Last week i filed for my "real id". I'm leaving Maine to go to Florida before the new year and returning after. If i haven't recieved my hard copy id will i be able to fly to and from with an extended expiration date(papercopy) on old id?

Yes as long as it's a Maine Id we have a grace period
