They charge here to cover vaccinations and spay/neuter. Worth it in my opinion since I would have to get those done anyway and probably at a much higher cost.

It is $25 for the euthanasia and $25 for cremation up to 50 pounds. It is $5 more for each additional 20 pounds for cremation. If you want private cremation you will need to call the cremation service directly, 'petland.' Currently Animal Services is by appointment only so you would have to call first. I think this would have nothing to do with animal services but the state Department of Fish and Wildlife would have more knowledge and more information about what it might be able to do about it if anything.

The other issue is you could have been close to a nest and it was trying to fool you into thinking that it might be easy prey on. This is common among many ground nesting birds like ducks.

I have not seen very many Australian cattle dogs there and I don't believe I've ever seen puppies their. There might be a cattle dog rescue somewhere in the state but I'm not sure.

No but this is a very good shelter. They do everything they can for all the animals they get unless they are way over capacity or the animal is really bad off. They have to consider the safety of all the rest of their animals as well. I have rescued many animals over my time and I go to Animal Services to adopt new animals as well as getting assistance finding animals that have already been adopted but are now missing.

I am not sure the temp either, but I have had to call to get a cooking dog out of a car and aid to the animal.

You leave the dog in the after hours kennel in the back where you fill out a,surrender form and pay the fee. There is a slot to leave both in. Usually, there is always someone working after hours in case of an animal emergency who will observe your drop off from security cameras.

If you go to the facility, they have binders with lost/found dog reports that you can look through. If your dog isn't there, then they have a form you can fill out to place in one of the binders.

Is your cat chipped? If not, it will be very hard to relocate him if someone brings to a shelter
