During rattlesnake season it is not unlikely to find a rattlesnake. However, in the event you do see one please let the park manage, park worker, or camp host know so we can move the snake. All rattlesnakes are kept alive but moved outside of the park, all other snakes are merely moved away from public area to a safer area for everyone's safety and happiness.
There are rattlesnakes, but not this time of year. We led a herpetology trip with Oklahoma Academy of Science in September and did not see any over a three day period.
I didn't see any snakes
There are prairie rattlesnakes, but they also have several other non-poisonous species including a Hognose snake that gets mistaken for a rattlesnake. It looks like one, but has no rattles.
It's getting a bit too cold for them. I didn't see any snakes but, I did see a tarantula.
Ok thanks 👍
Be careful where you step if you go off the trails, but the week I was there I didnt see any on the trails.
