You have the ARCA Race on that Saturday before the 500, Qualifying for the 500 and The Clash happen on that Sunday. That Thursday is the Can-Am Duels, Friday is the Truck race, Saturday is XFINITY, and that Sunday is the Daytona 500.
From the Rolex 24 hour race all the way to the 500 mile race a few weeks later, Daytona Speed Week is an epic adventure any way you look at it. I strongly recommend camping in the infield for one of the best racing experiences in the world.
I haven't missed speedweeks since 1987, 31 straight years, that says it all, an awsome week of many different racing functions, and the fans are awsome!!! Just do it!!
Christian Koelle is correct about race week. Just make sure you check out some of the other attractions during speed week down time.
Do it! It's everything Christian Noelle said, and a lot of fun. On the off days, you are only an hour from Orlando, if you can tear yourself away from the beach.
