The lake is very low. My campsite is located well within the lakebed. Still it appears people are fishing. There is lots of room for primative camping which is available without a reservation (a rare thing in NM parks.) It is close to town and has good cell service.

$14 for electric and water hook ups during the spring/summer season. From October – April they shut off the water at the campsites and only have one spicket near the dump station for drinking water. They also shut down the bathroom/shower houses from October – April. The campsite does lock its gates after 5 p.m. so you are not able to drive back to your campsite after then, but they do have overflow parking where you can park and walk to your campsite. Overall, this campground was clean, easy to navigate and was a great price at $14 a night.

Arrive before 5 pm to enjoy 50 amp hookups for $14. Lake view. In Nov water at campsite was winterized but we filled up after using the RV dump area. Will stay here again.

Place needs some work. Lake is low, but all lakes are low at this time. Restrooms are either fully or partially closed. No showers at this time :( But The area is beautiful Great fishing Beach front camping. Mr. Vigil was a great camp host. Very knowledgeable about the park and the Las Vegas area (Thanks for the recommendation to Olivia’s , the food was great) The camp ground is aging and it shows, in need of some upgrades and repairs. Well worth the stay, solid 3 stars. Oh and, the park locks the gates at 9pm at this time of year.

Yes, just a couple minutes from the lake. Very easy to get to the plaza.
Not that I know of but you can probably make a request for them to put one that's a good idea.
There is first come first serve to the north side. But if you want one with a covered table area water and power you have to reserve as far as of Last month, May 2022
5 dollars per car for the day
No. Looks like 6/20/20 is the first day for overnight camping but that could change. If you make reservations and they change the date of the opening they will refund your camping fee but not the reservation fee which is $4/day max $12.
It was full just back in June 2019 when I was visiting my children in Mora, new Mexico.
Not for to long because it could get towed or something else
You will have to park outside the gated area and walk back to your camp.
No improved sites but plenty of room in the primitive area around the lake. We are here now. Maybe check the website for reservable sites.
If the question can you dump your tanks at Storrie Lake, the answer is no. The park is open all year but the dump station is closed until they fix it. You can dump at the over night park across from Walmart for $10. Villanueve state park is also open all year and their dump station is open. Both are nice places to camp. We were at storrie lake 2 nites ago and we were the only ones there. It was 20° over nite and windy.
Boating is allowed most of the year. It is a wake lake, so you are not limited to trolling.
Probably not. Ice may form close to the edges, but not enough to safely stand on. People actually jump in the lake on New Year's day.
I pulled in late with no reservation and the host was very hospitable.
You can go to the park host at the entrance and request assistance. They should be able to help you out.
Can you have a fire for cooking?
