This zoo is perfect for a half day trip if you are in the city. It’s not too large and not to small. We had our little one walk everywhere. Good amount of animals but we missed out the Giraffe feeding. We will definitely come back to do that next time.

Must see! We loved this so much! Aquariums, reptiles, birds and more! Easy walk through. They also have a beautiful Christmas light walk through I did last December. In this visit in September the lights were already going up!

They added refill water stations

Amazing zoo! Lots of cool animals. The vultures were a neat natural addition to see!

Typically the zoo does not accept animal donations or offer medical care for animals. This is a general practice for certified zoos and aquariums.
It is unlikely that this was food for the orangutan. Often times there will be a variety of recyclable objects that won't harm the animals placed in the enclosures as part of an animal enrichment program, so it is likely that the objects were part of that program. To know for sure you can talk to one of the zoo keepers. They usually have an appointed time during to day to stand near the exhibit and answer questions.
Yes but get there early. If it's a pretty day it will get busy fast.
Yes there is a ♿ accessible Entrance.. And the park it self is wheelchair ♿ accessible
If you're worried about the heat, I would get there when it opens. That way you can see the whole thing and finish by lunch, before it gets too hot. Most of the zoo is shaded too, so you won't be in direct sunlight most of the time.
The food policy has changed. Outside food is now allowed. Restrictions include no glass bottles, plastic lids or straws, and no alcohol. Also do not feed the animals your food.
At this time we are allowing outside food. Please check our website to read the guidelines
You can't pet animals. But feeding the Giraffes are a option.
How wonderful, you should call to see if they have a rescue.
Yes I bought in outside food for the kids. Water juice and snacks
Adults 10 dollars
$10 dollars for adults and $7 dollars for children 4 and up
I ate a BLT, and it was awesome. Im sure it was more than a mickey D's burger but the taste and the environment was worth sitting at the table outside.
The zoo's website mentions no special activities for April 7.
You can feed the giraffes. But it is only during certain times. It costs $5 and you can feed them lettuce. Very kid friendly
This site is not monitored by the zoo or it's employees. Call and ask
Yes there are sloths, but no petting. In October at the Texas State Fair in Dallas at Fair Park, they have a fantastic petting zoo - lots of animals to feed and pet.
It would be $ 30 for adults ($ 10 each) and $ 7 for the child.
I believe 1 passed away and the other was being rehabilitated but can get COVID so they are being more careful.
Your tickets ARE good all day even if you leave and return 👍🏼
I believe I remember seeing a few service dogs at Cameron Park Zoo, but otherwise pets are discouraged as not to upset the wildlife.
They should be they only close for major holidays
No but they have coyotes
Yes, it has
Yes they do. I believe the sign said $27for them.
It is for the most part. Mostly they want you to wear a mask.
No reservations needed. Some exhibits are not open but still a nice day.
Yes, we have a 50,000 gallon saltwater aquarium with five 10,000 gallon aquariums in the same area. We also have freshwater aquariums. This facility is mostly a zoo.
To go the just the zoo no, but you might be able to get some if you were gonna have a party there but then canceles
They do allow outside food now. Worked there for a few days and people were bringing coolers.
You can visit our website on the Visit page and click on the re-open tab and it will show what is open and what is closed.
The City has decided to close the Zoo and some other public areas beginning tomorrow through March 29. There have been no cases at the zoo, but for the safety of our guests, staff, and animals it was felt this would be for the best. Please visit our website for more information. Thank you.

I work at Cameron Park Zoo and yes we do have Gerenuk. In fact we have a baby named Drax. Due to the cold weather it will be spring before he goes out on exhibit with a regular schedule.
Yes, but there is a rental fee
No
Unfortunately we do not. There are so many trees and hills that it is difficult to do the whole zoo.
No, no pets allowed
If you are based at Ft. Hood you can purchase discounted tickets at the Leisure Travel Services office on base. Yes the wait is worth it if you purchase your tickets at the zoo. Usually the wait is not long. You cannot get discounted tickets on line. You need to show military proof to receive discount either as the active service person or family or retired.
Yes they are!, but no glass containers
The lemurs have been out everytime I have been there. Just watch the heat the website doea mention that certain animals get kept indoors during extreme weather.
The paths are kind of narrow so I doubt it.
Bring lots of water and you can bring whatever you want to eat lots of areas to munch
There is a little water feature that they have where the kids can play. Didnt get much time to stop but saw plenty of kids playing in swim suits
I think it was 10 per person if I do not know it was not more than 15 per person
$10.00 per adult I think senior citizens receive a discount $7.00 per child 3 years and under are free.

I work for Cameron Park Zoo. We will be open Friday April 19 and on Easter Sunday regular hours for both days. The only days we are closed are Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day.
You just go in and order. There is one place at the beginning, I believe, and then a place in the middle near the giraffes. But you just order when you are there.
I work for Cameron Park Zoo. It is spring break week. We will be busy each day this week. Next week will also be busy, but not as bad.
I work for Cameron Park Zoo. It is spring break and we are busy every day through this weekend. We will also be busy next week, but not quite as bad.
I work for Cameron Park Zoo and we currently do not have armadillos.
As long as the 17 year old accompanies the 15 year old throughout the zoo it will be OK.
Yes we open our regular business hours. 9 am to 5 pm
Animals being on exhibit is always weather dependent. It looks like the high for the weekend is in the 70s and will be sunny, so they will likely be out.
Due to inclement weather tonight's movie has been cancelled
During the fall and winter months Tree Tops Cafe is open Friday, Saturday, & Sunday. The snack shack will be open on Saturdays and Sundays.
The turtles and tortoises are scattered all throughout the Zoo! There is also a reptile exhibit!
I wanna say no.. spell because they do special events and special things I would call and ask
According to the list of zoos that you can get in for discounted admission with membership at Dallas, this zoo is on the list and should be half price. We're headed there now and we will find out for sure. Update: Yes, you get in for half price. Just tell them at the ticket booth and show them your Dallas Zoo membership card. Our family of 5 (2 adults, 2 kids ages 10 and 6 years old, and a 3 year old) got in for $17 total today.
Yes. They are only closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years.
Admission is $ 10 for adults. The children's entrance is less I think $ 6.

Adults(13+) – $10 Children 4-12 yrs – $7 Sr. Citizens (60+) – $9 Children 3 yrs and under are free Military discount available.
Great for all ages. If your elderly and it's a hot Texas day it might be a little challenging due to limited buildings with AC.
$10 for adults. Check online for coupons, because when i went there was one for a free kid with adult admission. Mornings are usually the best time to go, but make sure to eat before going because the snack prices are high (as can be expected)
As everyone has stated the dog must be a Service Dog covered under federal law, but does NOT have to be "certified" as those are scams. Please do not "certify" your dog as this is also a federal crime,
