Hi sorry I didn't get back to you earlier out working however I believe July 6th the Clint Bauer Coca-Cola 400 edition also it starts at 7:30 p.m.. towns usually pretty packed if you take the back road you'll be just fine however I would suggest going early parking away from the stadium or y'all to speedway and enjoying the day walk around and have fun talk to people it's a great great time if you've never been. There is room in the parking lot if you are just visiting the track and museum for a few hours. They have reservations available for places inside the oval at race times but they may be difficult to obtain because of the limited number available. Good luck on that one. Not sure haw expensive they would be. There are also parks nearby for RV's too. Have fun.

This is jeep week. The speedway is free entrance however only jeeps allowed inside the track area. You can park and take a tram inside for ten dollars round trip. Many vendors music and an obstacle course for jeeps

Some special events allow you to drive your own car but you have to be a part of the event and pay the fee.

La Mesa RV is having a RV show outside the track near Crackle Barrel and IMSA is holding the Roar before the 24 in the track this weekend.

When we did the all-access tour we did have garage access I'm not exactly sure what their Friday Roar is but when you do the all access tour you have infield Privileges and garage privileges

They a have a race museum on sight a gift shop relating to race apparel and track related events. They offer tours at different cost depending on the amount of time you spend with them.

The race starts at 2:30p. That is typically when the driver introductions, national anthem and associates fly over start. The cars will actually start going around by 3. The race length is variable based on the number of cautions.... It wont be less than 3.5 hours and probably closer to 4.5. This year will probably go quick as the cars are lower and there were dramatically less wrecks than last year during sundays clash race. This is Danica's last race so we know there will be atleast was crash into the wall this year.

The qualifying will also set the grid for the two twin 125 the following Thursday they will determine the final field for the 500

There are car washes on Belleview Avenue which is the continuation of I 4 east of Rt 95 where you can wash ir rinse off your RV. By this time, You should already have your tickets for the race which, both have an information packet which will explain how the RV parking works. In the information package or online at the website, there should be further information regarding RV services. Also, on Tomoka Road, just to the west of the I 95 interchange with Rt 92, where the flea market is, there is a regular campground for RV'S & the Flea market has a campground as well. You can check there for RV services. The Daytona information package with race tickets is usually pretty thorough, but if you are waiting to buy tickets there, online & the information number for Daytona's ticket office can refer you to more info, should you need it. The paperwork & website should give you either the infield or West Lot locations of wash racks if they exist. My regards

"Prize purse" is a portion of the money that was paid as an "Entrance fee" for the car and driver to enter the race. This portion (3 - 5% say) times the number of "entrants" equals the total "prize purse" and the rest of the entrance fees goes to track maintainence, track workers wages, property taxes, etc and the biggest cost "insurance" on the track property as a whole (They have to insure the entire property, parking lot included for extra coverage on race days, flea markets, car shows, etc). The track knows six months in advance how many "entrants" (Cars, Drivers, Mechanics and Staff) are going to show up for each race. Thats why they can advertise a "Purse Prize" weeks ahead of the race day. You pay track property and insurance coverage even when you go to a flea market at the track (Example - "$5 entrance fee"). Yes, the winning driver gets a beautiful watch as well, engraved with the name of the race and the date.
