Terrible service in the Atlanta airport and their roadside assistance number would never answer our call when the vehicle had engine problems. Definitely would use a different rental company.

I don't know if they do the same for certain qualifications or people but I did NOT have to pay a deposit. Unless they put a HOLD on my card, I wasn't charged until I brought the car back.. hope this helps
Yes, if you reserve your car ahead of time, all you have to do is go to the zone you chose and pick your car.
Sky train is super easy
Your return ticket is what is needed to rent with a bank card at the airport or any local location. Make sure if you extend you get it in writing. I am being charged $5,000 for one week that we thought we had extended because my son died and we didn't get the extension in email and now I have to fight to get an entire month corrected for one week.
When you come into the airport complex, you'll see the signs for the rental car center. Obey the signs; if returning to Hertz, get into the right lane, and further right at the bottom of the hill. Hertz return is the first right, you'll see the sign.
Valid Driver's License and Renter's Credit / Debit Card
As far as I know, there is no way to directly contact that location. At least I couldn't with the fiasco I had with the company. I suggest using Enterprise if circumstances allow.

This location is at the airport so you're not meant to leave a car there. But you can certainly park in the parking garage of any terminal at the airport. My memory is $16 A-day for airport parking otherwise you'll need to park at 1 of those off site locations with a shuttle

When leaving the south terminal, there are signs to guide you. Head out the doors where the taxis are, and take the ATL SkyTrain to the Rental Car Center. Two stops, and you're there. Hertz, Avis, Enterprise and Sixt are on the third floor, all others on the second level.
No. Varying by vehicle, as long as you have the key fob on you, only you can operate the vehicle, including remote start. If you walk out of range, if the vehicle can't detect the fob, it will automatically shut off, as a failsafe.
I left my keys in a rental car and the manager on duty reached out. Yes, call the local location you returned the vehicle to. Much success.

Pretty much the same place you pick it up. Use Google Maps to get back to the airport. Maps will have an option to direct you specifically to the car rental center. You can follow signs add you approach the airport for car rental return, then keep an eye out for signs directing you to the Hertz section. It's a breeze.
Follow the signs to the car rental area and just walk into the Hertz location - no need to go through the airport itself
You can add a driver when picking up your car...they are vert efficient ....it literally takes minutes
I have been a member of number one Hertz Gold for Year's. It worked great. Get online and join and you can walk up to the counter with your valid driver's license and leave with a car instantly. In largest cities you just go get your car that you want and leave. It takes a day to get you approved and there's no deposit.
I never heard you can pay cash? But I do know you need credit or debit card. From past experience just have a credit card on hand. Hertz, can be wishy-washy on how you are going to pay. If your credit good or bad they still mighy ask for credit card. FYI, if your credit is not good they might not accept your cash.

Go to the baggage area of the airport and go out to the shuttle bus area. Then take the rental car train that takes you over to the cars.

Air train is wheelchair accessible. It’s on top floor of rental car building accessible by elevators. Stops at all airport terminals.
There is a public garage across the enterance the desk is up stairs
Also, sometimes Rental car agency will give you ride to airport. I know Hertz has given me a ride back & I've also taken the bus from car rental center. They come fairly often.
Going back to the rental center, it's the first parking lot in your left, you'll easily see the signs.
