There are trees, some big ones, but we were trying to hammock camp and could not at this park.

Trees are scarce. It depends on when you arrive as spots are on a first come basis.

There are some when you get close to the part of the trail that goes up the mesa. No camping is allowed though

Not really, you would be pretty hard pressed finding ones with suitable width. Most of the trees are cedars
