites Sable Oaks • Marriott at Sable Oaks • Fairfield Inn by Marriott • Hampton Inn • Days Inn • Courtyard by Marriott • Econolodge • Double Tree • Homewood Suites • There's a new Hilton property There are also tons of hotels in downtown Portland with is only about 10-15 minutes away.
You need to contact the airline with whom you booked your ticket for exact information. Or you can go to that airline's website. Most airlines allow 1 carry on suitcase and 1 carry on personal item (ie: a purse or small backpack) per person at no charge and the fee for the first piece of checked luggage per person is $25-$35 and goes up from there unless you are a credit card holder with that airline (most allow credit card holders 1 free checked bag) or are a "frequent flyer" on a specific airline and are part of their miles program. Again, for specifics you need to contact the airline you are flying with. My statement is merely general information.
No, you do not "need" a passport to fly domestically (within the United States). However, if you are a Maine resident your license/state ID will no longer be valid for air travel starting early 2018 due to Maine not complying with the Real ID act. At this point, if you hold a Maine license/state ID you will need to also have a passport, passport card, or other federally accepted form of ID in order to fly. This is for all airports air travel.
