The carrier who delivers to our house never attempts to deliver packages. He simply sticks a "Missed Package" notice in our mailbox, so we have to drive down to this office EVERY TIME to get our packages. Numerous times he's put our packages in neighbors' mailboxes and vice versa. This is a pretty regular/known occurrence in our neighborhood. We've complained to management a couple times with no change or improvement. Ugh, I hate to give USPS a bad review because they're still a million times better than FedEx or UPS, so I'm adding two stars just for that. I don't know if they're pressuring carriers to rush through deliveries or what, but I hope they can get it together.

I mailed about 60 graduation cards from here two weeks ago and about half of them never got delivered. It's a scam to charge for postage and have so much of thr mail disappear. Are your employees stealing the mail? What is going on? This is not okay. Those cards were extremely expensive.

Packages often disappear when they go through this office prior to delivery, and USPS never takes responsibility for lost items, even when there is no other logical explanation for such loss other than theft or gross incompetence on the part of the delivery drivers. It's odd that email providers take responsibility to provide free security to protect the information and items that are routinely shared through their service--including some protections for private information, like names, addresses, and financial information--yet USPS is not required to provide the same level of security for the same type of information. Whenever my identity has been usurped, it's because of poor mail security. I cringe whenever I see Amazon has chosen to ship my orders through USPS because I never know if I'll receive them. And, on top of that, the employees are often rude and unhappy at USPS. It's sad that Amazon employees have a greater commitment to fulfilling the postman's oath than the actual postmen/women. I'm done messing with USPS; I'd rather drive across the country to deliver mail myself than buy another stamp in support of such a broken, inefficient system!

I was physically yelled at by a man working behind the counter today for giving him "too much work" and "making his job too hard." I am a small business owner and needed to drop off a large shipment of orders (300 mailers) all were in postal bins. They instructed me to leave them outside, unattended behind an unlocked gate. Olympia has a high crime rate and the post office is not in a good area. I refused due to the value of my products and brought them all inside. I was then demeaned in a raised voice by an older man that worked there. He complained the whole time and even pointed out the number of my packages to other workers. I explained to him, that I did try to call to see how best to drop them off but they did not have a local number available. I couldn't risk something happening to my products. This just infuriated him more. If you hate working with packages and people MAYBE you shouldn't work for the post office!

They have one just for laughs and art deco. But for real its better to just go to the place in person instead of wasting your time calling
Because they're working so hard sorting mail for hundreds of customers around the state/country/national/international... they don't have a receptionist to answer thousands of call.
A while back I went in late at night and homeless person was going through the junk mail cans. Plus I had seen some sleeping in there. I'm pretty sure that's why. Only open till 6 pm
No I don't but I'd love to go there
No outgoing on Sunday.
Mail it can be delay, or just heavy volume after holidays can delay the mail. Informed delivery is not 100% accurate
Supervisor in your local USPS
Go in person. Ask for supervisor on duty.
Let your carrier know you can sign the form for future deliveries, so they can have it on file.
Yes, you can. Ask for a form to request mail pick up.
