No. Varying by vehicle, as long as you have the key fob on you, only you can operate the vehicle, including remote start. If you walk out of range, if the vehicle can't detect the fob, it will automatically shut off, as a failsafe.
The key must be within range of the vehicle to start. If you drive off without the key it will power itself off. I don't know what the range is. Probably depends on the model of car and how fresh the battery is.
Guys i have the key the key was in my 2 story house in the back bedroom the key was not in the car i drove this car cut it off and on it would only lock from the inside yes you would think the key was in the car but it was not i have the key now in my hand with that being said i dont think i should have to pay for a defective vehicle key because i was told what you are saying but thats not true these cats can crank without the key
