No, you do not "need" a passport to fly domestically (within the United States). However, if you are a Maine resident your license/state ID will no longer be valid for air travel starting early 2018 due to Maine not complying with the Real ID act. At this point, if you hold a Maine license/state ID you will need to also have a passport, passport card, or other federally accepted form of ID in order to fly. This is for all airports air travel.
So we can still use Driver license now?
