The food policy has changed. Outside food is now allowed. Restrictions include no glass bottles, plastic lids or straws, and no alcohol. Also do not feed the animals your food.
Google Cameron zoo, under FAQS they address what can be taken inside. Also I took in crackers, bottled water and other snacks, no one ask me about anything.
I walked in with an over the shoulder cooler bag and was never questioned. We sat and ate sandwiches that we brought and nobody said anything so it might be worth a shot? My child has some dietary restriction so I often push the limits of places but I got no resistance and wasn't even questioned at any point.
From what I recall, no coolers or anything, but if you have a baby bag or something, who's to say you can't smuggle some extra foods in?
